End of 4th quarter

Last blog of the year, last updates. hehe

October - Of course, after some 3 weeks of job and soul searching. I found a job, at a very low rate yet, less stress. Less stress after ng training. hehe Nothing drastic naman nangyari that month, hmmm ah yes, that ainol tablet, such a blessing at that time. =) Ah yeah, sunod sunod na birthday at the end of that month, I made Joanne quite angry kasi mali yun alala ko sa mga birthday ng friends. Bakit kasi magkakadikit di ba? hehe

November - Remember November.. Hmmm I thought I won't make it to pass that thrilling training but well, I'm here and living it. hehe Kahit ganito ang sked ko pwede na pagtiyagaan, at sana by next year once that other LOB transfers eh kami naman ang maraming seats, meaning, we can have a normal sked. It was thrilling kasi aba lahat pumasa ng language training kasi naman non voice so dapat ok lang. Pero nung product training aba, may mga inalat. Grabe that was close, I'm 2nd sa training batch. hehe Thank God for this and yeah, I can build something with this job. Kahit maliit. Ah I was able to start watching the vast collection of movie I have, weekly filmfest. Well, like I said, some good things meant not to last. Crap. Ah yeah, getting to know somebody new as well.

December - A month to be jolly and merry. For me, at the middle of it, alat na. Punishing fire broke down and ayun I need to wait for a month to get it fixed. Damn, next time, ipon na lang for a better brand. Branding and yeah, better after sales service. A lot of eating this month and reunions as well. Every week ata reunion of friends. hehe Yun xmas party ng company although walang big name bands pero it's worth the time. Great food, a lot of beer and nice place kahit medyo malayo lakarin. hehe Sayang, di man lang ako buenas sa raffle. Natapos na din ang clearance from teletech, very accomadating despite well, few HR personnel. Not bad. But of course, it's not really a worthwhile experience there. 

That caps off the year, even I'm quite unlucky with finances but lucky to have rest, some span of time of thinking and planning. Meeting new people, some are interesting.. hehe Knowing I have him, family, and friends to rely. 

I'm still grateful for this year and well, leave 2012 and looking forward to 2013. 

A better year indeed!

1000th post and beyond!!!!

May silbi din pala ang multiply kahit papano. hehe I want to thank for it para alam ko na 1000 posts ko na sa blog na ito. I want to thank Him of course for this wonderful opportunity to do something productive, lalo na yun infant years. hehe

I can't believe I'll reach this milestone, even with less audience or well support. But that's fine, I'll continue this. =)

Ah even I'll be decreasing my posts next year, may reason naman.. Nauubusan na ko kasi na isusulat. hahaha Saka I'm planning to have another one especially for movies but medyo mahaba pang process yun. Yun laman madali pero yun design, it's hard. Eh yun akin nga, di pa maganda yun ayos. hehe 

I want to thank you for reading or wasting time for dropping by sa blog ko. Kahit may mali sa spelling, grammar or anything to it. Sorry! But maayos yan once I read through some SVA, prepositions or samples na din para kahit papano maimprove. I'll do my best to proofread my stuff. =)

For those na nagcomment, kahit panget o maganda thanks pa din. For those bots na dumadaan sa chat box ko, thanks pa din. hehe Or yun mga nagsesend ng email for scamming, thanks pa din para alam ko kung talagang may mileage ang blog. 

I don't know yet if I'll reach 2000 or even 1500, it depends of course sa buhay or what will happen to this blog but I promise to do better, have more topics or just writing what I feel most. Just being crazy or lazy sometimes. hehe 

Of course, time will come, no more blogspot.com at my address. =)

Wait and see!

Champion's Arise!

Last year at KCON, they announced that the theme for the next one is Champion's Arise.. After some months and yes, muntikan pa ko di makabili ng ticket, even with the shorter array of talks eh at the end, it's better!

Better than last year I can say. At kakagulat, ang daming pumunta, kala ko may isa o dalawang stream na di mapupuno, anak ng tinapa, lahat jam packed! Oh God. hehe Yeah as I still remember na sabi ko di na singles yun stream ko for this year eh di ko nasunod. May reason naman pala si God dun. =)

First of all, I want to thank Dad for this gift. hehe Despite the situation, you've still helped me. It's a big help for me. =) You're the best, Dad!

I chose Catholic Faith as my first stream. By the way, this year the format was choose 2 streams in two days, from a variety of topics you want to learn or inspire. From worship to business streams in first day. Then from the streams last year like singles to leadership. Pinili ko yun Catholic Faith kasi yun ibang stream na gusto ko magkasabay pa in one day, like business and career. Business I don't really need it now lalo na may experience na ko for that. Pero siyempre mas maganda kung yun ang kinuha ko for more ideas. hehe 

Career was another bright choice, however, nakita ko yun speakers and ano topic... I knew it. Let's I was able to avoid the inevitable. hehe Better yet I chose faith since ang builder eh si Bro. Arun then the speakers might help me to understand more sa Catholic Faith.

First speaker sa stream was seasoned, veteran actress Pinky Marquez talking about her experiences about her faith, lalo na before.. Kahit di detailed eh it's a heartwarming experience about yun doubts niya about our faith kasi napangasawa niya before not in the same faith.. Tapos how she came back to catholic faith because of her role of Mama Mary in theater for the Magnificat, then shown us her God given talent.. Singing! I was thinking that time, damn Karel has a great Mom, that's why she looks good. hehe Layo no.


Next speaker was the feast builder in SM Manila, mentor ng Rad Men, Bro. Obet. I admit, I am not a fan of his... Pero, after his talk about the basics of catholic faith through the acronym issues, eh fan niya na ko. hehe Simple yet fun way of answering some basic truths of our faith with the help of vatican doctrines. =)

Sumunod eh eto na.. Alam na, si Father Rap Rap.. =) One of the priests that made my recollection memorable sa the feast Alabang. hehe Honestly, I forgot what he discussed in detail kasi naman sa great fun and lines niya, but I remember eh he talked about we as catholics should serve according to our purpose. Definitely, iba yun talk niya here than sa recollection. How important is our faith to search that purpose. Yun ating faith eh one of our core in our life that needs to be fed of God's eternal word. Naks.. Quite deep pero grabe ang tawa ko lalo na sa huli through his adventures of his service.

