Quite suprising my typing speed became 54wpm and 99% accuracy.. Yan ang nagagawa sa pagblog ko every month. Great typing excercise. hehe

I'm very happy from last night kasi nagkita ang mga 2cpm peeps!!! Yeah, yun nga lang kaunti lang at wala yun mga promotor ng kalokohan dati. hehe
Damn, I got addicted sa Sonnets Vs. Haikus post, nabad trip na nga ko kasi late na ata magpost for this week. hehe Pero ok lang, I should study how to make a Sonnet. To write one perhaps. Gusto ko yun talaga English style. hehe British style indeed.
Very suprising that I know ano ang gagawin ko na sa The Feast, although I need to wait, pero alam na nila. Naman. hehe Saka I need to know my work first, baka mahirapan ko gawin. But anyway, for Him, anything is possible.. =)

I have mixed emotions about one of my literary and musical Idols.. Morrissey!! May 13 na.. Bad trip, that was not even publicized.. Meaning, no the smiths fan here sa tin? Impossible!!! Or even his solo career perhaps. Malamang lahat ng fans niya dito, wish to watch his concert..
Mixed emotions? Happy because all of the sudden, one of my dreams either The Smiths will reunite and make a tour here or pwede na si Morrissey. hehe Confused, because I don't know, if he sings The Smiths songs, maganda kung complete, or at least with Johnny.. Kung siya lang, parang malungkot.. Iba naman kasi with the band itself. Although some songs pwede kahit siya na lang, like my fave Unloveable and This Charming Man.. But yun That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore, and Headmaster's Ritual, dapat The Smiths kakanta!! Another thing, what if, it will be cancelled like what we did sa The Killers..
If The Killers were not recognized here that much, paano pa si Sir Morrissey. classics: Scarface
I do understand now, why Mafia, Gangs and well.. Gangsta all live in the world until now, it's because of this film. Although a lot films does great depict how organized crime works, like Godfather, Untouchables, Goodfellas, and many more, or how about Gomorra, the italian mafia doc.. But this film, Scarface has a different touch, it has factors which made organized crime, quite popular..
Rappers, hell yeah like this film.. I remember one rapper has the poster of this film in his wall, then bed sheets? Geez.
Well, film was indeed a classic, I watched it and I don't care 2 and half hours of mayhem and powerful performance from all the aspects of the film. Story was very simple. Tony Montana was an immigrant from Cuba and wants to be successful in the USA, in Miami.. But it took a different turn when he works in a gang then he made way to rise up to become a powerful drug kingpin. Of course, it's not forever, he made a wrong decision in one of his hit jobs ended up losing his life.. Sad yet well, compelling.
Some very minor flaws of the film. Actually, it's just well, you can forget it that it has a flaw.. But nothing is perfect, or a perfect film. One flaw was, it has so many profanity, using the F word.. I think, it's one in each scene, except for the credits of course and the scenes were they are not speaking. I hope there are some scenes that are well, simple and good dialogue.. But well, can't remove that word. I'm not trying to be MPAA ratings whatever, I just hope that was reduced, like what Michelle's said in one scene, can Tony just say anything except for that word.
Another one, well I hope the scene in the bar was polished. I mean, the action scene there, I hope Brian de Palma hired good actors for the assasins but well, that's what can they do. It has that b movie mood which was not fit for this great film. But that can forgiven, I love how Tony killed those jerks. =) He got lucky..
The good stuff? Many!!!!
First was the soundtrack, although there were almost none or less songs used in the film, great musical scoring, very 80's to be exact. Thanks to Giorgio Moroder, the feel of the 80's it's there and even the scenes where something wrong happens, still used a good score for it. Especially the last scene, greatly done there. Great that the plan of having hip hop songs put in the remastered version, it ain't gonna work. It will look and sound bad. Damn..
Second, yes, the location for it, even with less production design, well, you have Cuba and Miami, a perfect fit for the personality of Tony and yes, his empire.. Great choice and I don't think there will be an another choice for the film. New York is good, but I don't think that will be fit for this one. Besides, it's hard to imagine Tony reigning with Italian's there. Geez, he will be killed in a beat. In Cali, it's also a good choice but Miami is perfect. Although when I checked imdb, wow.. Most of the scenes were shoot in Cali? I've got a good guess perhaps.
Third, director!!! After getting so much serious with Godfather, it was followed by this film which I think it was more relax for him and more focus in one character. Although it was not nominated or won any award, I love this film than Godfather 1. Of course I love Godfather series, but if I'm going to pick one of them against this one, I'm quite choose this first to watch than Godfather. I has faster pace, simple dialogue, more action scenes, and yes, the depth of acting for each character is still there even in a simpler plot.
Lastly, the actors, nonetheless.. The ones who brought this movie alive! From Tony's mom, sister which is Mary with a very long last name. But well, great actress making Tony obsessive and sophisticated. How about the first boss of Tony? That was a great act even in a short time, feel sorry for him in that film.. The partner of Tony? Damn, great performance, even he did not really speak spanish, his bodyguard which did not speak a word in the film.. Tony's minions, very believable minions.. And yes, how about the best friend of Tony? Come on, I hope he let him live, but Tony just went crazy because of her sister. Geez.. After all, without his best friend, I don't think he will become that great.. Yes, Michelle's role as Tony's wife which oh well... Sad thing for her. Great performance but I have another choice for that role, either at that time, can be Sharon Stone, Glenn Close or how about Deborah Harry? But well.. That's fine, I'm ok with what Michelle Pfeifer did. How about the killer at the end, nice get up, shades and the shotgun!
The one who really brought this film, cult status and recognition.. Al Pacino.. This role was for him. Nothing else, perfect for him, on how he speaks, acts, everything he did in this film seems to be natural. He swears perfectly in this film. =) I have many scenes I love in this film done by him.. But two scenes that stand out, one was how he killed his former boss and yes, the action packed finale!!! His pride never dies.. I was sad he did not get any nomination for the role, maybe because of the dialogue or maybe tough competition at that time. But I hope he got this one, because it's better than in Godfather 2, many might not agree but for me, with what he done for the film.. That's the best Al Pacino role I've watched. Of course, there was Carlito's Way, but well.. I still give this a best choice, best role for him..Even, yes, he did not speak so much spanish. Great dude..

