Can we just move on to February? hehe Hay, as much I want to be great or at least good sa work eh mukhang alat na ko. QA lower than last month, and some bad luck na din kasama sa QA, ayun, kadisappointing. I'm surprised why they still ask questions for me for help even they have better QA scores than me.. Absurd isn't it? hehe

But anyway, yeah, for this month that's a big letdown. Parang di lang March ang malas na month for me, (according to previous years.) pati na talagang itong month na to. I don't know why! Siguro I need to do those new year rituals to put away bad luck, such as maraming bilog na fruits sa mesa, (I remember marami naman kami nakahain), jumping with those coins (which I don't like to do), making new year's resolutions (which only confuses me for the rest of the year and I have kept some already), at marami pa. Nah, I don't believe that much sa mga ganun. =)

Well, important is to move on na lang to the next month. Besides, I have 11 more months to make it up and to do better. By the way, mabuti nakabalik na ang punishing fire ko at mukhang maayos naman. No major letdowns or any weird happening to it. Pero once pagtagal nito, I'll just get a sammy one due to service and warranty. Damn these china's other brand spinoffs, very tricky. For now, important eh may film fest ulit ako, but not every week kasi sa sked. Important eh unti unti nakakapanood na ko ng straight. hehe

Yeah, another great thing, hmmmm as much I want to go to other brands, eh Philips seems to be keep enticing me to get one of their in-ears. I did at this one, I can say, even not louder as yun pioneer na in-ear pero very crisp naman after burning it for 50 hours, at way better than MOS in-ear, with it's tough cord at really fit in my ears. Sana black na lang kinuha ko. hehe Kaso light blue or aqua is enough.

Despite lowered QA score, I kinda like the work, not stressful like taking calls or so, may pace kung baga. As much I want to it RAM type of work pace, di pwede! Bad trip, kailangan metikoloso. hehe Unlike RAM na pag nakita mo lang yun type ng transfer eh ratsada na agad, kahit walang second look.. Dito, damn really need to check every detail. hehe Even for a third look, hay kailangan maayos pa din.

So, for this one, I need to be detail oriented and definitely careful so I can reach high QA next month. Or just to pass it will be fine with me. Medyo bagalang ko na lang lalo kung maclose ko yun task. 

For this month, definitely better than last year. I mean, last year eh binibilang ko na lang yun araw enjoying working sa RAM because of its demise.. Now this year, although not getting a good score eh I still have a simple yet fun job. Kakasabi nga ng isang TL kagabi, stay and aim for high scores and position, you'll be somewhere in the company. Nasabi ko nga 1 year, I want to be in a different position. Just to do something different than agent or so.. I'll just do my best every day at my work and to help the team. Always. Stay siyempre! 

Otherwise, at the back of my mind, at my real mindset...

I have other plans.  =)

Eye of the Beholder

Looking across such wide, massive windows,  I can't comprehend what lies beyond that.
Just staring to those luscious greens, clear sky with serene scenery, I thought that if I can stare the whole day above. Looking and just wandering whole day..

Alone, in a big, big, big house.

Back of my mind, I don't know how I will stay here if I do own this great house. Let's say I'll be so dazed and lazy everyday waking up and go down, then work. I want to just stay at home and live freely.  Alone all the time. But of course, not for long. Spacious, almost zen like environment, less clutter and vibrant.

I can say it's a dream house but its quite big for me or even if I have a future family.

I may not even need a lot of space for it. However, due to the spacious design and almost minimalist one, I can say I enjoy having this kind of house. At least I can stay for a while, once in a lifetime.

Past weekend, I planned everything already but it seems I delayed it. I just watched TV all day, even I thought I should clean the house.. I surf the net then I almost forgot to write something for my blog. With the amenities I needed, it seems like I can't leave this house except for work of course. 

Besides with all the amenities and great features it has.. How about the comfortable beds and ergonamic furnitures? Rooms are quite big, its like combine the 2 rooms in the second floor at our home just equivalent to a room here! One thing stood out the most is I can just stare outside, without those bothering windows, just the plain outside sky. 

Birds chirping, greener leaves, more trees than housing or other obstruction. Simply, a quiet, serene place, especially here upstairs. 

A deep sigh suggest that I kinda like it here. 

Better enjoy staying here since we did not have this kind of house before! =)

Better stay here perhaps!

Well, eto naghahabol for that old school light comedy film fest week. Haba. hehe Anyway, siguro for now as I am impatient of having a new computer and get on with my digital plans eh mukhang waiting style muna ako. =) Before that and to keep me busy, better ready of getting fit. I should read or indeed prepare yun binigay sa kin ni Raims na program and Rick's program, let's see if it will works for me. 

For this past week, ayun medyo alat sa QA pero ok lang, bawi na lang for the final weeks. Work although yeah, not really financial rewarding pero ok naman, not stressed or somewhat pressured. Siguro more of improving na lang sa QA and to reach my goals for the next month. I haven't thought of taking a VL, I'll reserve that for important na lakad. This year with all that small plans I have, there is one more goal I need to reach..