Lastly, eh another priest that really surprises me kasi sa looks niya kala mo very serious or yun intimidating.. Hindi pala. =) What a high time for the year of faith to be discussed in detail by Father Mario, he discussed why us a country who has 80% of its population is into catholic faith, still eh we're among the poorest and worse, corrupt countries. I agree with his explaination, we have broken values. Like palakasan, crab mentality and you know yun mga values na I know it's there pero most of us just live through it. Then sama pa yun hyper faith.. Relying so much sa faith that we forget that our actions are equally important to our faith. The year of faith wants us to revisit our faith tying it through prayer and service to him. =) Love God, Jesus, and be blessed by the Holy spirit. 

I can say despite the lack of discussing in detail about the catholic faith or kahit sana may Q and A portion for us, ok yun stream. You might ask parang theo ba hanap mo style? Yeah, but not that sleepy type discussions. hehe Ok na siya because the way delivered was simpler and fun, effective. Even the time is short for each speaker eh sulit naman, di naman sila kinulang. Or sumobra.

I've chosen singles stream kasi, hmmmm I took leadership last year at ok na sa kin yun. Yun ibang stream doesn't interest me. Lalo naman yun single blessedness at youth. hehe Eh kung binebuenas ka nga naman.. 

First speaker is from business works, it's Ardy, or damn I forgot his name! But really a great speaker. I wrote some notes nga eh. hehe That business works company, worth it pagnapaseminar kayo sa kanila, not only authorized John Maxwell facilitator but damn, has inspiring speakers. Francis Kong, Anthony Pangilinan, then this dude, sulit! haha

He talked about how achieve success in life through decisions, actions and being consistent and most importantly, character! 10% of success can be attributted sa skills, but the remaining 90%, comes from character. 
Well, he inspired me to really focus in my strengths, working in my weaknesses and yes, achieve great goals bit by bit. =) Itatago ko yun simple notes sa powerful talk niya.

Next one was about Spirituality at work. Title pa lang parang boring na, but once Mike Joseph entered, it's a great talk about how faith you have will inspire you not only to do work, pero siyempre direction in life. He has some pointers, pero focuses more sa obstacles in achieving spirituality. He gave these five pointers, Sin, temptation, impatience, passivity and over spiritualization. Naks. I thought, well, parang napagdaanan ko lahat ito ha. Pero binigyan niya ng ways how to go through at tama naman siya for each pointer, like discernment, seek wisdom and add skills, prayer at guidance din. This talk kahit slow eh, enriching at fun naman. I am alert all the time kahit medyo slow or dragging yun topic.

Last one was the highlight of the stream. Two speakers eh sulit na sa kin, I can go home. haha This one, great thing I didn't miss it. Joseph and Rica, a loving couple. By the way, before that, kakakilig yun sharing ng isang bro kasi from a state of nothing, I mean nawala sa kanya lahat, eh biglang naging in place lahat because of his faith and service to the Lord. A happy ending din kasi after kasal niya with his fiance, Barcelona lang naman ang honeymoon. hehe Kaya yun ang kulit ni Rica kay Joseph. hehe

Joseph Bonifacio, a pastor sa isang church, more sa youth and dedicated servant, married Rica Peralejo which as we all know, lalo na sa guys, from teeny booper to hot screen star, to a dedicated wife and serving the Lord. You'll ask yourself, how they become married? I saw Rica leaving yun morning show sa dos, reasons eh she's getting married and sorts tapos, may iba sa kanya.. Parang she became conservative and happy despite not making films or shows. I wonder, sino kaya pinakasal nito at naging ganun siya. =)

Just there, ayun, she's talking about how relationship works and it should work under one God. Joseph on the other hand, charismatic but well, not that stunning. Yet very engaged on what he preach and making it easy na lahat eh makasunod sa kaniya. Natawa yun share niya about one ball na pinuntahan nila, ayaw niya talaga sa lights ng showbiz, kaya yun, balikat lang nakita sa pic ni Rica. hehe

They discussed together on how malaman or how to find the right mate. Simply but a 
lot of hard work at discernment. First they talked about siyempre, ikaw, dapat malaman mo kung sino ka and even your weaknesses na papaalam mo sa partner mo. Committed to make changes as long na nasa tama hindi yun pinilit ka or you don't sacifice that much. Knowing yourself helps siyempre finding who is right for you, yun sa tingin mo sino makakasundo mo.

Second is knowing your partner more. Siyempre normal sa inyo may common interest or views in life, pero it's not enough to know your partner better. Important is you need to know more of your partner and nourish para magtagal kayo. if you know each other up to the most inner secrets eh you will trust an understand better and love unconditionally in the future. 

Lastly, put God in the center of your relationship. In one God above your relationship, at una siya tapos pangalawa ang iyong mahal eh malaking tulong yun. Like all other relationship or example na lang kay Rica and Joseph, they serve together, they pray and go to church together kaya yun trust nila sa isa't isa become stronger kasi you won't do things that will look bad in the eyes of God and even your longtime partner. 

Siguro looking back in my past relationship, eto yun sobrang kulang sa relationship namin. I mean I've no problems knowing her or kilala niya ako. We even felt kami na talaga, kaso iba lang talaga faith namin. I can't decide which to go.. Praying and serving together.

After the talk, of course, nawala yun stigma ko kay Rica. Naks, we are happy for her and now, she's living the life what God wants for her. I hope she can comeback sa showbiz. she's still stunning. hehe More beautiful than I watched her in a film titled Balahibong Pusa. hahaha for Joseph, keep up the good work and continue serving to God an proclaiming his word in a more easy way. Damn you're lucky. =)

KCon this year indeed became better and I hope they will continue to do this, inspire and enligthen more people through fun and motivating talks from people who succeeded through God's magnificent grace.