Siyempre, di din kahaba ang gagawin ko kagaya ng title na to. How many times na ba ako napunta dito lately? After 2004, mga wala pang sampu na ata. But last year, mga twice na ko nakapunta.. Like I said in my previous posts, buenas ang mga students ng UST ngayon. Kagaya yun pamangkin ni Kuya Dong, commerce at yes, di lang BSC major in Business Admin, may specific course na!! Himala. hehe Malamang yun accounting hiwalay na sa commerce. Mabuti naman.
Not only commerce, siyempre, lahat ng college and yes, the whole UST itself. Kakamiss una yun tinoko park.. Nandun nagsimula ang lahat ng masayang pangyayari sa pagstay ko sa UST. Kopyahan, kalokohan, bentahan sa Corpo, kahit tulugan din!!! hehe Kita kita nga sa Tinoko bago umalis or gumimik. Nandun pa din siya hanggang ngayon.. Mabuti naman. How about, well, yun isang park sa labas ng Law? Actually bihira kami pumunta dun, pero yun coop ang lagi kami pumupunta.. Kaso sa di malaman rason, wala na.. Ginawa na din park. hehe Sayang, kasi kaysa lumabas ng dapitan.. Dun ka na lang sa COOP, lalo na yun mga street foods.
Siyempre, di naman mawawala yun library na notorious tulugan din. Tambayan kasi malamig at parking din lalo na sa commerce. hehe Sarap sa library, lalo na yun free internet pa. I don't know until now.