Surprisingly, di ko naman naset pero biglang lumitaw. See your close friends or even friends you haven't seen for a while, a very long time. Like kay Ate Mela, na it was a refreshing trip going to her house siyempre nandun ang kanilang baby Bianca Trish, at siyempre si Mike. At mabuti nga talaga nakaalis na ko dun, with the chismax I got.. Ayos! Hahaha tama lang pala ang escape route. 

Then, Bes is also sending signals na when will I meet her. Definitely top of my list, before travelling around, maybe time na din to meet her personally or kahit sa video call perhaps. hehe 

Another suprisingly event, For Cy and Ghe, congrats! I wish the best for your wedding and I can't believe I'm invited! hahaha Even I did not see Cy for once after college at kahit di ko siya kaclose nung college but thanks to my blog and multiply, I will be meeting one of my fans. hahahaha 

Other friends that I haven't seen for a long time, dapat nga today pupuntahan ko another close friend kaso piyesta sabi ng isang friend ko, hirap pumunta. Next time na lang.. =)

Sad to say, ROS got swept away. Pero ganun talaga, ayoko ko lang kasi sa TNT kasi matagal na silang champion. Pero give credit to them, despite with a weird frontcourt.. They won a championship again! Sana Alaska na lang nakalaban nila sa finals. hehe

NBA, can't believe OKC is the number one team! Pero makikita natin kung gaano talaga sila kagaling pagdating sa Playoffs, lalo na walang Harden na and with a new offensive system. I hope Perk will improve lalo na sa defense. Yun na lang gagawin, katamaran pa niya! hehe

Can't wait na din sa new sked, an hour earlier, pero ok lang kaysa sa walang change sa sked. Still hoping for a morning sked, kung pwede lang palayasin yun ibang LOB! hahaha

Unfortunately, this month will be start of a long time circus towards election day.. Can we just vote those who are really qualified and dedicated, not those who look nice or sounds good in any place..  Geez, simply vote for the right people. Except siyempre sa mga makukulit na kay laging tumatakbo, talo naman. hahahaha Yeah, all of them, almost.. Parang perya na to, iba't ibang talent para magpasaya ng tao pero pagkatapos nun, wala na! Peryang perya nga. hehe

Mukhang ok naman ang less posts for a month. Wala naman masyado epekto, although sobra ng 10 for this month, pero reaching 10 is no problem. 

A lot of time for rest , being productive and waiting.

The West Memphis Three doc series

 I stumbled upon a news that after 18 years in prison, 3 guys who were arrested due to murder of 3 8-year old boys and persecuted because of a belief that it was done as a satanic ritual, are free. 18 years, damn, they did miss a lot of their lives.  Of course, I read the facts through wiki and I saw something wrong in their verdict. Well, as the trial did 18 years ago and with a lot of mishandling, inappropriate proceedings and harrowed prejudice, the state of AK persecuted indeed 3 innocent boys. I thought our justice system is bad, in that case, justice system is a lot worse!

 I can't believe and it's for the record that I watched the 4 documentaries in a span of one day. It's a marathon, I tried to pause and say I'll come back next day or a week but nah.. As I thirst for answers and keep hoping that those 3 will have their freedom even in a most crazy way, I was able to finished it.

There were 4 documentaries made for the plight of truth and justice for these 3 guys who were sentenced of death row and life sentence. 3 out of 4 made for HBO, called Paradise Lost 1, 2 and 3. The another one which I believe has the bigger budget and a lot of movie star support is West of Memphis. If I will be asked which one is the best or so.. I say, if you want the whole journey from start to finish, just watch Paradise Lost series. If can't stand watching around 2 and a half hours each documentary, and you want a shorter version, go to West of Memphis. 

As I was saying, the story starts, well.. I also advise you check wiki for this because it will be very long if I give the all details. But to make it short, 3 guys were arrested of murdering 3 8-year old boys. Those boys were killed in a gruesome manner, beaten, bitten and it may thought of sexually molested and one of the boys was sexually mutillated. All of these, as the police and persecutors pointed that this happened due to a satanic cult. Then, unfortunately for the 3 guys as there were witnesses, or even a confession directing of persecuting Jessie Misskelly, Jason Baldwin, and Damien Echols for these crimes. The facts they used? First Damien wears black clothing, loves heavy metal music including Metallica, and has knowledge of Wiccan religion even he's catholic. Jason was just a close friend of Damien who well, also likes stuff that Damien does. Jessie is really doesn't know the other 2 as he was forcibly confessed that he saw the killing or participated one due to the fact that he's borderline into mentally retarded. As emotions were high even the best defense lawyers can do, prosecutors and police was able to sell great logic to the jury.. 

Damien was sentenced to death, Jessie for 40 years in prison and Jason, life imprisonment with no parole. Their journey for freedom starts there, 18 years.. Yes, 18 years later after all the support they've got from the documentaries, even the people of the state, the family of the victims or even their respective families, then celebrity support such as Peter Jackson, Eddie Vedder, Johnny Depp, Dixie Chicks and others... They were free as they did the Alford Plea, meaning they will plea guilty, but they will maintain innocence and reduced life sentence as indeed around 18 years in prison. 