It made a champion arise!

Before and After Arise..

I don't know why I became late papuntang MOA. hehe Ah kasi naman late naman din ako nagising, 2am kasi ang uwi. Anyhow, pagdating ko eh great thing sa baba ako, yun mismong court ng MOA then start na ng worship! Oh Lord, late na nga ako. =) Ang naglead ng worship was the Emmanuel Worship, singing their own songs sa worship. Even I have no idea about their songs, but its uplifting and engaging to praise God. I thought matagal siya but well, I keep on sa worship, and prayer.. I hope next year, they'll bring a lot of those artists, kung kaya famous ones. hehe

After that great worship, siyempre some announcements and a show started na. A talk from Roselle Ambubuyog, the blind lady who is a summa cum laude graduate in ADMU with a degree in BS Math. She talked about her life how she became blind and rose to the challenge to be like a normal student/professional despite her disability. Kakainspire yun talk niya kasi yun pagiging blind niya di pala inborn, she became blind because of allergy sa gamot or some medical condition that affected her eyesight and never see again. 

Kung ako nabully nung HS, siya, mas mahirap, she almost cannot go to school kasi few schools lang ang nagaaccept ng kagaya niya. Until now, totoo yun, at di ata dumami. Yun challenges niya going to school and even yun mga teachers niya dati, grabe ni ayaw siya iguide or bigyan even normal treatment kasi nasa public. Kakatuwa yun transition niya from HS to college which is ADMU. Akala ko yun ADMU has facilities already before for the blind and disabled. Well, she's smart and very much faithful. Faithful in the sense that despite her blindness eh she can still serve being a lector, ang hirap nun ha.. Braille na Bible yun kailangan niya lagi. Tapos she's advocating yun sa blind, opportunity, giving speeches and yun blessed naman siya sa work, working for a company who is making software for the blind. 

To end my thought about her talk, it taught that me that despite the odds or disability, surrender to him and take pride of overcoming such difficulty without any doubts kasi you've lifted up to him. Ah, kakatawa yun sinabi niya about selecting her for top honors, one student who was interviewed answered the question, instead answering why you should be the top of the class.. The student asked and answered, why Roselle should be the top of the class, then answered she inspired us and we looked ourselves despite not blind, we did not achieve like she does then so forth. That made here proud. =)

Ah, next is a short talk with Bro. Bo about the course of KCON in the next two days then there, short worship and prayer. 

After that, ayun may nakita ako kasama, si Sis Bev. At we're running crazy sa buong MOA looking for food. Malas lang, wala! Sobrang jampacked and tight ang lahat ng kainan.. We ended up sa Spam Jam, eating some sandwiches. hehe Sabi ko sa kanya, bawi na lang paguwi. Tapos there, the catholic faith stream, siya ay nakalimutan ko kung san. hehe

Sunday, the end of liturgical calendar ng catholic church, meaning Christ the King. Then just like last year, end na din and highlight ng kcon. Singles talk muna then after that very fun filled and motivating talks... Di na ko kumain ng lunch, I went straight sa baba ng SMX, and great thing sa premium seats, malapit sa stage! 

After some hourse of waiting and wala akong katabi na kilala ko kasi malamang lahat ng kakilala ko nasa gilid ng SMX.. Eh di ko na ininda yun gutom. I waited and after some long hours, mass started!

The Holy Mass celebration was good.. And si Bishop Ongtioco very lively magmass and funny. Kahit yun sound system eh static and what not, the mass was filled with grace and joy. This KCON grand feast was massive, kasi I thought kami lang nasa baba, akalain mo sa taas, may 7thou people pa and still enjoying the KCON. Meaning they need to have a bigger venue next year! hehe

After the Holy Mass, the usual worship but bago worship, some entertainment and raffle!!! Damn, di na naman ako nanalo! hahaha Entertainment was good, a surprise entertainment from Lani Misalucha.. Damn, partida, mukhang kakagising lang pero ang performance level, pang concert! hehe Sulit ang paghihintay. 

Worship started and I can say, it's a special worship kasi di lang matagal but may additional sharing and talk.. Suprisingly, Bro. Pio shared that he almost resigned sa LOJ due to what happened in his family. Pero di naman tinanggap ng LOJ yun letter niya, it happened years ago.. Even ganun, he continued to serve and yes, he treated yun nangyari as a blessing and it made his family closer each other and to God. 

Now, as he is very happy with his family and yeah, yun tinakbo ng service niya sa LOJ. That proves everything happens in a reason, in the end, you'll see why it happened. =) Bro. Bo started the miracle worker series, discussed about us making or asking for miracles through him. We too, can share miracles to others. It ended with a great worship, spreading our faith to him and gladly finished KCON indeed, better.

Well, I do hope they'll find a bigger venue for the grand feast next year. Sa mga venue sa streams, hmmmm ok sa SMX, easier to find and transportation din pauwi at papunta mas madali. Yeah, thanks to that premium ticket and I do have great seats in the venue. 

Although until now, di pa really I mean reached the goals I want or changes that happen.. Ang gusto ko sa KCON is that the talks are there to inspire you to do better in life in small steps. Motivates you to make changes in the plans you have in place, to make plans na more suitable for you, wisdom is needed to make those changes. Be informed on the things that you're searching for answers deep inside.. Lastly, if you're looking for a break from everything, you want to be filled with God's love and grace and have a fun time, definitely, reserve the dates and go to KCON!

Now, kahit bumalik sa regular life, well.. Everyday, I'm moving forward and apply what I learn for the better. Looking forward next year, can't wait!

Always remember, we are champion in the eyes of God.

Wit!- it means, no. hehe

AHT - Average handling time. This is the most common measure that a call center/bpo used when checking the productivity of an agent. Like it or not, this is the most important metric they'll ever check if you want to live in your job. Although some call centers give some leway in this, most of the centers don't, especially the outsourced ones. Geez. Don't be surprised if they give a higher target, I mean shortest of calls even the account is very freaking hard, they don't care about. The usual computation for this, talk time plus hold time and ACD/ACW. 

