Review of Year 2014

Hmmm paano ba, yun buhay ko this year eh parang gulong. First months of the year, eh pataas na ang buhay, whether it’s career, studying o kahit sa DOTA.Hehe And some things siyempre. Tapos, later months, aba, bigla naman inalat! Nagkasakit, siyempre maraming araw ako wala then loss of money. Hahaha Abono and worst, nadelay on some things, even my blog was affected. So, it was going down and the wheel stops. It’s looks fine or not flat, and keeps on going.. For short, moving forward na lang. In the end, ayun may buenas pa. haha

Sad to hear that a lot of my friends or mga kakilala kung baga aba medyo alat. Most of them eh same year of the Pig or boar which lately, narinig ko na talagang may malas pala this year kami. I don’t really believe in superstitions, for fun siguro lalo kung nangyari na. But I don’t really rely on those. Anyway, sabi nila next year eh makakabawi daw ang mga pinanganak in the boar year. Hahaha Sana totoo nga..

This year, despite what happened to me o kahit sa ibang tao, I learned a lot. Like rekindle of a dream, or planning ahead, really ahead of time.. Then, studying again, although not in school pero yun passion kung baga mag aral eh nandun pa. Discovering myself more, although siyempre how sick I was and of course, some part of me that I understand and needs to change. It was the year that I felt lonely dahil siguro mag isa ko lang ginagawa yun mga endeavors, although may support pero when you’re alone doing it, siyempre I feel sad or somewhat alienated. But I need to swallow that and do achieve some things, valuable. There will be sacrifices and need to take it.

I thought this year, I could at last rest a lot. I did, pero due to recovery. Mahirap pa. haha Hay naku, gusto ko yun pahinga na wala inaalala. Hehe Siguro, I’ll place that as a priority next year. Lalo na ang health, naku monitor na din. Lifestyle change kung baga. Getting old!

Ah doon naman sa lighter side, siyempre nakalipat ng work and suprisingly record kasi pag alis ng stellar may work na. haha Pero dapat nagpahinga man lang ako. Hehe Anyway lesson learned.  Tapos ah some fun events at sa huli, weddings nila Doc and Igz. Congratulations! Pero infairness din, record sa SL, almost 2 months. Hehe Pahinga kahit papano at naaddict sa Japan.

Movie of the year, Raid 2! Hahaha Wala lang. Kung kailan ako maraming pwede panoorin, this year, nabawasan due well some events. Even get togethers eh mababa. Hay.. Ganun kabusy ang ungas.
As we draw to close of this year, eh if I’m going to compare this year than last year, at least this year was more interesting and progressive. Although may mga troubles gaya ng bagyo and this situation, I can’t help to feel more grateful and fortunate di ba? I mean I’m still alive and kicking and the people close to me as well. You can’t get it all naman di ba. So I can say, a better year now.

I want to thank Jesus for such amazing love and grace given to all of us. Healing din. Simple as that. =) To my family na laging nandiyan lalo na of course when I got sick. Of course helped each other lalo na nung bumagyo. Hehe To all my friends, thanks for being there and support. Sorry for the less gatherings this year. Hehe Sa CRAP, grabe nalampasan na ang kasal at all I can give is best wishes. =) Naks, susunod, magkakaanak na mga ungas. Hahaha Naku sana di sila magmana sa mga tatay nila. Hehe

To ACN, thanks for giving me another lease of life. Hahaha Can’t believe it but well, I’ll do my best to perform according to the goals. Partida, sobrang alat na ko. Malamang next year, di na ko alat coz I’m feel great na. =) Sa team, siyempre I’ll do my best to contribute, thanks for the help! Galing ng dalawang TL ko at ang makukulit na team mates. Hehe

Hmmm what else, well for now, put an end to this eventful year. I hope next year will be somewhat..

Hiatus Series: Watashi wa Nihon ga daisuki!

I don’t know kung tama ang google translate. Hahaha Of course, habang nakahiga ka sa kama, malamang, puro net lang magagawa ko. Hirap tumayo, di naman ako pwede labas ng labas at mag galaw lang ng galaw. To kill time, well I watched Jdramas! A lot!