Although pinakamasaya sa Commerce building. Second the best sa kin yun Main building.. Aba, di lang maganda pumunta at really nostalgic kasi yun structure itself is a history.. Yun scary stories din ha!!! I can't forget yun story talaga ni Joanne na galing yun isa nagvendo from 2nd floor tapos nasa 1st floor vendo na.. Hehe Engineering building, well, pag no choice na kami, kailangan pumunta na ng Eng building kahit sakop na ni Ivan sa corpo yun. hehe Once lang naman kami pumunta dun.. Kaso nakakatawa lang, I see a lot of rotring and staedler... Geez.. Nice looking.
At sa Educ building, forget HRM, or Educ courses, how about music? Skip them.. Go directly sa Tourism rooms!!! Hehehe Ang saya at masaya talaga. hehe Alam na kung bakit..
Go farther to the right.. Ang grandstand, bad memories about ROTC especially what happened before. Also fun na din kasi bago mag ROTC, alam na kung nasan ang cadets. Hehe Counter na!!!
Yun swimming complex di naman namin nagamit, di kasi yung ang PE. hehe Yun publishing house, once a lifetime din. Gym, of course!!! PE at minsan parang nagbasketball din kami dun, parang Eng complex.. Tapos, yun isang court dun naglaro din kami.. Nakakalungkot lang, ayun yun gym gagawin na atang alumni complex. The other gym will get tight.. At siyempre, save the last venue.. The third best. Actually pwede sana the best kaso di naman kami taga dun. Bwahaha

Speaking of programs, I hope UST will improve like branching yun UST. Ang tagal na haka haka yun UST sa down south, or even sa Laguna. Ano na? Parang di na ata matutuloy yun. Improve yun curriculum, although iba na yun sa min pero sana itodo na yun improvement ng college programs.. Yun ibang colleges or courses, di na kailangan, kasi nagtotop naman sa board, sana yun ibang courses maging excellence na din.
And yes, damn.. Those top brass, shouldn't be so much playing safe of spending great things for the school. Come on, they are just doing it now. They should do that every year.. Damn year. It should not be spend only through those fireworks..

UST is always a blessing for me, kahit anak ko sige dito ka magaral pag no choice na. =) Saka kita naman kina Ate at Dad na nagenjoy sila studied in UST. Nashock lang ako na mukhang nasa dugo namin ang pagiging tomasino..

Although, well.. I can't seem to really up to now, can't believe that after HS was great. Then the best section.. Damn.. Simply.. But after that naman, all those 2 years which I thought it was not enough, moved on.. Everybody seems to stay put in their carrers, others well.. Change of carrers.. Most of us successful naman. I'm glad that everybody did not seem to get lost in their lives. I'm not sure sa iba na wala na ko balita..
Time really flies fast, after 7-8 years, I can still savor the belonging in this section. I still remember those days that I always go up and go to our room, wait for 4 hours.. Have fun and just seize this class day..