Keri - meaning you can do it, go ahead and yes. 

Escalation/sup calls - of course, number one rule in an CSR role is to avoid sup calls or escalating to an TL because it will affect your AHT and disrupts your TL's work. Worse, and it's true.. Some TL's even they are paid to do it, avoiding sup calls. Worst is your TL can't be found. But not all TL's are like this. hehe It happens in every agent, even me. But anyhow, if you're a veteran, you know what to do. First attempt to calm down the customer and give what he wants if possible, and still if the customer is quite agitated and asking for escalation or more, try to de-escalate and use some reasons. Usual reasons, TL is taking other calls, TL is on a meeting, TL is not around but will call you back in 2 hours. If you're a customer and you hear this, please understand, it simple as TL is not available to answer you. If the customer insists and threat to go to court, ombudsman or legal action, get your TL right away! Once you speak to your TL, give the reason for sup call, what happened, what did you do and tried to do to the customer and the mood of the customer. If TL says yes, step out, and let TL do the job. 

Reliability/Attendance/being present - this is of course, in any kind of work, meaning your presence at work. Even most of the centers consider attendance is a small portion of your scorecard, this is the most important metric in a job. Of course, you cannot reach other stats if you're not present at work. A tip for you, if you don't really like the job, just please inform TL you'll be gone. Because an absent of a team member in a day, really makes your TL in a bad mood. It will affect the stats of the time and will get some spanking from higher ops. But if you're into this industry, and you want to survive, forget the other stats, just be on time and present and it will help you along the way of having perfect attendance. Take it from me. hehe It does help especially if your stats are just falling down.

Absent/Absenteeism - simply not going to work for a day, unplanned and yeah, just making excuses of not going to work. I've experienced a lot of excuses why you will not go to work. TL's have heard all the kinds of excuses of agents not going to work. Ranging from agent got sick, to family emergencies, bereavement, to simply I'm not feeling well but the truth is, the agent is looking for another center. =)  Don't forget always to inform your TL that you'll not going to work because to avoid tagging you as NCNS (no call no show). That tagging, you don't want to see that in your file, because it stays for a long time and 3 NCNS incidents, you gotta find another job. If you got sick, don't forget to have a medical certificate ready when you go back to work. If you're not really sick, just be sure, you've enough cover to show that is the truth and not the all the way around. hehe This metric is high especially for US or night shift schedules. Why? It's better to sleep and give yourself a rest than talking to angry customers. Don't also forget to inform your workforce team if you'll be absent. 

Tardiness/Late - Logging in not on time, for example your shift is 9pm, and you've just log in at 9:05pm, you're late for 5 minutes. You can be late sometimes, but not everyday, or every other week or yeah.. Avoid being late most of the time because it may triggered as absence or worse, be suspended or terminated. To avoid this, simple advice, try to estimate your travelling time from your house to your work. Especially for those who is working very far from home, try at least going out from home 1 hour before your log in time. Or if you can 2 hours so if there is traffic or what happened along the road, you won't be late. It will also make your TL mad if anybody will be late. By the way, most centers, if you're late by 2 hours, or some 1 hour, you might as well not go to work anymore. You might be tagged as absent. 

Tools/Product tools/system - This is the term used meaning of what do you use in serving the client. What kind of tool you use for billing, or tech support, or adjustments/credits, or even tracking calls. Each center has different systems used in serving their customers. Don't be surprised if some still uses msdos systems. Some used siebel which is always lagging behind in reboot. Or others web based systems meaning it's like visiting a web page. Others use Citrix, virtual desktop type, meaning you have a live desktop and this one launches another desktop to have the specific tool run faster. Live with it that is slow which depends what kind of computer you use. Some centers don't upgrade their computer desktop so the tools are damn slow. Or other centers, well, IT is there to fix the problems of the tools and upgrade the software. I know it affects such productivity of an agent but well, gotta live with it and there's nothing we can do about it. There is no perfect system or tool. Nothing is perfect perhaps. 

chos - if a person says this to you, it's like an expression it's a joke or something unbelievable. 


Next will be the last.. 

Rurouni Kenshin

As record speaks, a lot of comics/manga/anime/game adaptations failed to really convert to movies. I just realized that there were many failures than success in this field. However, these past years, some film makers doing their best to avoid such downfall or ruin the creditability of the source material. Recently, like Dredd 3D or Ace Attorney made good strides, not that very much faithful for each detail but at least, the context of the movie is there. 

Another kind of momentum added because of this movie! Well, before the movie was shown I had glimpse of Rise of the Guardians, thanks to that reeler. =) Just around 5 mins, Rise looked good but the reeler realized it was the wrong movie, and me inside did not mind it but well, it's wrong anyway. At last.. The right film reeled in. 

For this film, of course, it has some flaws. As they really adapt the source, which I hate in the original one, a lot of talking and dialogue. Himura as nature talk first then fight, unlike his past. Then yes, a lot of talking from other characters and yeah it drags some time. 

Another thing, it's not really a flaw but it shows glimpses of Himura's past in a most short way that leave fans wanting for more. That's what I expect especially that scene where he killed the one who gave him the first scar. I was wanting to see Tomoe's face but alas.. Nice white kimono. Ergh. 

But anyhow, this film almost got into the list of great samurai films. The only thing hindered was evident, less blood and not much gore, it's because of the nature of the material and yes, the reversed sword. Expect a lot of ouch than splat of blood. Nice action sequences especially to that actor who really ran and jump like Himura, and yes, the sword as well.

Sword fighting sequences are good. Especially the sequences which Himura fights one dude, then Samanoske (if I got the spelling right) fights another dude. Although not great but it has execution and flowing sequence. I love the scene which the boss launches his machine gun, in great detail the scene work with the help of Saito. The 3G blood effect shows not in 3G so give credit to the effects team.

The direction is good, for having the pace same as the manga/anime. Choosing the right actors and I know the reason why. Director give effort to emphasize the mood of the present Himura and the past one, as one scene is dark, then the present is light, with the right effects and direction for those scenes, it helped. The screenplay is great as development of the story goes especially how the past mattered in the story. Especially in Himura's part. 