Dahil sa I read more news sa Japan equally about dito sa Pinas eh nagstart to nung there is a show called Doctor X na it’s going to have 3rd season and mataas ang dating rating niya in Japan. So I’m curious, well, I watched straight ang season 1 and 2. Wow, parang mas naaddict ako dito kaysa sa usual US shows. Pero it’s not the first time I watched jdrama. Wayback teens, first jdramas napanood ko were Strawberry on a Shortcake and GTO first live action. Di na nasundan yun yet until now, eto na, sumobra naman. Hahaha 

I blame asianwiki.com for this and of course, Eiga Sai, anime and Japanese flicks. Actually, I thought after watching a lot of Japanese films, eh mas marami maganda sa Jdrama. I mean mga actors and actresses that you rarely see sa films yet sa jdrama eh nandun sila! Hehe Not only I focused more on watching Jdrama but also checked some sites on how to learn nihonggo effectively, interested checking their culture, prefectures, even kawaii stuff or weird products, even CM (tv commercials na nakakatuwa talaga), a bit of Japanese music and artist (but talaga dominate yun idol groups and boy bands) and some politics, crimes and other news. Hahaha Don’t forget siyempre yun culture nila and food!!! Oishi! Hehe

Of course, marami din sila faults or even failures in their society, cases in point, gender equality and corporate working environment. Isipin mo nalang, medyo lamang tayo dito sa Pinas sa mga parts nay un. =) It’s a long story and comparison bout it. 

So balik tayo sa Jdrama. Hahaha With it, it helps to at least visualize how a normal Japanese community works or even etiquette, relationships and emotions that they usually convey. Saka nakakatuwa sa Jdrama, the stories they create it can be sobrang galing lalo na sa detective/medical stories, grabe naiisip nila yun! Or stories na simple pero in the long run, yun characters nagdadala. Or may mga storya na sobrang weird or stupid pero naisip pa nilang gawin interesting. Hehe Halata marami ako napanood na, thanks to Dramago.com. hahaha Dagdag mo pa yun like I said, artist that potray sa mga jdrama. Can’t believe some of them, either surprisingly old even they don’t look one or very young pero they can able to act like a veteran. Mga ganun ba. Pero, marami din ako napanood na lason, I mean waste of time kahit all star casts or sobrang ganda ng bida pero ganun na lang. hahaha Mas dumami ang crush ko when I watched a lot of Jdrama kasi yun iba sa kanila, less films but more tv appearances or shows. Japanese entertainment is a bit complex. Sa agency model pa lang, madaya na pero sige pa din ang mga artista nila, more share ang agency sa kitaan kaysa sa talent. Grabe di ba? Oh tapos paano sumikat, iba pa usapan yun, I can’t believe that the more CM you do with jdramas will give you long mileage. Parang yun film sa kanila although important pero sa artista, not a priority. Weird right? I mean great film actors/actresses are not that famous in Japan, siguro overseas. Yun sikat sa Japan are the ones you see more in commercials, shows, tv shows, and kung sa films medyo behind sa acting. I can give names, but hahaba lang to. Baka may mga fans sila na magalit! Hahaha Isama mo pa yun weird and funny game shows and Gaki no Tsukai!

Anyway, enough of the entertainment side pero one thing narealize ko, I love Japanese Women. =) Lalo na yun looks is like deceptive! Looks 30 pero 40 plus or iba 40 plus pero 50 na! Paano nila nagagawa yun?! Di lang looks, ugali na din despite, ehem medyo submissive or indecisive as well. 

Ah, because of Japan, I love eating Ramen. Nagcrave na ko sa Ramen, even katsu! Di pa din love ang sushi, maki or sukiyaki. Yakitori pwede na din. Pero dahil sa news and jdrama and films, aba TokyoTokyo di na ko kumakain, gusto ko sa Japanese resto talaga. Ramen lang pwede na! haha Damn ramen, the sumptuous soup tapos yun noodles na di bland with fresh garnish and meat na di ko ilan oras nila pinalambot.. Grabe!! Kakarelax ha. Sa katsu, few restos lang dito yun nakakagawa ng masarap ng katsu, tonkatsu to be exact. 

Pag punta ko Japan, hahanap agad ako ng tonkatsu and Ramen!! Yosh!!!!

