Long Title, geez. hehe But as you know, I am not really into Hip hop, or rap.. I have some but not lot of it. I watched this trailer and damn, some rap or hip hop artist are saying that this group called a tribe called quest are one of the greatest, ever to promote or show hip hop/rap in an artistic way. Well, the director is a white man, so, I was kinda interested. I said to myself, well, I'll wait for that documentary!!! Quite curious.
Suprise, after it was shown in many festivals, this is it. I just watched it last Wednesday and ate up my time to prepare for work! hehe But it was a well time spent.. One of the best music documentaries, especially for hip hop.
Although, there are some minor hiccups perhaps. Hmmmm, just the pace of the story is quite slow at first and yes, I hope it has a longer version, how they make the music, and influences to not only famous artist but the masses. Although it showed but it was quite short.
But the good thing about this documentary, well.. First, how good they are, how they became that group, after watching some bloc parties, DJ's at their neighborhood.. Getting help from Jungle Brothers and De La Soul, going mainstream and became successful. Second, how they are able to make such good music and after 2 albums, all the artists want to do a cover in their 3rd album. Wow.. That's how good they are circa 1990's. They did revolutionize hip hop without bickering, or anger or pimping like it is shown today. They made hip hop as a craft..
What I liked most? Well, the struggles they faced, the fighting between Q-Tip and Phife Dawg, then Ali was kinda doesn't know what to do. How about Jairobi which is always the middle of the fights. The downfall, which is quite sad, like the last album they did, Phife commented it should not be the love movement, it should be love hate movement. hehe Then, of course, the success they did and how they became legends.. Until now, suprisingly, they are touring, still to overseas.
I was sad when the parts of Phife Dawg, when he got sick and needed operation, they went to a reunion tour, had some fights again with Q-TIP and the part that the kidney donor was his wife. Very sad moment shown there, and as Jairobi describing how hard Phife recovering from the operation, it just a sad sight.
All ends well for them, as they tour overseas, the last one they shown was in Japan and it ends, they still owed one album from Jive. hehe
Because of that docu, I go right away and get their albums. hehe Of course, you know where I will get that.
So, I became their fan. =)
Weird name, but oh well, their sounds are like looking for something.

unplanned 28
Wow, sana later na to pero nung check ko ang blog ko eh one month pala ako walang unplanned. Hmmmm di ko alam kung ano malagay. hehe
That's the purpose of this topic, purely, evenly.. Spontaneous.. Hay, ano nga ba. For this week siguro, it's more to finish the stuff I need to finish, some deadlines and dues. Siguro pressured na din, I just pray hard and do the things I need to do. Just let this week finish.
PBA just started and I can say, maganda yun season. Lalo na yun RoS with their Leethal Weapon. Ganda naman ng monicker ni Paul Lee, better than cobra commander. hehe Ah, ano pa, NBA season, for sure, wala sa November, still hoping maglalaro pa din sila.
Ah, yes, sobrang busy at ayun nagkasakit naman ako, one of the worse ubo't sipon I had. And yes, I need to work with it, at ngayon, thank God, mabuti na ko. hehe Not fully healed pero I'm getting there. =) Thankfully na din, no freaking storms at sana for the whole week.
Net is working good pero not consistent, at lalo naman yun phone, sira, mukhang pupunta pa ko sa labas to call bayan again to fix the damn landline.
Well, a lot of clutter to fix this week na din, tapos may sat shift pa ko, na sana, kaunti lang yun work. hehe
I got my results from the APE and sad to say, may follow up. Damn, I should take the healthy way early.
It is ironic that the talk yesterday is about being desperate with God, which I shared I am desperate, always. That's why well, for this week, to be successful, need to do desperate ways. The right solution, or right actions. Geez, pero naisip ko din, matatapos na din to as I planned. It will. hehe
Ah buhay nga naman.. It is a long journey.. For this time, steady lang, doing some strides at important is get some rest. Gusto ko sana mag VL kaso, I'll save it for the last month. hehe Then yun natira, next year at isave para sa mahabang VL!!! Yeah boy. =)
I have a goal next year na, but siyempre di ko naman sabihin agad. Parang theme na for next year which it is and I can believe, it will happen.
For now, let me out for this week. And I can breathe. Whoa..