Damn, give credit to the actors, not only looking almost the same in the original source but also they did the part in a great way. Give credit to the lead actor of course, for acting with justice as Himura. Then the actress acted as Kaoru (I thought her name is Kaori. hehe), Yahiko the kid who is indeed a stubborn kid. Sanosuke, a really tall dude yet a ripped one, unlike the thin dude in the original one. Saito is Saito in this film even in small parts like his hair and sword style. I know for die hard fans, might looking for other characters you like, for me, the Master of Himura but we all pray, this will have a sequel or what I love, the prequel which I know it will be very very bloody and lovely, romantic. 

Lastly, I give credit to the costume/production setting people who I think made this film more real and make the adaptation work. Like my friend Ted, every detail is captured, like one example, the look of Megumi is indeed Megumi, Saito is Saito with his few bangs. How about Himura's scar and that maroon kimono. Or bright pink in the Anime, I don't know but it looks great. Kaoru, the villains and the other characters really show who they are as supposed in the original material. The right slow action sequences and yes, the Hiten Mitsurugi Style. =) 

I can't believe Warner brothers Japan invest a lot in 2 of the most beloved mangas ever created, this one and my fave Berserk. Although I'm still waiting to watch Berserk's part 2 and part 3 (I hope they will make a lot of it). This one is worth of their investment, and I won't be surprised if they will make more of this as long they take their time doing this and distribute it in the right way. Give credit to SM for exclusively showing this, see, after I watched this film, a lot is lining up outside. I don't care for the Hobbit. I did care for this one. 

It's because it's a childhood fantasy anime throughout the years. =) 

I hope that they'll do better in the next one or yeah they take time of this. I hope Japan will be the ones will make their own adaptation than relying to the US which they do bad. Unless it's a western material, but if it's manga or anime, please don't give it to them. hehe I'm now bracing myself to Akira, Oldboy and Ronin 47. Will it be a mess or hit? Except for Pacific Rim perhaps. If that looks good, then Del Toro should make Gundam, Madox, or even may fave Macross. hehe

For now, if they can make it for themselves like Ace Attorney, Yamato or this one, then why not others or maybe it's really unfilmable. DBZ is one I think we put in anime instead, no more attempts. Please.

Towards 2013

Next year will be a different one. It's the time to make my plans work. =) 

Ah, great thing may work ako na di naman stressed except for some tasks kasi billing at basta, medyo complicated yun mga cases pero di naman lagi kaya manageable pa. Kayang kaya pa. hehe With my blogs, ayun babawasan ko na ulit for sure around 10 per month. Yun sobra ok lang, because I'm planning to have another one for movies. Trip lang. hehe 

But before I can do that, I need to have a new computer, a faster and stable one. Then, save na din for my other actions like finishing the modules for SAP and if I can, drive na din. But in the end, I don't have a car. hehe

Health will be a priority, may plan na din ako for excercise, needs for equipment at siyempre ang routine. Sabay na din ng diet. =) Hinihintay ko na lang ang equipment, just small funds. 

Next year, since alam ko na kailangan ko for gadgets, eh yeah computer and keep my tablet working. Yun nga lang, a major setback happened. My punishing fire just stuck and the retailer told me na reflash ang gagawin, kaya bad trip talaga.. I need to wait for a month to have it fixed!! Ok na eh, sobrang panalo na.. Biglang ayun, naghang pag sa lock screen.. Oh geez, what a way to end the year! 

So now, I don't know yet, pero ang iniisip ko lang muna, have it fixed and let's go from there. 

Serving in the community is another thing, para maiba, I'm just waiting for the dates. Sana maging normal sked na ko next year kasi para sobrang saya naman sa work. The only reason lang naman bakit parang RAM sked ito kasi of the seats. Eh yun isang LOB lilipat na ng site, kaya mukhang malaking posibility na may seats na kami at higit sa lahat, normal sked na! Please!

Love life, not really much plan for it, unless I don't know.. It depends. =) Of course, never give up on searching. Ang nakakabad trip talaga yun pagstuck ng tablet, I learned my lesson, just get a very good brand at may madaling service center ok na. Like Sammy.. Not cherry.. Kasi from my experience with them, not worth buying. hehe 

Small steps, motivation, prayer and determination are the key so kahit papano naman sa buhay ko eh mangyari tama for me and I want to happen. From there, we can go to bigger steps and siyempre.. Goals na din. I pray na some change or sense of achievement eh may mangyari sa life ko next year. I'm not asking for big change, but just minimal change. =) 

For now, let's wait for January.

Capacities

After 4 years since they released Bipolar, I have hopes that it's either they'll do better than Bipolar in a different way or I'll be disappointed if they do worse than Bipolar.

After listening to 10 tracks of great light technical pleasure.. I am satisfied with this album. Better than Bipolar but of course, still the best yun una. Although I can say for an OPM rock fan, better collect all three. hehe

What I can say for whole theme of the album eh sobrang techinally great kasi you can hear how bass working good, lead is always effective, drums are great, shifting from rock to pop effortlessly.. Siyempre fantastic piano and vocals, in a lighter way. 

Lighter because sa Bipolar, maraming tracks ang deep and long which in the end, dalawang tracks lang ang gusto ko out of the 5 that I chose from that album. Dragging kasi yun ibang tracks. Unlike here, lighter becasuse they really went into more synthesizers, pop yet may sense and vocals really fit in those tracks. Out of ten, I can keep and want to hear 5 songs from it.. Yun sinabi nilang going back to 80's and has inspiration from new wave, eh rinig na rinig mo. Lalo na yun New Order, using electronic drums and synths a lot, iba lang eh female vocals.