Another thing I love Japan, eh scenery. I mean, different prefectures eh may kanya kanyang dating. Mapatropical or winter or autumn, spring, at mga tao din, dagdag mo pa yun hotsprings! Geez, kaya kahit sobrang stress sa trabaho, tanggal agad sa hot spring at ramen eh. Hahaha Dagdag mo pa yun ibang festivals they have throughout the year and iba’t ibang food mayroon sila. And the mascots, despite weird or kakabwisit, cute naman. Hahaha 

It’s sad that of course, they face a lot of challenges, such as declining population, low birth rate, the overwork human workforce, Japanese companies that are falling behind, very punitive and ineffective justice system and a lot of other troubles you may experience eh I still love Japan. Nung nagbabasa ako ng mga blogs or reports coming from gaijins(foreigners living in Japan), they don’t mind pa nga yun discrimination, kasi iba yun Japan. Fast paced pero lahat maexperience mo ok, convenience kung baga talaga. Customer service, sale ng gamit, even food service at siyempre vendos and convenient stores na mas pinupuntahan kaysa sa supermarket. Hehe Saka siyempre despite of course di naman perfect ang tao, ok ang mga Hapon ha. Very service oriented and honest, and sometimes I know masama din pero kasama na talaga sa kanila, Pride. 

So, I have plans siyempre to learn nihonggo and I hope may progress after some months. Hahaha In the future, siyempre makapagipon na going to Japan! Lalo na mas madali na ata kumuha ng visa, tourist madali lang ata na. Lalo na promote sila ng Cool Japan! And the coming Tokyo Olympics. Una punta ko, siyempre Tokyo at pag kaya ng loob ko at pera, Shinjuku! Hahaha Alam na kung bakit… Pag tagal yun mga province nila, lalo na pag April! The festival I’m curious about. Hahaha

And of course, being friendly din pagpunta dun, mapractice ang nihonggo kung kaya.. Hay.. Sa sobrang love ko Japan, hmmm I know how to be citizen, siyempre thanks sa blogs and wiki at one of the countries na sobrang madali magpakasal. Weird yet effective. Hehe May naisip na nga ko pangalan pag Japanese na. hahaha

Di masama mangarap, but I smile when I’m thinking about it.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends

After that operation and almost 2 weeks of not going out. I've decided to set my return into this world by well, watching a flick. Great thing that this film still running because the sequel is so successful, everybody is anticipating this last film of the trilogy.

The film is quite long, more than 2 hours and first part was a bit, let's say the downer of the trilogy. Slow, more drama and talking, training of Kenshin to learn the ultimate technique although it's a mystery but it kinda dreary. I almost fell asleep at those hour. Add to Kaoru's sublime acting, things almost went worse.

Great thing, that ended at the second half when everyone seems pumped up fighting the army of Shishio. Then, it became bloody, fast pace action and most of all, simple ending. Geez.. Nothing more or less.

Good points of the film, first of all, as being consistent in the trilogy, the look of the film is almost the same in the anime. From how Shishio looks, some of the Juppon gatana characters looks the same in the anime, and the feel of the Meiji period of course. The looks of main characters and even the swords almost they got it. Second factor is the action sequences, which not really the best but way better than the first film. The second film has the best action scenes. The reason for this below notch grade of this final film is due to the first part of the film. If they only reduced the drama and dialogue and slow pace, then add some important action scenes then it has the best action scenes in the trilogy.

One example of kinda a let down action scene is Saito versus the Blind dude. I mean in the anime or manga, that's one of a fight but in the film, just a few seconds. That's bad.. How about the monk versus Sano, the first parts were good but how the fight finished? It's a repeat of what Sano did. Geez.. I hope they improved on those parts.

But definitely the fight of Kenshin versus the fast kid was great and final fight between Kenshin and Shishio was great plus bloody. I like that. It also shown how realistic or how possible is that we call the "very long name" technique. I almost forgot the great fight between Aoishi and Kenshin. Sorry.

Last good point, it's weird but it helped this film. Remember Matrix Revolutions which shown around next 6 months after Reloaded. I rushed to watch the film and despite it looks good, it's a downer and the hated movie of the Matrix trilogy. If that film shown just a month  or two after Reloaded, it will not be that bad. You see, the gap of the two films helped to appreciate the last part. That strategy helped this film. I mean, if you show this film 6 months to 1 year later, then that's the only thing you'll get, then it's a bad film. Maybe the anticipation help ease the well, the downside of this film. It's not really one of the worst I watched, I mean I'll watch this again than 

watching Lupin 3rd live action film again. It's just despite they kinda rush this one, well, they did some good at it.. But not the best. Great thing, it happened soon.

