I still have the pirated CD of the best of the smiths. Hehe Of course, at first, "this charming man", and "heaven knows I'm miserable now" are the only songs I know and the other tracks? I skipped it. hehe Until I heard this song. At first it was boring because it's slow but when Marr's rifts and Morrissey's voice came in, that's it. I love this song.
Cleverness is really present here. Definitely. Eventhough the lyrics are somewhat, repeatitive, the whole song made me stare, my life is some what, a joke which is not funny anymore. hehe
Well, the song is the longest of my fave the smiths songs, and the rhythm of it is like a hymn due to the long rifts and vocals, fantastic. Oh the trick of the song is at the end, which you thought it's over, but not yet. Marr is not finished yet. hehe
That's how great the song is, I definitely recommend anybody to listen to it. I know it did not reach any top 1 position, even in the UK but damn, it's good. Morrissey should be given an english title. Sir Morrissey and Sir Marr, the other two? Forget it. hehe
I also checked that it's not only the emo factor present or even the cleverness of the songs, but also some desparation in a bright side. I mean, like I said yesterday, the tone is fun but when you check the lyrics, it's not fun. hehe
That's why I love them, but as number 2 band because of New Order. hehe I mean even they are fun, but my real feelings show in New Order/JD. However, the smiths are still great. Ah in terms of talent, of course, I will go to New Order/JD.