For example and the track stood out in this album, is Turn it well. Akalain mo, radio edit pala sa music video. Mahaba yun track but it's a dance/rock song in one track. Dance kasi sa drums and the synths, rock because of the lyrics and the usual UDD theme, fast yet deep track. Yun nga lang, ang haba. hehe

Feelings is good, better yun may duet track kahit ang intro panget but pagtagal, narealize ko mas maganda yun may duet version. Yun Indak and tadhana will make waves, although it's long but may feel na pang OST eh. Yeah I forgot, halos lahat ng kanta, pwedeng pang OST. hehe 

I hope in their next album, that they will do more the usual UDD stuff. What I miss in the first album and definitely in this album, short songs that are powerful and has feelings to it. I don't know why they are not able to do that anymore, maybe it's harder for them pero for me yun ang nagdefine sa kanila. But kung di nila kaya, basta make music like in this album, basic yet more effective and lighter tunes. They can also do like sa bipolar but not for the whole album. 

Besides they do have capacities...

Can't believe I just saw Marian Rivera last Saturday. Pagbaba ko sa bus in Glorietta.. Wearing a black dress and I knew siya na kasi sa kilay, her left side of the face, at yun boses at yes, lahat star strucked sa kanya.. No commotion naman.. I passed by and ayun, nagkita kami nila Ivan. hehe Now, I can say, Dingdong has a reason why she chose her. Hmmmmmmm Kahit ganun ang kanyang alam na.. Magsalita. I suggest that he'll bring a lot of tape, masking tape or scotch tape pagmagkasama sila at nagsalita na siya.. hehehe

Anyway, although Christmas, sad to see some accidents. Kahapon eh one lady nasa ilalim ng bus sa may zapote road. Sad scenery at just now, before I got home, CRV tumilapon sa may QI. Siguro mabilis at higit sa lahat di nakita yun island barrier sa gitna kasi mababa. Sad to see those accidents kung kailan pasko. =(

Reunions finished, at siyempre di naman magtatapos dun, from RAM, 4BA1 kahit 4 lang at yeah, with Ron tapos after xmas, it's not done yet. May CRAP, tapos kung tuloy with 4BA1 ulit or CPM I'm not sure then siyempre family! At some friends ulit, geez it never ends. hehe 

Congrats sa first runner up natin sa Miss Universe, proud ako kasi Thomasian at partida, medyo nadaya. hehe Pero ok lang yun, sana yun susunod na papadala natin di mapressure. hehe 

Congrats to my close friend Raims for having a great progress in biz. Pax having a cover in a new mag, which me and Ivan tried to search it sa powerbooks but alas.. We can't find it. Maybe this week. I don't know when.. hehe But still congrats to them! Ah salamat din sa gameline for having such a great service pagdating sa warranty ng aking punishing fire tablet. Sa sobrang galing niyo, di na ko bibili sa inyo or even that brand. hehe 

Sana manalo ROS later!!!!! Yeah, bakit pa kasi di pa tinuluyan si James. hehe Alaska, malaki ang tsansa na makatsamba sa Tnt! Nood kaya kami ng CRAP na live. hehe 

Kalungkot itong UST, next year, wala na si Pido.. Naalok kasi for Barako Bull coach. Naman, well.. It's inevitable.. Sana nagstay pa siya one more year to bring UST to the championship.. =(

While waiting for my tablet to get fixed, maybe it's time to finish some books kahit ilan beses ko na binabasa. hehe Or let's see.. Improving vocabulary or sorts. I don't know, I just want to watch my collection again!!! 

Tomorrow na lang ako magsimba, I'm so late for the evening mass here at LSQC.. But definitely, I really like this year.. Despite not having much or financially stable. 

I love that feeling I'm so composed and yeah, not that stressed. Pressured but I'm taking it one step of a time.

Randomly Alive Meeting

Of course, this time, I won't miss the RAM reunion kahit well kahit kaunti pumunta. hehe Nung sinabi sa kin sa December 15 ang meeting namin, aba totally block ang mga gagawin ko for that day. That's how special this team is.. I expected na pupunta halos lahat but due to some commitments ng other members, even si TL eh randomly, kami na lang natira. 

Deng with a new hairstyle and same pa din. Marj has a long hair and simple yet looking good as well.. Alecks ehem may dalang S3 na una ko na notice. hehe But still the same, malakas mang kabog. hehe Yet is still beautiful Irish. =) At siyempre, pareng Ted na talagang magaudiophile na talaga. Ibang level na!!! Well, sa sobrang ibang level eh naisip ko di ko na kaya ang level niya. Hanggang S4A na lang or rugged na lang ako pre... hahaha Humabol pa si Mami Mainah with family pa. hehe

Surprisingly, we did not talk about much what happened sa RAM siguro naman kasi tapos na and since half lang pumunta, iba na lang ang pinagusapan. Totoong RAM to kasi, ang mga info na nakalap ko eh kakagulat!!! hehe Mukhang tama lang pala ang pagalis ng iba, kasama na ko dun. =) At eto naman kami, we went sa Krazy Garlik and ordered some 2 bundles and cripy pata, eto naman sila Alecks and Deng, alam na kung sino ang target. hehe Sila Yet and Marj of course, girls talk and chismax. Kami naman ni Ted aba, talagang matagal na kami nagkita, kwentuhan na at siyempre, budget budget din sa pagorder. hehe 

Order arrived at napakadami, kala namin hanggang 12am kami matatapos.. Nagsisihan pa! hahaha Pero ganun talaga, we missed each other, and as usual, kain na! Actually, I enjoyed the dishes although mahal kasi naman pala, part sila ng food group ng mga hate kong resto. TGIF and Italianni's. Great thing they have one resto like this, great menu, taste and accomadating staff even it's a hectic time, ang daming customer. Mabuti pala nakarating kami ng maaga. 

Anyway, as Ted ranting about the past xmas party and some movie flicks that we watched, siyempre kinamusta namin ang isa't isa, lalo na sa work life. Nakafocus lahat kay Marj at Alecks kasi with their new work. Very interesting at magandang propect. Kaya Marj, dapat don't forget us. hahaha At siyempre di maiwasan ko itanong ang nagFS. Sino mga TL, team mate at ano ano nangyayari sa buhay nila sa FS.