They are now free, but of course, they want to know still who is the real killer of those 3 innocent boys. Until now, nothing filed or even arrested a suspect of these murders. 

It is sad that in this life, or in this world, this kind of justice still processing in our society. It's sad that like the US with all its capabilities, with their State and Federal Laws and advanced law enforcement, taking pride of their Jury system, has big flaws. Not only these cases, but a lot of cases, big ones. Like the case in Gasland which it involves enviromental issues and they don't seem to care of the towns that were experiencing health issues. Or how about in the Invisible War which higher military officials done sexual harassments or even rape got away and some of those accused even got promoted! Or simply the Client 9 blown out, I mean Spitzer is not perfect, he admitted that, even Bill done that but because of his resignation due to immense pressure from the wall street giants, USA fall to deep recession because of the banks/corporations he exposed who were rigging. 

For this simply case that made out of hand due to wrong interpretation of evidence, or even procedures of the cops.. I mean, it's hard.. It's bothersome not only in the US, but the whole world. I mean, like here in this country, as we have a justice system which also or almost like any other justice system, a lot of holes or loops just to get out or if you're unlucky, you'll get in due to the fact of a lot of factors. Whether it can be political pressure, mishandling of evidence or facts or worse, due to slow process of our justice system, it wore out in the end. 

What fascinates me in these series was how this jury, able to buy that notion at the trial of Jessie, that his confession was falsely made. In the simplest defense and logic, they did not listen. It's the first time I heard a real forced confession. Well, here it happens but this one, no force physically was done unlike here. hehe But police knew that Jessie is somewhat mentally challenged, they kept him asking the questions for a day, then in the end because of that pressure, he gave what the police want. Jury or the judge did not even check the evidence, I mean they dude was kept in police for a day then the confession recording played in the court room was only 45 minutes? Is that really enough evidence to pin him down? Not only that, with a lot of witnesses testifying that Jessie was far away from the crime scene at that night even there was a written proof, they did not look at the evidence. 

Then, going to Damien's and Jason's trial, with all the proof that they were in school or each other's house at that night of murders. They did not listen as well. What helped to get them convicted? The so called forensic expert plus the "cult" expert then one dude who said Jason confessed that he done and that which in the end, he was a drug addict and admitted it was made up, all of those poor points of evidence led to the conviction of the two. That doesn't include well, how police forgot asking the neighbors what happened to the time of the crime, even the families of the victims were not that throughly investigated which they really messed up in the end. 

Hay... It was really more than a national spectacle, it's more of a circus show that these 3 guys will be put to that you know wheel and the other person at the other end has a knife and keeps throwing to those 3 guys until they we're worn out. I felt sad after watching the first Paradise Lost, seems after that no hope for those 3. 

Then, as years goes by, new evidences were showing up due to the help of those fans who watched the first Paradise Lost. Like most of the viewers, they can't stand the hypocrisy happened to those 3 guys! They raised funds and get the necessary support and more credible and reliable experts, then new evidences emerging. Such has there were bite marks, and with it, it will show no DNA from those 3 present to the victims. Some of the evidences were planted and do not really link to any of those 3 accused. New suspects can be questioned or maybe have involvement in the crime. Other factors also arises such as the state of Arkansas approved new trial for new DNA findings and sorts...

But why it took 18 years? Well, there were a lot happening in the appeals of these guys, especially Damien who accused his former defense lawyers of not representing him correctly, then the biggest factor was the judge of the murder trials which until now I can't believe it... All the appeals they have done for retrial or new trail, it was the same judge who convicted them in the first place? How you will win an appeal if that same judge will trial the case? There was one instance that he did not even look at the new evidence or hear the arguments, he out closed the case and said no for the appeal. Did these guys have a right to have a different judge to trial the case? Hell yeah! But nah.. 

However, in the end of their plight of freedom, they were able to get a breakthrough of the case, such as The Supreme Court allowed them due to the new law of DNA testing for the guilty convictions to re-examine the cases again, to have retrial or hearing the new evidences. Then, the state had a election for Senate, this judge they allowed to win so a new judge will hear the case. 

Then, just August 2011, a surprise hearing made and the prosection, and the defense agreed for an Alford Plea to make this case closed and move on.. The 3 guys agreed and made this plea to the Judge. Judge agreed, set them free. 

At first, those who were shouting for execution of those 3 way back 18 years ago, you can check that in the first Paradise Lost but 18 years later, they were shouting for the freedom of those 3. They did understand the evidence, logic and other suspects can be involved in this murders, they want them free.. Which I can't believe the jury of the trial, the judge, prosecutor who made a great acting in the trial but great he lost in the elections.. hehe And even the retired police investigator who initiate this fiasco of convicting 3 innocent men.. They still believe that those 3 done the crime. Geez, they're simply outrageous! 