First failling point, besides that very slow first part.. It justified this factor, miscast actors/actress. Not Kenshin, Sano or even the right hand of Shishio. His Juppon gatana, has a lot of miscast, well they had a problem of casting a giant perhaps. Then there is a girl in that group which it did not even show some action or fight scene. One big miscast is Kenshin's sensei. I mean the dude can act as you see him in Galileo (jdrama) and Like Father, Like Son (touching film), but it's just he doesn't have the look of Seijuro. I mean I said before, I'll put the actor of Aoishi to become Seijiro because of the built and has a bit of the look. Of course, Emi Takei as Kaoru. She failed in this film and more so, I don't know, I'll still go with Tao Tsuchiya as Misao. Kaoru's role in the film, although of course she's a bit lost but with expression and action. Emi did was lost of expression and none action. It's just did not work here. I hope after the first film, they changed her. hehe Bad me..

Second point that it quite failed.. Well, some action scenes were either unnecessary or something lacking. I mean the fight of Kenshin and Sensei is quite repeatitive. Then of course the misses I discussed earlier. Geez, if that's the case great thing, this is only a trilogy. They rushed some of the scenes or action scenes and cut some scenes as well.

Third failling point, I've noticed that some changes they did for this film did not help. The changes they made in the second film helped and made sense. This film, it did not.. One example is the last fight was at that big boat. I mean I hope they made that final fight in a temple or a big yard, or how about a field with bamboo shoots or wide plain, like other good samurai flicks. It looked cramped and the background is not that helpful. Maybe they are in a tight schedule while making this film. But great thing, the fight is fantastic. Aoishi not part of Shishio's gang did not help as I like that part of the story unchanged.

Juppon gatana's group changed. Sensei should have fought or helped defending the village did not show which I am quite disappointed. A scene that how Sensei helped Kenshin, it was so short, and can't believe they cut a lot of it. It's a bloody scene as you see.. The boat thing helped at the second film, in this one, it did not help. I mean, I hoped at the second film, burn Kyoto, bring the boat with the army and the third film, almost all fighting until they end up in a temple. That's better, it changed a bit the original plot but made sense. This one.. Almost not made sense.

Last one, the simple ending. I mean I hope it's longer or nostalgic or even cuter.. But sorry, you don't get so much that of a simple ending. Geez, it's not even romantic. Oh I forgot, but not the film's fault, more talk than action flick like the anime/manga does. Very consistent. I hope they changed that tone.

Despite those negative points, I liked the film, better fit in the trilogy. My two hours not wasted and had fun because of the positive factors of the film.

Well, while I'm digging some flicks, I found Azumi! Hmmmmm and it has a sequel as well Azumi 2! The second part is more action than drama which it did not help. But why I brought up this one? Hmmm  Those 2 films I had fun watching and I can say, Kenshin only advantage over those films is popularity because Kenshin is a very popular anime/manga, a childhood hero and yeah everybody loved it.

If Kenshin is not a popular anime/manga and you don't know how they look really..  I'll choose Azumi coz it's bloody fun samurai flicks with a very beautiful heroine.

Good thing, the Legend Ends swiftly. 

Flashbacks: Stellar Chapter

After I received such fantastic email last Friday, mukhang relieved na ko. For now. Hahahaha I’ll explain that later. Anyway…

Time was fast this year, of course.. I won’t forget yun previous work ko which was very unexpected of it. Kinda liked it perhaps kung di lang talagang mababa ang pay. Hehe Anyhow, where do I start.

Around Oct 2012, I applied sa Stellar, hoping to pass sa Jetstar account, which is an Aussie Airline company, or even the big bucks sa IP Relay nila. Unfortunately, mahigpit sila from accent, diction and the likes, so they offered me a back office work na lang at this kinda low rate. I told to myself, since that time eh kailangan ko cash temporarily, I accepted the work. One of the lowest rates since ePLDT days. Hahaha It was low that I did not receive an allowance sa work na to.

I planned na nga pag palpak to, hahanap na agad ako ng iba. It turns out na I stayed for one and a half years, quite fast ha at it was a fun work. Interesting too, lalo na yun mga last months that seems time really flies fast at maraming nagagawa after.

I started sa Midshift handling simple billing then up to 5am shift handling well, first time in my vocabulary, middle of house. Or better yet, escalation request. Kung baga, kahit simple or complicated yun request, kailangan tapusin asap. Mabuti na lang may account reconciliation na kasama. Hehe Never done that before.