The Hunger Games
Life is indeed a game, you win great or lose badly.. Especially, if you're fighting for your dear life. You also need to fight not only for your self, but also to the country who are deprived from happiness.
Of course, I did not read the book. Curiously, I am looking at those big billboards before at National Bookstore to buy these books. From Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay, it was famous but not as famous from other so called Young Adult books like Twilight or even Percy Jackson. I'm not sure if Harry Potter is also considered a young adult books. But anyway, anybody buys it and I was surprised that this book is a hit even with its competition.
My expectations for this film, not very high. Why? Because of one of the great films depicting about youth fighting till death. Battle Royale. I cannot remove that comparison in this movie, well.. That was changed after I watched this film. Another expectation I was really want to see, is Jennifer Lawrence. Let's see if she can do well in commercial films. As I saw her in XMEN first class, although her role is not that wide as other main actors have, let's see if she can bring this film with her as a lead role.
After a whopping 2 and a half hours seating in a good SM cinema seat, especially after 3 weeks it was shown already... I felt good about the movie. A boundary between good and great, that's how I felt. Let's go first for the bad news. First problem is although the movie is already long, I hope they had more details about the story itself. And that's the problem I had for the first parts of the story.. It has a different beginning that I thought since this is a different world. I mean good introduction but after that, goes right away to the district 12. I hope they were able to show all districts in one long shot.. I mean to really understand the Panem world. I knew right away, with that great costume design and set up, it's like Brazil. Brazil has tons of great shots of the city itself in the future, what people or politics work. In this one, it has quite short of the introduction of the world that wants to show.. Although the books according to wiki, it really focuses in district 12. I can't help forgive this film from that.
Another one, hmmmm some confusion about the stars. Like Donald Sutherland's character, I mean is he really good or what, bad, crazy, I don't know. Even, Wes Bentley's character, I can say, he is damn confused. Nothing wrong about Wes, it's just about the character. Maybe both of them are the great effects of a totalitarian or dictative climate. No rules shall be bent.
I though of maybe they were written in that way. I don't know.. Geez two hours and a half is not enough for those guys. How about Woody Harrelson's character, not overqualified actor for him but he's bit short for that character. I mean I wanted more of him, like his past and what he really intends to do. But sadly, that only shown at the end. Damn..
Lastly, yes, I know it's PG13, but seriously, for that kind of violence or action, they should have gone all the way. The gore, killing styles, come on.. That's not young adult already.. They can just gone all the way, but since they want a faithful adaption of the book and yes, the theme is like that. Well, can't help as well.. Forgive them anyway. I mean, to capture the same audiences of the book, they need to do that anyway. But I don't think Battle Royale was written for that, or even Lord of the Flies.. When it comes to violence or action packed films, most of them do all the way. Some of the action flicks or thrillers fail these days because they don't do it all the way. I mean, not that violent like gore, more blood and sort of, but just the pace itself. Like Die Hard 4, it's PG13 but they managed to tone down the violence and cursing yet, I love it than Die Hard 2. So, for this film, it's just damn, more camera work.. Less blood, no gore but pure running, archery.. And push for more love. Well, do that in Battle Royale, it won't work.
Good things!!!! Yes, I can't compare this to Battle Royale because of one thing. The world they into living. Hunger Games, they were living in a world that this totally dictatorship, and each district has to do their own living according only what they can do, and nothing else.. The only supreme city above those districts is the Capitol. The Brazil like city. They do these games to avoid war and conflict, and yes, like what the President says, reduced hope. I can compare the great costumes or inventions to the film Brazil. Not the whole film but some bits of it. The eccentric costumes and how the city is set up and the looks of the characters in Capitol, the designers were inspired by the film Brazil. Except perhaps yes the whole film and plastic surgery.
Hmmmm you gotta give credit to the editing. I mean, I never mind it's taking too long, boring.. But due to the fast pace set up of the film.. I was never bored and kept asking for more until the end. Great editing..
I can give credit to the Director, I'm divided that he will not direct the sequels but for me, that's his decision.. I give credit to him not making the film boring, but I got interested as well. Making the world believable, the story kept it's pace and I know he wants to make it brutal but yes, give credit to pass those actions scenes in PG13. I also give credit for using more camera and visual work... I just hope for the next director who will give these books a different look, will do more than this director or how about, go all the way for the killing. I think the next director should watch The Dark Knight more in detail.. That's going to help him a lot.. Or how about the last Harry Potter movies.. Just deliver more action and a pinch of violence..
The feel, the depth of the story.. It was delivered by the actors! Of course, from Prim, her mum.. Hmmmm Gale, which I believe his role will be widened as the sequels will go through. Peeta, great performance by that actor, from sore loser to winner, lover.. Wow Stanley Tucci, gotta give credit to that dude, he went old to this one, he became very young just wearing that weird costumes. Toby Jones as well, although less time.. Damn how many times I saw Toby Jones last year? Hmmm Wes is great, with that beard and suit. Perfect except for that character.. Geez. He should blame Woody for getting killed. Speaking of Woody, damn.. Whether it's supporting from Zombieland, Messenger to this, he's great. For the lead roles he's great as well.. He's due for an award not for this role but maybe next time.
Great on how they develop their characters, except for Elizabeth Banks.. However, I liked because on how she acts and yes her costume. The only character I was quite confused, well I like Donald Sutherland, but Lenny Kravitz? That's Lenny Kravitz? I forgot he was that beautician.. Damn.. Maybe I could go for wayans perhaps, gay but funny dudes. How about Chris Tucker in fifth Element.. A serious beautician.. Maybe gays does not exist in that book.. Geez..
Jennifer Lawrence. Wow.. Of course, it's not only I have a big crush on her.. =) But also I knew she has great acting skills. She was able to show that she's Katniss. For that role, I mean I cannot forget to think that a lot of stars can also be Katniss, for example, Abigail Breslin, Emily Browning, Chloe Moretz and others. Jennifer just got the role over them.. Wow.. The maturity of the role, Katniss, Jennifer delivered it. She also displayed the vulnerability of her role and emotions as well, especially that scene when Rue died and her hallucinations as well. How about her bravery, like in Archery. I like that scene on how she will get sponsors. Nice shot!!!
Even she is not that sexy, although you can see her curves, she is sitll beautiful. That face which is a combination of bravery and elegance.. Is just there.. I hope she used her natural hair color.. But well, her red/black hair color is fit for her. Very versatile performance, coming from a very versitile actress. What else you can ask for? Such a lovely lady.. Looking forward for the sequels, and I hope, she'll put a very another good performance.
Well, for this film, it has big flaws but was covered up with big performance lead by Jennifer. Great film.. Can't film to see it in my home in the future. But, I love Haywire more, hmmmm Underworld: Awakening, and yes.. even Chronicle, the most underrated film of the year.
For now, I enjoyed Hunger Games! I'm hungry for more!!! I don't think I need to buy the books.