For the Paradise Lost series, what I really like was the emotion build up collected in the first 2 parts, I mean they got blow by blow accounts of the case and even some evidences pointing not to the three guys.. It's real and yeah, I did not mind it's 2 and a half hours each. Although the third one did not disappoint, but it was kinda rushed even it has nice graphics and clear cinematography and pacing. It's shorter and it lack some facts or new evidences which they it did not show in detail. But what I love in this documentary, damn Metallica soundtrack all over it. Ted gonna love this. hehe Metallica shown support wayback 1996 by giving their music which they not always do in movies.. Because maybe they love the convicted that they are proud fans of their music and nothing to be ashamed of. Gotta get the best of Metallica. The documentary properly used the music in the major shots and I love there the scene which Jason's Mom wants to dedicate Nothing Else Matters of Metallica to the 3 guys because indeed, nothing else matters to her but the 3 convicted guys innocence from  the crime. Real justice should be served. She want them free. Cool Mom! =)

For the West of Memphis, this what Paradise Lost 3 loss, it was filled by this movie.  More compact and accurate timeframe of the trial and some of the evidence and facts that you did not see in the Paradise Lost series, are here! I was laughing although I should not but yeah, it's clever on how those boys got scracthed, bitten and the unlucky one, police did not even think of it. New evidences were explained in detail here, better.. The logic also explained in the right way.. Most importantly, you can really see or feel who is the real suspect for these murders. Or maybe there are two of them. What I like most in this film, not the OST because no Metallica here, there is Eddie Vedder song but I like the Metallica stuff. hehe But it's the celebrity involvement of this case. I mean I'm not a Peter Jackson fan but in this film, I said damn, I am his fan! He exerted not only financial support but also effort to really push for the freedom of these accused. Count Johnny Depp in then you have Eddie Veder who I am surprised he supported these guys from the start, then let's thank that Dixie Chicks Vocalist who because of her libel case against one of the stepfather victims, has shed some light in the murder case. They were up and arms for the freedom of the West Memphis three and a lot believed in their advocacy and followed for the fight. 

The star of course of these documentary is West Memphis Three.. I feel very sad for these three especially at the time of the trials, I mean I don't know how they were able to survive for 18 years of waiting in agony. For Jessie, I mean, even he's that mentally challenged, you can see he was afraid at the trial, admitted he was coerced. But indeed a loving son and his family stood behind him. For Jason, I mean almost not agreeing to the Alford Plea which it may cost their early freedom, very calm and not really agitated thanking for the support of his Mom and friends. And Damien, as he said that he's very thankful for the documentary because without it, he might be killed inside the prison or by himself. But he never give up and I'm happy for him not only he got married but also find peace and happiness after he was released. Happily Married. For those 3, I wish them enjoy freedom, and move on.. Although it was a hard process but well.. In the end, they prevailed even in a flawed manner. I will do the same thing, even I mean it will be a longer trial for getting all the evidences, talking again and looking for those witnesses who were coerced and say this in the trial before.. The appeals and arguments, I mean do you think the prosecution will just let them get away, of course not.. As the last prosecutor thought, well.. It will be more costly and a long process if there will be retrial. Besides, it's one of a big deal of a lifetime. I just want to get out, let the facts present if not with the justice system, but the minds of the many that indeed.. You are innocent. 

I hope that whether it's a jury type of system or the regular one, everybody should really go to the evidence rather than the emotions or pressure of many. I mean, this won't happen if the jury just checked the evidence or even thinking of basic common sense. Make sure listen to the right experts not the so called experts who did not even take right courses or training. But sad to say, this might happen again if not there, or here, it will happen everywhere.

John Byers, well.. After watching the last Paradise Lost 3 and West of Memphis, I believe you did not do something but it doesn't mean you're off the hook, one last time. If there will be an investigation again, just submit and prove you're innocent then yeah.. You're free! Great job you did at the Paradise Lost 3, with that cardboard you made with all the logic and facts. You're pretty damn right. 

Terry Hobbs, if you're really innocent.. Maybe it's time to really admit or defend yourself with all the evidence or even testimonies pointing to you, and the history you have. I mean, it's not bad to have yourself again in trial like what you did in your case against the Dixie Chicks. Just prove yourself. How about negating that  "hobb's family secret" statement. It will help you see. By the way, it will be hard for your friend to keep quiet and doesn't know anything in the murders especially when there is DNA evidence involving him. I'm thinking although John Byers can do by himself because of his physique but he has no history of violence, unlike in your case. I'm also thinking 2 people would've done it. 



For those kids, don't worry, if not now.. Later, justice will be served. =)

flashbacks: Cutterpillow Album

The greatest OPM album ever. Simple as it sounds, but well evident naman sa lahat ng mga ka edad ko or even pumunta sa Eheads reunion concert eh malamang gusto makinig ng halos lahat ng kanta sa album na to. 17 songs of about love, iba't ibang trip, even CMT, or having a bliss in life. Melancholic songs na din, very sad or some songs na sobrang happy. A well balanced album that appealed to all of us. 

I don't think may ganitong album pa ginawa after that, well they tried even Eheads themselves but di ko na trip. Naging iba na sounds nila after this. There were a lot of reasons, Ely changed inspiration, Raimund has other bands or even produced other bands album, Buddy and Marcus doesn't really care kung ano mangyari as long they can do their own thing. At marami pang rason, which lead to there inevitable disbandment. Siyempre nagreunion sila after sometime for the fans which was very lovely. 