A first handling an utility account, what’s more shocking eh kung gaano kaluwag at regulate sa Australia ang power industry. Sana talaga ganito sa atin. Hehe San ka naman makakakita na 3 months ang billing ng kuryente at may discount pa pag maaga nag bayad. Pumapatak as an average eh 7k-8k ang charge nila per quarter. Mas mura kaysa dito na umaabot kami at least 8500 in 3 months. Pwede pa madelay yun bayad na hanggang 6 months, lalo na pag di nakuha yun billing. Grabe at may solar offer pa sila na minsan eh yun company pa nagbabayad sa customer para sa excess credits. Gagawin carry over or kung buenas, refund! Grabe. Hahaha Well, di gaya dito na di nagoffer ang Meralco ng solar feed in, or kahit off peak rates, what more sa delay payment ng bills. Isang linggo lang ang delay dito, putol na tayo. Nakakatawa nga, pumunta yun CEO ng client dito to offer the same gaya sa Australia kaso mukhang mahihirapan niya gawin dito. Pero sana in our lifetime, eh ganun din dito ang billing ng kuryente, tubig or well gas. Nakalimutan ko yun gas ha. Mas mura din di hawak sa quarter billing.

Benefits, hmmm masaya kasi VL is not cancelled, SL eh madali lang kaso may bonus kasi pag di nagamit ang SL eh convert lahat! Ginawa ko LOA, pero di naman kadami. Kaya SL conversion ko sulit! Hahaha Madali lang magrequest ng documents pero may allowance ka dapat at least 1 week which is ok lang.

Gamit na gamit ko yun sleeping room. Hehe Sarap matulog. Saka Eastwood lang so dalawang sakay bahay na ko, basta maaga na umalis. Maraming kainan from mezzanine, to brown paper bag at kalburger. Hehe At yun masarap na manok na may gravy! Intrepid pala yun place tapos may ministop pa. Kung mayaman, Tropical Hut or Mcdo. Hehe

Dito ko din naranasan na pag holiday sa Aussie eh holiday din dito, although di lahat, pero pag major holidays, diyos ko, sure na! hehe Yun medical benefit gamit na gamit din, dalawang salamin kaya nakakuha ako libre. Hehe Reimburse kung baga. Saka vitamins pa! Kaya yun mercury at watsons, ayun.. hehe Resibo lang kailangan.. Medicard ang gamit namin, although papalit palit every year which is kinda weird, eh sulit din.

Despite walang allowance, the best part eh over profit, so kung sobra kita ng LOB namin which nangyayari lagi at maganda stats, expect mo na jackpot sa end of month. Yun nga lang taxable. Hahaha The management wise, hmmmm yun open book policy nila, it is great. I mean I’ve never seen or very rare for a company that every process or money we make is monitored every week. What’s more eh sinasabi sa team meetings or kahit one on one na ganito lagay ng LOB, saka malalaman na kung may makukuha ka sa Over profit incentive. I worked with wonderful people. Kakatawa nga yun batch namin, despite sa mga trouble sa training at ehem pagdating sa floor eh magulo pa sa mga TL, ayos naman pagtagal. I’m blessed na napunta naman ako sa magagaling na TL. At marami din skils na tinuro kasi pag maraming split or queue, kulang na lang pati transfers at disconnection, kami na. hehe

Kakatuwa, although I failed, I had a chance to apply for QA kaso lintek na araw na yun, OT, walang kain. Test agad at mahirap ang excel exam! Bwisit.. Ubos oras kaya yun.. Di pinalad. Pero ok lang. Sarap lang ng feeling na irefer ka ng TL mo na magapply at motivate kang try mo. First time yun. What’s more, never join sa clubs before pero dito lang ako nainvite na magayos ng blog kaso di natuloy. Hahaha Sayang, paalis kasi ako nun, di naman umandar yun newsletter nila. Sayang. Maganda pa naman sa resume or skills ko yun. Hahaha

I had worked with fun team mates, although may mga nakakaasar pero di naman bad trip. I get along naman sa mga ganun. Nakakatawa everyday at kasama mo pa sa kalokohan minsan ang TL. haha First time, I’ve worked, ehem… Sobrang gandang TL! Hahahaha Kakainspire pumasok. Hehe Pag hirap ako sa tasks, makita nga si TL kung nasan, biglang alam ko na gagawin. Hehe Anyway, I miss yun events lalo na sa company events na as usual, Stellar is an Aussie company so drinking is required but I did not drink naman. It was very fun but abrupt.. =(