Damn how many times I saw Toby Jones last year? Hmmm Wes is great, with that beard and suit. Perfect except for that character.. Geez. He should blame Woody for getting killed. Speaking of Woody, damn.. Whether it's supporting from Zombieland, Messenger to this, he's great. For the lead roles he's great as well.. He's due for an award not for this role but maybe next time.
Great on how they develop their characters, except for Elizabeth Banks.. However, I liked because on how she acts and yes her costume. The only character I was quite confused, well I like Donald Sutherland, but Lenny Kravitz? That's Lenny Kravitz? I forgot he was that beautician.. Damn.. Maybe I could go for wayans perhaps, gay but funny dudes. How about Chris Tucker in fifth Element.. A serious beautician.. Maybe gays does not exist in that book.. Geez..
Jennifer Lawrence. Wow.. Of course, it's not only I have a big crush on her.. =) But also I knew she has great acting skills. She was able to show that she's Katniss. For that role, I mean I cannot forget to think that a lot of stars can also be Katniss, for example, Abigail Breslin, Emily Browning, Chloe Moretz and others. Jennifer just got the role over them.. Wow.. The maturity of the role, Katniss, Jennifer delivered it. She also displayed the vulnerability of her role and emotions as well, especially that scene when Rue died and her hallucinations as well. How about her bravery, like in Archery. I like that scene on how she will get sponsors. Nice shot!!!
Even she is not that sexy, although you can see her curves, she is sitll beautiful. That face which is a combination of bravery and elegance.. Is just there.. I hope she used her natural hair color.. But well, her red/black hair color is fit for her. Very versatile performance, coming from a very versitile actress. What else you can ask for? Such a lovely lady.. Looking forward for the sequels, and I hope, she'll put a very another good performance.
Well, for this film, it has big flaws but was covered up with big performance lead by Jennifer. Great film.. Can't film to see it in my home in the future. But, I love Haywire more, hmmmm Underworld: Awakening, and yes.. even Chronicle, the most underrated film of the year.
For now, I enjoyed Hunger Games! I'm hungry for more!!! I don't think I need to buy the books.