For me, I missed the reunion concert, but did not mind anyway. As long I have this album and listen to it, worries or troubles seems to be far away. In a high! 

Out of their numerous albums, I only liked 4, siyempre yun makulit na ultramagneticpop, yun dark yet clever Circus, tapos eto na. I did have their Christmas album, Fruitcake pero yeah not really worth for keeps. hehe

Before, noong nasa school pa ko, uso pa nun yun casette and cd's as for music collection. Ako naman yeah, I have a collection na, ang nasa OPM ko lang eh Eheads albums, CD's pa nabili ko sa tower records here sa QC (which now became a rent space owned by national bookstore). I remember, the first Cutterpillow copy I have was given to me by Kuya Dong, casette pa siya and at first I did not mind. Kasi hinahanap ko mga kanta eh nasa Circus pala, that time, bagong release pa lang ng album. 

However, as days goes by and after listening to it since di ko alam paano pumili at bumili pa ng tapes. hehe Parang naattached ako agad and became a treasure for me. I mean, everyday, after school, I go home and before doing something, I listen to this album and kinda cheer me up for the rest of the day.

So going back to those school days, ayun I forgot kung sino humiram ng casette basta I'm sure may humiram at after sometime and checking my music collection, aba wala na! Di ko na makita. Damn... 

Kaya ayun, bumili naman ako ng CD type ng Cutterpillow. By the way, ang kulit ng cover ng ablum, with that iconic jelly fish pciture thatpos orange cover, with the lyrics and yun funny dun ay ang thank you part na walang pause, I mean no period or comma, basta tuloy tuloy lang. 

Anyway, college days, since di pa uso ang burning, eh siyempre ako may CD player sa skul at minsan dala ko yun Cutterpillow, as a nostalgia from my other classmates, nakita nila. Gusto nila hiramin, pinahiram ko naman..

Same thing happens as I checked my CD collection, wala na siya! Erghhhh. hehe But welll, all I have is the mp3 na lang which sana lahat mayroon na di ba. hehe

Well, I can't blame na di na siya nasauli, who will not hate that album? Geez, it symbols the generation ko, I mean it's like Voltes V, Shaider, Eat Bulaga, or even Palibhasa Lalake, part of growing up ang album na to. Cutterpillow. Ganun siya kaiconic. =)

I want to thank Eraserheads for this and of course from all the fans, well keep this piece of treasure. Many artists or bands lalo na sa OPM are doing albums na maganda, like Radioactive or UDD, or even Orange and Leomons that I don't why they disband. hehe But nothing, nothing will come close to this album. I thought meron pero nah... hehe

Definitely a pinoy OPM great album. Hands down. 

Dati fave kong kanta eh Ang Huling El bimbo kaso through the years, naisip ko masyadong malungkot. hehe Superproxy, slo mo, back2me, fine time!!!! Those di pwede wala sa playlist ko. hehe Pero yun pinakafave ko, I just realized at kinakanta ko pa sa karaoke! Huwag mo nang itanong . hehe At second fave, Torpedo.

Malamang di pa din ako makakatulog o kung makatulog man lang eh hanggang ngayon, di mawawala sa isip ko kung bakit ako natalo kay Marquez. Ayun na eh, basag na mukha niya nung 5th-6th round, kaso ayun nauna ako maKO. 

Siguro, ang gagawin ko una sa lahat, kahit ano sabihin nila, move on na ko. Well, magtrain ulit at gawin yun tamang conditioning na di nagawa sa last fight. Kung lalaban ako sa April, sabi nila eh for tune up fight.. Malamang yun di masyado malakas muna. At hindi si Guerrero yun. Pwede din si Brandon Rios kaso delikado ata lagay ko dun kasi baka di tumumba, gaya nung Alvarado fight. 

Siguro lalabanan ko, pwede agad si Bradley since ang huli niyang laban eh ako naman din kaya medyo lamang pa ko sa kondisyon. hehe Kung hindi, pwedeng, Khan na since iba na ang coach and trainer. Si Cotto ayaw naman kasi mahirap nga naman bumaba ng timbang. Marami pa pwedeng kalabanin wag lang muna Marquez or Mayweather. 

Pagtuloy sa April at nanalo ako, siguro magiisip na ko magretire, tama na yun nagawa ko, 8 titles in 8 different divisions, pwede na! hehe Pero siyempre, maganda kung may retirement fund. To have a retirement fund, I'll fight Marquez muna kasi malamang mas mataas na sa $20million na makukuha ko.. Pero siyempre para sa pinoy kaya dapat manalo na ko. hehe At ang huli, si Mayweather, kasi since natalo naman ako malamang papayag na siya lumaban sa kin. Kahit anong tests, condition, kahit sige, sa kanya ang PPV, basta $40-$50 million bayad, ok na! Although of course, medyo mahirap yun kasi susunod na talo ko, pero kung aabot sa ganun ang bayad, why not! hehe But I'll defeat him, I know I can. Naks! Naisip ko kahit yun na lang parte ko kasi pagnatalo siya, di matatakpan ng pera yun talo niya.. At pag natalo siya, or kahit ako, walang rematch, kumita na eh. Mahirap na para sa health ko. hehe Ok lang matalo ako, basta matuloy yun fight para sa lahat ng fans! Focus ako sa condition, physically at mentally. 