Of course, it’s not perfect. First one was despite mga efforts namin, the reason kaya naman di naman mareach yun maximize profit eh mas maraming fault yun client. I mean, despite numerous reminders and even memo to them, aba pasaway, wala lang. At worse, mabagal pa yun ibang party, gaya na lang ng distributors! Reads na lang di pa mabigay na actual! Bwisit! Hehe Alam na mga agents to kung ano pinagsasabi ko. Hehe Pahamak ang client, lalo na yun mga salesman na akalain mo, door to door pa pala. Gulatan kung baga sa customer na may bill sila. Hehe Basta, sana in the future, umayos sila. Sabihin na namin may fault kami, pero di naman dadami yun kung di dahil sa kapalpakan nila. Another thing, thank Lord na dati nung nasa Dell Libis pa ko, I dreamed or hope na magwork sa back office na umaga. Nabigay nga! Hahaha Actually Eastwood dati eh less traffic, around 5 years ago. Kung traffic, eh Friday to Saturday kasi gimikan. Pero these past years, dagdag mo pa ang higpit ng sakayan ng jeep, grabe ang trapik! Walang pinipili oras. Mapa punta ng Cubao or puntang C5/Pasig, diyos miyo.. Napaka tindi ng trapik! Lalo na pag holidays, araw araw na ang chaotic trapik. Parang Makati na nga siya, kaya mabuti ang sked ko di rush hour. Kung rush hour, naku po, mahirap na magwork. Lalo na ngayon, may stop light na sa Citibank. Patrapik lalo. Kaya di ako nagigimik diyan, sa Cubao na lang or North ave. hehe

Lastly, ah yun lang. Great benefits, yun rate lang talaga, mababa. I can’t believe I survived that long with that one simple rate. Hahaha Although I researched sa ibang BPO na outsource third party eh yun na daw highest. Hmmmmm so no choice kung hindi mag inhouse na pagkatapos. I tried pero wala eh, 2 years experience. Cut short. Pero ok lang… hehehe Minsan may buenas pa. Sana kung umabot or kung plus 2-3k lang, aba tatagal pa ko dito. Sayang yun ibang benefits and conversions. Hehe Saka eto lang pala pag mga first month mo parang contruction worker kung baga, very low rate, mukhang abono pa at every Friday pa sweldo. Talagang cost cutting sa training ha. Walang night diff or holiday. Hehe Mautak! I also survived that.

Well, I worked with a great company despite some setbacks but I enjoyed working. Definitely, as I approach the end of this searching for a stable career, eh malaki natulong nila even in that short time improving my analytical and other account reconciliation skills. Nakakatawa, dahil nandun ang ANZ eh may mga nakikita pa ko mga taga 24/7. haha

After I left them, there was a sudden shocking turn of events!

Lifted High!

Despite it was for four days.. I didn't really go for four days. I only went for one and half days. Hehe As much I want to look forward for a long spiritual rest or just a break away from all this stress.. Unfortunately, I can only enjoy such rest in these short 4 days. So I chose to really rest for 2 days then get myself away from work and just watching jdrama and almost doing nothing. I can say I had really a rollercoaster year.. I tried my best to come early for Saturday but I really need to maximize my rest so I was late for this day. I just looked forward what will I learn in these last days. 

I got my ticket and a lot of pamphlets, which some of them might be useful in the future. Very useful. The first talk I listened to was about shifting from employment to business! I chose that coz hmmm the one I liked was taken or already full. This talk was kinda my second choice. 

While waiting for this talk to start, I was thinking what happened almost 3 years ago. Working and running business at the same time.. I was smiling every time I think bout it, the fact that until now.. I don't really know how I pulled it off. Hahaha Anyway the speaker currently has a consulting HR firm. Her name is Trixie Silerio

Then what striking about her credentials was she got a MBA degree at AIM. Wow. I would always dream when can I study there. Haha She is also a social entrepreneur. Those two latter words are kinda famous these days. 

Anyway, her sharing and story was simply motivating. I mean she discovered her passion since kid then growing up. But she worked in the corporate world for a while then ultimately, putting up her own firm. The points that struck me most, first was when going to business, you will need a lot time to think about it. In my case before, it took me a month to decide and go with my brother set up the cellphone shop. Second point was the difference of passion, hobby and business. The point made realize that most of abilities or skills are either hobby or business. Hehe All I need in the future is to choose which I can use to earn big. Last point was to prepare for the endeavor. I mean at my part, even i did well at my previous biz but i didn't prepare enough when the harsh times are approaching. Or even before I put my biz, I didn't save at least to have a working capital or reduced my loan at start which might have a big effect on how I earn. I should really do this in the future if I'll do this again. 