CB6
Damn Chef Igz, suggested one of the cursed foods I ate in my life. It's addictive, it's so addictive, kahit alam ko lahat ng pagkain sa chicboy, eto ang pinakaayaw ko orderin. Kasi sigurado ako, kahit anong mangyari except pag sobrang over busog na ko. Limang kanin ito.. Hay, kung nasa diet ako, isang ganito lang, sira na ang mga susunod na diet. You'll be cheating your diet forever!!! hehe
Of course, sa CRAP, we should be grateful kay Chef Igz kasi siya nagintro ng chic boy sa min. I can't forget those days na pupunta lang kami ng jupiter branch para lang kumain at umorder ng CB6. Bwisit. Worth the effort. =)
Although pag marami beses mo na siya nakain eh masasawa ka. Kaso may panahon na binabalikan ko to. Kahit ayoko, pero kailangan. Labo no? hehe
I just miss how siya na grilled, tapos yun taba, di mo iisipin taba kasi sa sobrang galing na luto. At yun balat, naku, since di naman makafford ng lechon lagi, lasang lechon na yun taba. In some branches, medyo di ganun ang luto. hehe Pero yun sarap at lasa.. Nandun nga. Sabi ni Chef She eh tanglad daw ang secret.. Hmmmmmm
Of course, di mawawala ang unli rice.. At ang unli Ice tea. Siyempre, para sulitin dapat mga dalawang extra rice pa tapos mga limang inom ng ice tea. Sulit na ang 124 mo. Yehey.. hehe Di pa kasama yun sukang atchara at yun lechon sauce na sa huli ko lang kinukuha. At ang bawang na di ko naman masyado nilalagyan sa kanin lalo na if I'm going for 5 or more. 8? Forget it. hehe
Paglipas ng panahon ay talagang iba na inoorder ko sa Chic-boy, pag budget, pwede na yun sinigang tapos lumpiang sariwa. Pag merienda, yun pancit at halo halo or kung gipit, turones. hehe At kung may kaya, hmmmm sisig or yun isa pang naku.. Bangus belly at ginisang kangkong.. Tapos yun dessert pa. Pag kasama CRAP, sa no choice na ko. Lahat ay sasabihin 3 sylables..

Special Chelo Kabab
A tomato, two rolls of special ground beef, grilled into specialty, turkish style and a big cup of rice topped with star margarine.. hehe You have Special Chelo Kabab from Mister Kaba!! Yehey.. Actually di naman eto lagi ang inoorder ko dun kasi napakamahal. Lagi kong inorder, lalo na pagbudget which is parang laging budget na ko. hehe It's keema with eggplant or Persian burger. Pero these past months, laging keema with eggplant at rice na lang and bread.
Well, if money isn't a problem, eto naman ang iorder ko lagi. Kasi naman, dito ako napakain na sobrang dami sa mister Kabab. CRAP says it, me? I don't really remember but what I knew, sobrang busog talaga ako. =)
Yun dalawang rolls ng beef eh, special nga, di siya typical na parang inihaw lang. Parang may inihalo sa kanya, I don't know what pero basta pag nilagyan mo na nung garlic sauce tapos nun kamatis, hay.. Mapaparami talaga ang rice!!! hehe Tapos kung may salad pa kayong kasama, naku aabot pa ng extra bread. Or homus will be great din. Di siya oily at yes, mas masarap siya sa Palm corned beef. hehe Kung pwede lang itake out, kaso yun mga luto ng Mister Kabab, parang di pwede itake out kasi lalabas yun sebo pag lumamig agad. Yikes..

Eh ngayon, 145 ata yun isang order, at di lang naman yun ang tumaas eh, lahat ng iorder mo sa mister kabab.. Tumaas. Kagaya nun keema with eggplant, parang 85 ata ngayon. Dati parang 70 lang yun.. 5 years ago. hehe Anyway, yeah it's because of inflation, the expensive signages outside, the big place and yes, even the plates. The plates are pristine white.
Well, as I they said, with this dish at mukhang posible lalo't kung di pa ko kumakain ng isang araw, eh nakakain ako ng 3 rice at dalawang bread! Wow.. Eh parang ngayon, dalawang rice, well, one rice from the order tapos yun extra rice na order eh ok na ko, kahit sobrang gutom na ko. That time, I remember, halos nandun di lang CRAP, kundi ang better halves. Yihee. hehe Eh ewan ko kung bakit napasobra ako ng kanin, basta naalala ko, nung kumakain na ko ng bread, panay tingin nila sa kin. Kahit yun katabi ko na gusto na umuwi. hehe
Better yet, one of the best dishes I ate and if I have the funds or extra, I won't think twice to order this anytime again. It's just for these times, in tight and austerity times..
Mukhang Keema with eggplant muna ako, kahit shake di na ko makaorder.. Mahal na talaga.. =(