Pagdating sa faith, siguro paiisipan ko kung san ako masaya. Kung doon o dito.. Magulo pero sa tingin ko, hihingi ako ng advice, at siguro magdasal ako ng taimtim para malinawan ako. Siya ang aking sandalan. 

Di na ko gagawa ng films, or even TV shows, concerts or even game shows or kahit kumanta. Focus na lang sa boxing. Di na ko makikinig sa iba na di ko gusto at wala akong talent! hehe

Di na ko magcongressman, di kasi ako nakakafocus sa boxing.. Sabagay, tatakbo naman yun kapatid ko at si Jinkee kaya kung gusto nila yun, sila na lang. Magpapahinga na lang ako at isipin na lang kung ano mabuti para sa family at sa iba. Maginvest sa mga tamang business at wag masyado sa gastos, bawas at wala na din ang balato! hehe Aayusin ko na lang yun boxing promotion ko at tayo ako ng boxing gym, at discover ng bagong boxing talent.  

Gusto ko yun tahimik na buhay na after boxing or tumulong sa iba thru NGO or sariling foundation. At tuloy na tuloy healthy ang lahat. 

Hihintayin ko na lang na malagay ako sa Boxing Hall of Fame, karangalan di lang sa akin, kundi para sa buong Pilipinas! =)

Not Showing: BERSERK The Golden Arc II: Battle for Doldrey

I thought it will be 4 months, but unfortunately, it took me 7 months to get a glimpse of this magnificent part of the series. I just watched the movie with clear home copy with almost accurate subs, but damn before I watched it, I rewind a particular scene and see it all over again many times in a day. 

That scene, I know it's not accurate or did not really show in the TV series or Manga, but that I can say, made him my fave anime idol of all, always! =)

Anyway, yeah after that short Golden Arc 1, you'll go of course to part 2 which is Battle for Doldrey. It's longer and I can say better!

There were some not so good parts in the flick. Let's say as a fan of the series, of course, you will see a lot of misses. One, they missed a lot of characters which I know it's not really important but I believe they shouldn't remove it because it's integral to the story. Like Samson which he's not there, the queen b*tch and her cohorts who tried to kill Griffith, and some parts of the story as well, especially the first time that Guts and Caska really have feelings each other. Not there well, it will show at part 3 as trailer suggests.

And yes, as much I love how Guts killed General Boscogne, I missed that real reason why he was able to kill that General. It's not there. 

Meaning, those major flaws as much I missed them, really I felt they could have insert those parts or scenes in this flick. For me, they were important because it will show the wholeness of story, it will not only show Guts story but the whole band of hawk story. But for me, after all the action and grotesque scenes, I'm quite happy with the turnout. I accepted that they maybe don't have not only funds even it's produced by Warner Bros. Japan but also, time constraints and yeah, they want to see if this will earn so they will make more of the following arcs.

I hope the following once even they might omit again some characters or side stories, I hope they don't omit the major characters or even entities or maybe the violent scenes or situations. They can lessen the violent and controversial themes but not the whole dark fantasy concept. 

Cut the crap, let's go to what I'm saying earlier, why its magnificent? Better than the first one? 

One, the animation is more fluid, less choppy sequence which you will determine it's 3D or not. Detailed animation especially those fight scenes and warzone scenes. Even the story is fast paced, the animation is not rushed, although not really good looking because of the mixture of technique but its fun to watch!

Two, voice acting is superb, I mean from the original anime until this movie, never fails. I love the actor who voiced General Boscogne and Governor Gennon, you can sense that they are indeed the bad guys. Gennon is more out in this flick than in the anime. hehe Band of Hawk, King, Charlotte, and even the talkative Adon really shown some voice acting chops. Not bad. Even the script/dialogue, not really great but this one fit for this series. 

Three, Music! They emphasis like this is medieval period, some kind of old english period, so the music used in this one, fits with all the classical arrangement they used even to my fave scene, great!

Lastly, great, magnificent, fantastic action scenes that this flick simply put in one of my fave anime movies or any anime. I mean it made the TV series lame! Even I love the series, but this one, since this is a movie, a not constritive rating, hell with censorship.. Blood, gore, dark theme, and action simply in tune for this movie. This is where they did good of having adapting the material in the right way. That's why even they omit some events or characters, as long the major and important parts of the story still there, why would not like this flick? From the scene how Guts became century killer, I love the shot there where he was tired and in slow motion became enraged and sliced them all! Expect a lot of chopped, flying bodies!!! hehe The battle for Doldrey of course, I mean, in detail from the first attack of Midland, until the attack of Band of Hawk, it's really a complete package of war in medieval times especially with war tactics or art of war. 