Overall, the talk went good and inspired to go back doing biz in the future. 

Last talk of the day was most motivating, which another surprisingly choice. The one I like was out so I scanned for another talk and this one was the one I need. Work life balance! 

Before I chose this talk, the speaker was kinda familiar especially with his credentials. I saw him saw him somewhere. Hehe Mr. James Michael Rafferty showed up and I thought he is a runningback in american football due to his big built. 

So he started talking and with few intro he started right away into his topic. He gave ten ways or tips to achieve work life balance. Sorry I didn't get the ten ways. Hahaha However, three ways that I got a great idea to really achieve work life balance! 

First way is to give importance or put family first. Very important point.. Give importance the family's advices, events and of course, relationship. Despite my ah hmmm I admit that I do have shortcomings to this aspect especially at the past.. Pressure is mounting as I grow old with family matters.. So, I really need to focus for the future. Darn, easier said and done. 

Second way, define my 5 roles. Wow, when he said that, there was a lightning bolt struck to my mind! Through previous years, as I need to try to do everything, which indeed made me stressed out. In my free time, I need to define my 5 roles. Strictly 5, not six. Hehe nothing more or less. Clear 5 roles! 

Last one, well I had a lot of ways want to emphasize, but this one way kinda fun and crazy. List 100 things to do before you die. Hehe The logic for this one is you need to do for living this short life to the fullest. I will do this! Bwahahaha

Darn, the only thing I didn't like at this talk was the short time allotted for the speaker. As much he wants to expound every way, he is restrained. I hope he was given more time to talk about it. His topic is very essential to not only the usual employee but everybody who has work and life or even leaders, need to know this important balance in life. But one admiration that really strikes me is his trait of being helpful. I mean, how he helped the person who had a heart attack, despite he might in jail in Japan for doing first aid. He didn't mind that at all. Also how he helps our national track and field team, using his own time and money! Unbelievable guy.. We lucky to have him in our country!

Saturday is done.. Well I was able to go home fast and sleep early. 

It is weird as Sunday came. Grand feast is at 2pm at MOA. I arrived before 2pm yet I can't believe that crowd outside lining up was jampacked and worried that we might not fit inside. I heard rumors that others from the morning session still inside. 

It's already 10 minutes after 2pm, well I'm quite anxious bout, how the mass is on going and the program as well. Geez. Patience is a virtue. 

Great thing we are moving after 20 mins and at last, thank God.. I am in and it's a great thing, premium seats! Great thing, liturgy of the word just started. Hehe Thank God I'm not late. 

The mass was grand, and of course, solemn.. It was finished after like an hour and a half. Then one singing number which included a heartwarming sharing bout survival from a strong storm. 

Worship started and lead by Bro. Bo then first talk done by Bro. Arun about us being Uncontainable. It's a sense of being you are not confined in your faults, problems, sins or anything that hinders love to Jesus. It's an inspirational talk with a lot of fun and motivation. Although not really great, but just enough to be inspired. 

Last talk came of course from Bro. Bo. A passionate talk about lifting high with Jesus. Emphasizing bout the importance of faith, especially being very high with being close to Jesus, especially the times you need to lay down your weakness and ask him to heal you. Then follow him as well at end, of course, don't forget to spread that love to anybody. To close the talk, damn.. I don't know how to make a paper plane! Hahaha writing the dreams in this plane and thrown upward for reaching dreams. 

And that's was it. Hehe Actually, I can't say that it was great for this year's conference nor I didn't like it. I love it but due to the limited time I've attended to it, I can't just say anything bad to it. I just didn't maximize the four days of attending the conference. My bad of course. But the rest I got plus the conference itself, its worth it. Just a few points to improve on. 

I hope they'll put more business or career classes in the Thursday and Friday schedules to entice more attendees. Another thing, for the Sunday grand feast, I hope attendees has a choice to go at the morning asked especially like me, I'm a morning person. Hehe or better yet, get a bigger venue! 

I hope next year as I bit by bit fixing everything bout me, I'll attend full four days. Hehe If allows me, and if possible might serve perhaps. I just looking forward for next year's conference which has always something in store for me, whether spiritual, educational, motivation or decision as well.. Can't wait for next year's edition. 