Not Showing: Che 2
Some hereos are quite insane, they will do insane things to achieve their ultimate goal. For self, or even so, for country.
Che, as I forgot, doesn't have that name in his real name, asked Fidel that once Cuba revolution is over, he will go other South American countries to pursue the armed revolution he did for Cuba. Fidel, even he pursuaded Che to stay, agreed.
Story is Fidel announced that he received a letter from Che, stating he will leave Cuba and do some heroic act in other parts of Latin America, also said that he might be dead already. Reliquishing some of his powers in Cuba to pursue this mission.
Then he was joking, he is still alive and kicking, going to Bolivia. Bolivia has problems in their mining industry, especially to their labor force, force labor and sort of, working in harsh conditions and it affects the country as well. He went there to set up a revolution army, then he asked for a support from Lou Diamond Philipps, which is a non violent activist member which is well did not help.
After setting up the camp, unfortunately, as he go along, he was betrayed and caught by Bolivia army backed by CIA and he was executed. Sad one for my beloved hero.
Well, yeah, honestly the first one is really better than this one. But you will need to watch this of course for continuity process of the story and how Che really end his campaign. I miss the interviews at the first part, the characters involved in the first part as well and yeah, its just not very good. Not that bad though because of his adventures and purely, Benicio's supreme acting.
It is not bad because the remaining parts of this story are important even the scene which he is going to be killed. I loved how he answered the dude, asking why he believes in God even he is communist. Che answered, it is only an ideal but not really pursuing people to leave God, I pray to him and do this for the people. Then oh well, got killed.
The chic from the first 2 bourne flicks, damn, I like her! Because she speaks fluent spanish although not perfect but enough good. The mob boss from Fast Five as president of Bolivia, great part.. Hmmmmm yeah about the Fil-am Lou Diamond, although it's short but good one, it just that real dude, is annoying, scared perhaps.
Even the costumes are not that great like the first one and the pace is quite fast, the story is well delivered in the sense of finishing the story. Perhaps, it is rushed to really finished it, that's why the first one is better than this. The only thing really stands out for both films is Benicio. Great potrayal of a great revolutionary, a hero and an icon. Good film from Steven, it's not really great but good enough to back up the first. Story wise.
Indeed, he serves the right to play that dude, but I was thinking Javier Bardem will be a great one or I was suprised the back up actor was Val Kilmer which I don't know how he will do it. hehe
Perhaps, Benicio is enough and perfect!

Why I write about this one? Siguro I check others how they put names sa phonebook nila. Iba plain letters, iba well, sobrang characters na weird. Iba, ayun, jejemon names. hehe
Iba sobrang haba kasi nilalagyan ng something sa dulo just to know san group of contacts or group of friends.
For me, ayun, simple as pag di masyado close, may something character or something at the end. hehe Pag special or someone really close, ayun plain characters text. No other groups or added character, simple name. That's all.
Yun groups naman, madali lang yun simply add them to a group sa phone and pag nagsend ng text madali. Or for other details, add sa name then choose add details. Siyempre sa low end na phones, less memory for one name, simply name and number lang. Geez. Pathetic. hehe
Why I thought of that? Siguro, easy recognition at I value those who are close to me. Siyempre lagi mo silang natetext at nakakausap and besides, madali din for me lalo ngayon, marami nagtext mostly for business which sometimes, they can wait.