Yes, my fave scene there is Guts vs. General Boscogne, before that it showed how really strong Boscogne is.. From there until he was killed, one glorious sequence! Everytime I remember that, damn I want to watch it again and again. hehe

Bonus one!!! Yeah, it doesn't mean when they omit a lot of characters, they really omit a lot.. I was suprised that there is a scene that shows hmmmm I think they will go all the way if they earn in this flicks. I was shocked that yeah, I'm hoping they do this all the way. Just don't make like the last one will be the 3rd. Damn!!!!!

Yes, the teaser trailer and I saw the whole trailer for Descent which I can say, all will agree, it will be sad, depressing, damned, bloody, scary and most of all, the time we were waiting for, the transformation of both Guts and Griffith. Especially our beloved hero Guts!

Then maybe a glimpse of the real Blackswordsman. Yeah! Ah another thing I was shocked at the trailer, there is one shot that even know I'm thinking, it didn't happen in the Manga or even in the series, although I researched they are really enemies but I don't recall they fought there! hehe Gotta find out. 

As batman trilogy closes, Warner Bros. Japan has its own trilogy, this one. Until now, gotta say they've done a wonderful job of recreating even in a fast pace and indeed a bloody one! I hope and pray that Descent, please.. Won't be the last!

Kudos yeah to Studio 4C, Warner Bros. Japan for well, they earned a lot from Kenshin live action, and I hope they did well here. 

As much I like the series of Rurouni Kenshin.. or even Himura (actually my fave is his master. hehe)

He can't defeat Guts, even Guts in his band of hawk form, or even a wounded Guts.. Not a chance if Guts in the great blackswordsman form with/without the berserker armor..

Almost gone: Toys

Xmas season, even birthdays or any occassions that involves gift giving eh lalo na kung ang bibigyan mo eh bata.. Number one choice is toys! I love toys, who doesn't? Lalo na kung bata.. Naku, lalaruin ng matagal yan o malas lang eh kung masira agad sa sobrang gamit. hehe 

But sad thing to see, with the dawn of smartphones, tablets or computer games, PC or console gaming eh parang mahina na o sobrang hina na ng toy sales. Alam ko yun may mga toys eh yun mga collectors, from old toys to new toy editions like Star Wars, superheroes and stuff. 

I can see still toy stores but di naman napupuno unlike my childhood years na grabe, everyday when I visit a toy store eh napakadaming bata nagpapakamatay, o minsan nagdradrama ng sobra para lang bilan ng laruan. 

Ngayon, mukhang kids want something touchscreen, or worse Ipad. Geez. hehe Paano pa kaya yun board games or traditional games, parang wala na masyado gumagawa. Although yun mga may di kaya, dun na lang nareresort or pc rental na lang kasi mura per hour ngayon. 15 pesos! hehe

Di pa kasama ang FB and the apps, even adults like me drawn to that stuff. hehe Having a toy for me eh malaking tulong sa bata, una sa lahat eh maganda sa toy real yun interaction to his thinking. I mean, yeah apps or computer games can do that as well, pero yun imagination or thinking outside the box, mas nabibigay ng toys kasi nahahawakan at nafeel nung bata. Like for example, eh teddy bear, I mean ipads cannot duplicate the softness and feel the teddy bear. Would you mind holding that dork in your sleep? No! Real one can do that. hehe Or for ladies, Barbie! Sa pamangkin ko, kahit may Ipad4 na eh she prefers doing kikay stuff sa barbie doll. Kahit may mga laro na sa apps to fix yourself, or dress yourself kind of game, in the end.. Mas maganda yun real toy. Dapat nga mura na lang sila ngayon eh, unlike dati, papabili ka pa sa states para sa mga magandang laruan! hehe

Second is yun traditional games or yun games na may kasama ka, foster friendship or competition real time, unlike yun network games, kahit ako naglalaro minsan kakabagot din ha. Kahit may kalaban ka sa kabilang computer di mo naman nakikita or kahit may webcam well.. Iba eh pagnakikita mo yun kalaban mo o team mate sa harap mo, playing against each other and knowing human emotions better than the virtual ones. At excercise din naman siya. Network games, kakaexcercise din, nang daliri at utak. hehe Yun traditional games or sports, lahat! =)

Pero good thing, di naman mawawala ito, I don't think in a lifetime kasi sa infant and childhood years, I prefer them playing real toys than well computer simulated games. Do other activities that can help you a lot and excercise like my Dad always says which di ko lagi sinusunod. hehe 

More than that, it excercises responses and it helps the kid move around in the environment unlike sitting for what, an hour? 

Toys really give real joy, at least for that kid's playful mind in a mean time. =)

Friday I'm in Love!

After I finished sending some texts today, I feel quite happy. Friday is really a special day of the week. Sounds like one of the favorite songs from The Cure, which I do, I don't know when I started it but oh well maybe its the end of a stressful week. Other people knows that Friday is the end of a work week, for most work. Its the day that after work, you spend time to enjoy life or simply enjoy rest. 

