apocalypse (1 of 3)

A time at night, after you closed the shop, walked out, saw a lot of people at road, confused and dazed then I thought, what time was it? What happened to this place? I know it rained hard but never thought, it will like in a bad sci fi movie. It's like in the set of Mad Max. Or, I am Legend. Everybody seems to be lost.

When I'm walking down the road and straight to our home, very dark, very quiet and very surreal. I asked to myself, what the hell happened? Well, I did not check the news.

Until, when I opened my reliable tv phone, it was brownout here at that Saturday night, and heard sexy babe Cristine Reyes is at her roof for hours with her pamangkins, and Pasig and Marikina cities are in deep waters, oh boy, is this the end?

Well, good thing, rain stopped at that night.

At morning, I just got up as usual, do the same ritual, praying for a good day ahead, and went ahead to open the shop. I know it was a rainy day but, never expected that Puregold at QI was drowned already, or how about our house was flooded again so much like last time for what? Hours only, oh by the way, our compound, was already flooded.

Then, scares came to my nerves when something exploded outside, then lights out.

Maybe it's because how busy we are that day, everybody lined up in the store counters, even us, we have customers buying cellphone batteries, call cards, and even the dusted car chargers... It was a good sale that day, but when I gone home, I just wished, I stayed at the shop because of the electricity. Just a normal life at least.

I took a bath even it's dark, not that dark, thanks to that one candle.

While I browse through tv shows that night, same news, worse news. I became worried to my friends, living at those flooded areas, like in Rizal and Marikina. I hope they are fine after this disaster. I thought, good thing that storm which I thought it's not Signal number 1. It's almost like Milenyo in the sense of the damage caused but good thing, we are still here, after one day of that heavy rains.

I also thought, good thing I was not studying in UST anymore, because if I am still studying at UST, I may stay there for a day, even my house is well near.

I know many lives were ruined because of the storm, and I just wish and pray that they can recover and move on. It will be a long one, but we have to move forward.

Even our dearest President, was not spared because of Ondoy. Oh, even the show Bitag, they showed replays last Saturday. hehe

Well, I just slept, try to listen to my zune and wake up next day. Sunday.

Hoping, indeed, it will be over on Sunday.