For now, well, I'm thinking how to achieve that work life balance, now! Hahaha Definitely, how to be lifted high by Jesus. =)

Hiatus: Operating/Recovering

Hmmmm eating to much is damn bad. Hehe At the operating room eh panay tanong sa kin ng doc kung ano procedure ginagawa sa kin, sabi ko is hermodectomy whatever and I saw the scene na parang nanganganak ako na normal. Nakataas yun dalawang paa ko, parang palaka. I fainted after that and some moments later.. Ayun, groggy and nurses keep asking questions about my condition and what do I feel. I still feel groggy at gusto ko matulog kaso sobrang lamig sa recovery room.

I was brought back sa room while Mum is sleeping. All I can do, is just stay still and rest. Wow.. Parang matagal ako magpapahinga ng ganito. Hehe Well, after doctor’s rounds at siyempre kinausap kami ng doc, nabawasan na din yun dosage ng gamot. I mean less pain killers, na kala ko wala lang. Tolerable pain.. Aba after one day, grabe yun sakit nararamdaman ko na, ayun, ask ng pain killer deretcho sa swero. Lintek ang hapdi ng kamay ko at yun sakit kakaiba talaga. Of course, as advised ng doc.. Pag dumi eh may lalabas daw na parang gauze something, geez, it happened at yun na start na pesteng more pain than ever I did not imagined.

We went home at that rainy Thursday afternoon, my legs are kinda stiff at ako naman as much I want to do a lot right away, mukhang malabo.. I’m so weak. Damn weak.. Never been this weak before. Now, siyempre ingat sa kakainin, more fluids and yes, more bed uncomfortable rest. My arse is kinda flaming in pain which I need to endure. A lot actually.. Kala ko pahinga na to kaso di lahat pahinga. Tama nga sabi ng doctor, yun buttocks pala eh napakaraming ugat kaya pag inopera eh sobrang sakit daw kasi sa daming gagalawin.

First discharge of bowel, it’s so unforgettable that the pain still running in my head.. I still remember yun sobrang hapdi and grabe, nakaupo na lang ako sa balde na may hot water. Ganun kasakit and bloody! Grabe talaga.. Nakakaiyak na sakit! Hay, sana mabusted na lang ako kaysa yun ganito. Hahaha

Noong nangyayari yun, pinagdadasal ko na lang kay Lord na temporary lang ito, at magiging ok na din lahat.

Well, that pain runs on for almost a month. First time na di ako lumabas ng bahay for a month! Lakad lang ako within the house and watch  a lot, not my films kasi di ako makapunta sa computer ko na nasa baba pa. Minsan I feared na dumumi kasi sa sobrang sakit… Grabe talaga, unforgettable!!!!

With this condition, eh kailangan may diet na ko, sobrang less meat and more veggies and fish para madali lang tunawan ang pagkain. I also need to monitor my bowel movement para di maiwasan ang bleeding. =( More fluids and most of all, at mukhang di ko pa nagagawa lagi, exercise. Hehe

Noong nasabi ni Doc na ok na ko from my operation, aba pagkakataon ko na manood ng sine. Mabuti na lang may araw pa ko pwede magpahinga ng normal, kahit mga 3-4 days pa. hehe I watched Kenshin at the Equalizer back to back. Sulit naman yun dalawa. Sa computer ko, first ko ginawa is to fix yun place ng computer at mabuti nailipat ko na sa taas, back in my sanctuary.

Tools of my recovery were water, my bed, food na di naman meaty, my phone and wifi para mag internet. Most of all, love! Love from family and support. Simple greetings from friends… Despite na di ako makagalaw, mabuti may time ako para magisip at well, pray na din kasi I don’t know kung maregular pa ko at this sorry state. I mean matagal na ko absent at sa first months ko pa nangyari. First time nangyari ito, even way back sa first work ko na di naman ako ganito katagal umabsent.

Abono pa ko kasi 10 lang pala SL, 15 more SL ang nagamit ko. Oh God. Hahaha

Dagdag mo pa ang gastos sa gamot, numerous follow up with the doctor and yes, other transpo expenses. Ubos talaga ako. Grabe. Hahaha

There, one of the reasons why I haven’t really written for months. Gusto ko agad magsulat even after operation but I felt, I push myself early, parang di pa ko ready by my whole self.

That took time to really get myself back on my feet.

A long hiatus.