All I can say is, I am surprised na they are still there. Geez, with some surprising moves and new difficult challenges, I won't be surprised, one day, everybody will be running for their escape route. Unbelievable... Simply aghast. I don't know that word. hehe Pero I'm happy for those na napromote at yun mga nagmatapang nag FS once. hehe 

Mabuti pala dumating si Mami Mainah at naubos namin na napakadaming order, pero kahit di siya dumating, aba sulit din even with a high price tag. Kahit mahal ang beer, pwede na one bottle lang. Remember, alam niyo naman nangyari, bawal ang makarami. hehe 

I can't believe we finished around like 10pm tapos, uwi na kami. Kanyang kanya uwi of course but we vowed we'll meet again lalo na may isa dun na wala sa inuman. Ehem... We'll invade his house sometime. =) At sana next time, hmmmm yeah nandun yun iba at lalo naman si TL. 

Indeed those times, we're very active and had a fun time, even in a very short time. 

For now, I'll just wait for Ted's reminder..

Almost gone: Video rental shops

Sad to see, that the only Video City we have di lang sa barangay, kundi sa buong QC siguro or even NCR eh wala na sa may Suki. Dahil na din sa technology, the mobile entertainment, torrents, youtube or ehem persons like me eh di lang almost gone ang video rental shops.. Wala na talaga. Obsolete.. None.. No more!

Wayback those elementary days when betamax and VHS tapes were the king. Although those days eh nagstart na ng pirata directly from film houses, pero marami pa din video rental shops noong. Medyo mahirap magnegosyo nun ha.. Siyempre, iisipin mo san ka kukuha ng mga papahiram mo. Paano pag di sinauli yun pinahiram mo o sinira pala, mahirap yun kasi mahal ang mga blank tapes dati. Lalo naman ata yun equipment! hehe How about the customer infobase, I mean, di pa gamit ang computer noon for customer database, you will need to use a lot of index cards! ahahaha

Then, the setup ng shop with a lot of pigeon or small holes to fit yun tapes. At siyempre, isama mo pa yun update ng films. Video city was big at that time, they have the biggest chain of rental shops, at ayun mga pinapahiram nila ranging from new titles for 2 days, tapos 3 days and yun mga luma 5 days. I did have a membership card noon from them at hiram naman ako. hehe Kung wala si kuya ng mga epektos, let's go at video city! Eh may mga viva titles pa sila na alam na.. hehe Hot titles!!!

I still remember, may competitor pa sila, ACA video then blockbuster video set up one branch dito sa may east avenue.. All of them, had a opportunity to earn sa video rental, ang dating na lang eh paramihan ng titles, pagandahan ng shops and other strategies.. Unfortunately, good times never lasts. They did survive when VCD arrived, but when DVD arrived, bluray, youtube, internet, cinemas are releasing the same or earlier dates of flicks.. They approached their inevitable doom.

Now, may video shops pero on sale but wala bumibili.. Di ko alam kung ano ginagawa nila dun sa mga films na yun pag di nabili. Ang daming CD nun ha. Video City is gone, it's competitors went down first, ACA gone and blockbuster never expanded. Di lang dito, even in other parts of the world, example na lang sa US, blockbuster malapit na mawala because of netflix and others. Amazon na din. Japan you just need to order then ayun na, nasa pinto mo na yun flick na gusto mo. Movie channels now showing selections, a variety of selections at dumadami pa ang movie channels which prompt na di na kailangan magrent. 

Pay per view also, lalo na sa US na it's there all the time. Ah.. There, so due to a lot of access in flicks, di ko pa nasama ang mga pirata. hehe Wala na talaga, sad to say.. But maybe I should thank this one because without it, siguro di ako mahilig sa films lately. I still remember, mga after dinner, lalabas ako ng bahay tapos punta na sa isang maliit na video shop tapos nakatitig lang ako mga matagal tapos pipili lang ng isa o dalawa, 15 pesos ata bawat isang tape. =)

Now, all I need to do, is to wait some hours and presto! Sit back, relax and enjoy the movie!

flashbacks: Paskuhan 2003

In my four years stay in UST, there is always a famous event bago mag christmas.. That is Paskuhan! This year, I don't know kailan pero malamang kakamiss ang Paskuhan kasi it's full of sights and sounds, fireworks display and free decent food. hehe

That 2003 was the last Paskuhan I've experienced and I can say that's the best! =) 

I still remember or correct me if I'm wrong eh parang last day na ng school week, then we had christmas party ata then ayun sa afternoon parang sinamahan ko pa ang friend ko going to Cavite. It was a long ride, just looking for a resort na gusto nila puntahan to set up a party. It was a tiring trip but worthwhile naman, alam niyo naman kung bakit. hehe Those were the days.

After that trip eh we went straight ahead sa paskuhan, meeting with other classmates to enjoy the night!

Actually, we did not really enjoy the night, I still remember, we did not even eat yun free food. What we do in that night was what we do best.. Selling samba and stuff. Yes, because sa class corpo eh we need to generate more income, so this was the better time to sell stuff, especially our best seller na samba. Kami lang ata na section na ganun. Sobrang sipag namin!

Pero masaya dun eh sama sama kami sa pagbenta, parang we bought 10 boxes of samba at ayun ikot ikot lang sa UST, we did not even care kung sino yun nagpeperform sa stage, basta ikot, sigaw ng samba at benta na. hahaha

Damn, tapos yeah, while doing that eh siyempre kwentuhan, asaran at non stop fun while doing the job. We don't care the students looking at us and saying ano ba ginagawa nito mga to.. Benta pa din! Bumibili naman ang mga ungas! hahaha

I also remember na yun, di pala kami nagbenta ng bags that night pero basta naalala ko, grabe inikot namin yun buong field para lang bumenta. Those times even all of us were tired from the subjects, feasib, class corpo at mga tests... We all passed and graduated! Even we did not win yun best class corpo even we're the only one manufactured our products and expanded into different ventures, ok lang.. We did not care to get the honors. We just took care our studies, ourselves and for the whole class. 