flashbacks: Long Awaited CRAP meeting
I can say this year, eh sobrang, I mean sobrang salat at maalat ang meeting namin apat dahil sa sobrang busy, nagkasakit at emergency.. Geez, parang that was the only 2nd time around lang kami nacomplete this year, to meet us, fab 4. Naks! Di naman kami badet unlike those 5. hehe
Ah, yeah because of Igz Mom, si Tita eh nagkasakit and of course, he needs some support lalo na kay Doc, after that Sunday eh ako naman pumunta na sa kanila. I was surprised na nauna ako. While going there, well, it's been a while not seeing our great chef/friend. hehe
Very busy at this job and ayun pa may emergency kaya sana may maitulong kami kahit papano for him. I was not able to visit nga sa hospital kasi sa sked ko and yeah, busy as well dahil sa job ko as a moving store. You know what it is. hehe Collection na din.
Si Doc, actually went already it's just he needs to have Tita a follow check up.. Si Sir naman, the usual toxic stuff going on sa buhay and kanyang work. hehe Sawa na ko sa kanya.. Hahaha pero wala kasi siya sa worship at that Sunday so ayun dun ko lang siya makikita.
After I ate sa not so good chic-boy in UST, I texted the other two kung tuloy kasi di naman nagrereply si Igz, but due to persistence ni Sir and naisip ko nothing if I invade sa kanila, especially si Tita naman yun, kakahiya kung di ako pupunta, eh tumuloy na ko.
Long and behold, I saw Igz na nakatulog pala at ako ang unang nakapunta. Siyempre, laglagan este kamustahan pala with Igz and of course, si Tita. Looking better and she needs some long rest and the same time, healing din. Stress free life.
Of course dumating na si Doc, doing the usual stuff at huli pa si Sir. Paspecial talaga. hehe Tamang tama, ADMU vs DLSU game which you know who won. Ehem..
Then while watching that, ayun may minor operation na nagaganap with Doc saka Ate Dang. Ayos, very graphic! hehe Some laughs and great work by the Doctor couple, Tin and Ian. Naks ang sweet!!!!!
Kami naman tatlo, ayun walang katapusan comment sa ongoing game.. Which sabi ni Sir di manood kasi alam na mangyayari, pero talagang loyal siya, he watched until the last second of this well, horrifying game. hehe
After that, ayun biglang, as in bigla nagluto si Chef at siyempre, hindi kami nafail na di masarap. Masarap!!! hehe Nakakatawa, nagrereklamo pa kasi yun iba na kulang pa daw ang libre. Grabe talagang taong yun. hehe
Ako, satisfy na at partida, bihira na magluto si Chef, pero walang mintis pa din. Sana nga may dessert, kahit Dan Eric's lang! hehe
Well, the last time we met, if I remember it right sa Thor, so this time, since most of them wants to be scared the shit out of them.. Final Destination 5 daw, instead of Columbiana ata and Conan.
Payag ako, the last time I watched a final destination movie was the first one. Nah, di na ko nageexpect na maganda o sulit, importante magkakasama kami. =)
Went to Trinoma, ate some desserts, I tried yogurt and Chef, others, the tried and tested, diabetic and sugarful, cold DQ. At habang naghihintay ng showing, ayun kaunting stroll.. Kala bibili pero tingin tingin lang, lalo ako, walang pera. hehe Tapos upo, usap, laglag tapos kwentuhan.
Then, FD 5 starts, and ends. Review? Hmmmm suprising, worth the time, I love the chick who got killed sa LASIK, but enough good lang. Not very good, pero pwede idownload with the other 4. Galing ng twist sa end. hehe
Definitely, pwede lang. Parang green lantern lang, pwede na, malapit sa pagiging Legion. hehe
Anyhow, after that, we got tired, had fun, love and yes, the company we missed definitely worthwhile. At lagi, kailangan pumunta sa Chic-boy Morato for a final eat. Geez, I'm full that day talaga. Pero, kahit ngarag na ko at lahat...

Went to Trinoma, ate some desserts, I tried yogurt and Chef, others, the tried and tested, diabetic and sugarful, cold DQ. At habang naghihintay ng showing, ayun kaunting stroll.. Kala bibili pero tingin tingin lang, lalo ako, walang pera. hehe Tapos upo, usap, laglag tapos kwentuhan.

Anyhow, after that, we got tired, had fun, love and yes, the company we missed definitely worthwhile. At lagi, kailangan pumunta sa Chic-boy Morato for a final eat. Geez, I'm full that day talaga. Pero, kahit ngarag na ko at lahat...