Those times were a mixture of fatigue and happiness. We were happy on what we're doing, we look at each other's backs and just doing our best..

Me? Full of hope and love. Yihee... =)

Now, nah.. I still enjoyed that scenery.. Even di pa ko nakakabalik sa UST for paskuhan.. Siguro pag nakuha ko na yun Alumni Card at pwede na kami sumama, why not? It's a best time to remember memories in UST and like I said, the best school years that I have!!!! =) 

Except of course, I don't have a bag of samba in my hand. Everytime nakakakita ako ng samba, yun dila ko umuurong na.. Umay eh.

And maybe, nasanay na, dahil sa Samba aba, siguro baka wala kami kinita sa ininvest namin! =)

Paskuhan? It's definitely an event that a Thomasian should always go!

Kuya Allan

As our eldest brother, I know I should look up to him in a lot of ways. A lot of ways..

However, it ends up we need to kinda support him or at least, tignan siya lalo na sa age niya.. It's quite sad but, he's still our big brother.

He quite inspired in my cultural preferences. Gaya na lang ng japan culture! Nasama ako lagi niyan sa greenhills just to buy newtype magazines. hehe saka yun hilig ko sa anime, nihonggo, anything bout japan, sa kanya ako nahawa. haha hmmm some of 80's new wave interest came from him kasi naman, he has mobile works and used to play vinyl, doing remixes and listening to 89.1dmz.. Kaya ayun, nahawa ako. hehe

Ah, yeah kahit sa anime, eh he can really draw, lalo na sa shirt.. Bayaran lang yun shirt at pintura. hehe Movies! I still remember his VHS collection, lalo na yun galing siya US, tapos naguwi siya, yun na. I admit, ako tagasira ng player niya.. Paano ba naman, pag wala siya, siyempre pag may mga R flicks or hentai, eh alam na gagawin sa VHS player.. fast forward na! haha Pag nasira or nakain yun ribbon, tahimik na lang. Bwahaha Sorry bro... 

But thanks to him, I was able to watch the greatest films, like Star Wars, Godfather, Indiana Jones and other classics. Now, ako naman tagahanap ng mga trip niya. hehe

Those were the things that he kinda inspire me or to get my preferences ah one more thing, playing computer games! Sikat kami noon kasi may Atari, Nintendo, Sega, Sega Saturn, tapos Ps one, PS2, then yun na. Plus some handheld consoles pa. Pwede nga kami magkaroon ng game museum because of these games. hehe

Don't forget yun mga collection niya ng mga figures, of anime characters.. Like Gundam, Chun Li and other characters. I tried that before pero, wala talaga ako talent, lalo pag coloring part na. hehe 

Yeah, that's why despite his stature today, I still love him. Even with his temperal attitude towards others kahit parents ha, pagdating sa kin.. Di siya ganun. Geez... hehe Weird but ok lang. Although, paglaki ko he become very distant from me kasi from endeavors eh pagnakita naman kami, we talk like kids, what's the new thing, computers, gadgets, downloads and other stuff.

Kaya sana, kahit ganun siya today, lalo advice ni Dad na intindihin na lang siya even siya eh na hirap din. hehe hay, even other siblings cannot help him.. Gerro even doesn't want to see him. Like I said earlier, may attitude kasi that really won't work with other people. 

Well, for now ah I hope and pray na he can have an opportunity to work as a productive person. Lalo na now may Aljune na siya and be a good father to him. I know it will be hard to change his ways, pero I pray na if he thinks these changes are not for him, at least for Aljune na lang. For his future na din. I still believe in him, and it's not too late for him to make steps toward success. Even everybody seems lost hope in him.

Bro thanks sa lahat at sana one day, if everything eh easy na lang... Play all day! hahahaha

Before going to work, eto, planning what's going to happen in December!

Dad's birthday coming soon, hmmmm holidays na din and yeah nothing special. This new work I have I can say, mga 1-2 months ko pa mamaster at least 80% of the work, kasi yun remaining 20% eh di mo naman mamemorize kasi even the veterans eh nagtatanong pa ng answers sa TL. Mukhang challenging backoffice work to really prepare myself for the dream job. Naks.. Tamang brain excercise lang. 

I've decided to well, make some activities sa LOJ since Sundays off and sure na! Yes, thank God! hehe Hmmmm I'll tell it to my current CG head. Actually schedule na lang hinihintay ko, sana Saturday off ako pag nagseminar na. =) December this year, even drought financially eh masaya naman ako, kasi it's the time that I can rest, no more holiday rush sa orders and even managing the shop, looking ahead sa inventory and sales at cash! It's all about preparing for next year and budget na din. Besides ang problem ko na lang eh, well survive this job, get more bills to generate to earn extra income. As much I want or need to do a part time job, I hope I can find one na pwede dito sa bahay lang... More doing my work sa computer ko lang. Wag nang extra work in another company kasi mahirap since galing Eastwood tapos kung malayo pala yun company, wag na te. hahaha

This month, looking forward to read another book, or buy a new one! Ah more movies to watch as I dig my collection... Reunions eh nandyan na yan, sana sa mga dating team ko.. Or even CRAP, friends, special friends, new ones, or kahit sa CG. 

This month, I announce, sadly this will be the last month na 15 number of posts ko for each month. Reason one, I feel I'm running out of ideas to write! hehe Second is yeah, other movie posts will be in a separate one, although baka di agad agad, pero target ko for my personal ones are 10 then kung ano sumubra dun, that's a bonus. I'll find pa kasi a good site where I can post the other blog. =) More of a movie blog, actually it's a movie blog, just for fun! 

This month, yeah, another year of bliss and white christmas.. Geez, I pray na next year, I'll spend with somebody special! Naks.. How I wish. And yes, looking forward for next year, progress and change. If there will be small progress next year, I'll be damn happy, kahit saan, even in financially, emotionally or physically.. That's a big step for change. =)

So, that's it oh yeah I forgot, will I go sa Cinemanila? Very dramatic selection they have this year.. Wala manlang action packed!!! =(