For me, as far I can remember, I enjoy Friday for a variety of reasons. Not only it's the end of a work week but also looking forward of doing my usual stuff, my hobbies after work or simply go around and meet my friends if possible. Friday I think was the day I graduated from College, just tell if I'm wrong. hehe Ah Friday also gives me the rush of love.. I know you should feel love everyday to the people around you, but yeah Friday is quite special. Friday is the day I do most work to avoid piling up work on my restdays, but I'm not feeling tired. 

Friday is the day that I play on my playlist all the chillout sounds.. That makes me feel lite and free.. Friday I feel I'm good at work because I want to finish it as soon as possible and get out from it. 

Friday is about greeting my family and friends. I feel that Friday is the lightest I have in a week, yeah you can count on Sunday but for me it's Friday. Except if you have bank errands and Friday is a payday, it will be a long day! hehe

Yeah, even I'm quite sad or down in a Friday, I don't feel so. The feeling will go back at weekend but Friday seems I don't have worries. Friday was the day I still remember before, where great parties happened or dates. =) Friday was the day I got an answer from a special someone. 

After all the Friday's that I wish it happens everyday, I can't help that yeah the reason why I'm sending these inspirational texts or happy quotes in Friday because I feel love in this day. So blessed and looking optimistic for the following days, weeks or even a month. These days flies so fast that I just count maybe 2 Fridays and I'm shocked that I forget something important to do. 

So for those receiving these quotes or text in a Friday, that's how I feel. I don't need a reply or something unlike before.. But I'm just thankful for every Friday it pass. I also thank Him for that. hehe By the way, I want to thank for those who sent some replies with great quotes as well because I pass it..

Mommy Gert

Well, her name is very unique that the only person I know who has the same name, is her. Gertie, hmmmm The only other person or character used this name, one was a animated dinosaur around black and white age. I'll research on that later. hehe Other one, was in the movie Moon but the spelling of that name if I'm not mistaken, Gerty. Not pronounced as well Gertie. 

Perceived as others na maganda siya, paano kasi she really takes time to dress herself, kahit sa suki lang siya pupunta. hehe At she chooses the right clothes up to the accessories din. I hope namana ko sana yun kaputian niya. hehe 

Most of my friends, siya yun second na kinakamusta after me, maybe because pagpumupunta sa bahay namin, at siya nandoon, very welcome siya at nagaasikaso sa guest. Lalo na pagnapaparty ako sa bahay dati, naku parang di siya napapagod. Eh lalo na sa pagluluto niya, aba yun kanyang mouth watering, ever tasty recipe na russian salad. Nadiscover ko lang yun name sa Conti's with a hefty price tag but they say, Mom's version is better. hahaha Maybe I should that recipe, kahit yun lang alam ko. 

Di lang yun, aba marami pa siyang recipes na talagang sabi ko sa kanya she can join the pinoy masterchef contest and try if she can go until the finals. Sa dami niyang alam sa pagluluto, alam niyo naman result nito. 5 overweight and healthy siblings. hehe Sa kanya ko din namana yun very metikuloso sa paglilinis sa bahay. O kahit maayos sa gamit, which di naman lahat naayos ko sa kwarto. hehe Pero well, sometimes she still does the work or even wash clothes kahit sabihan ko na wag na but one day, ayun naglaba na. Of course, di lang naman ako kain ng kain di ba, natuto din ako sa kanya mamalengke at the very young age, around 10 or 11 ba. Basta, dati every morning punta ko sa Muñoz Market para lang mamalengke, kahit ilang kilo pa dalin ko pauwi, ako na! hehe

I can also say, na di siya pwede all the time sa bahay. Very active going out either with friends or relatives or some errands. 

On top of that, she's a very loving Mom that I can be proud of. Especially noong nasa skul pa ko, siya yun pumupunta sa meetings or kuhunan ng cards or event na pwede siya. Until I graduated college, she's there smiling and proud na tapos na ko ng skul.

Siyempre di naman nagtatapos dun, after years of working, and yes, difficulties coming left and right, back and forth eh she is still strong despite this broken situation. I honestly say that even she's not the Mom that I thought to be, I still love her. Despite some disagreements o kahit yun tampuhan eh sa huli, kami eh tuloy pa din yun pagsupport at pagtulong sa kanya. Even at times, that I'm alone, which is parang all the time. hehe Naiisip ko yun memories na maliit ako tapos sinasamahan ko siya wherever she goes! I remember noong sinamahan niya ko sa Uncle bob Children's Club show nung maliit pa ko, aba she's cheering out for me at a certain contest tapos after 10 seconds, talo ako! hehe Pero sabi niya after that, ok lang yun.. May next time. We ate outside na after that. I did not feel I lost that game or enjoying that day with that show but important is, Mom is there for me, loving and encouraging me that move on after that. 

I know it's impossible for having them together because of such complex issues pero I do understand her part but I hope, she'll learn to forgive and move forward. Think other things that really gives her happiness other than tangible things or money perhaps. Great thing for her, lagi siya nagdadasal at gumagawa ng paraan not only for her, but always kasama kami kahit di na kailangan. 

Important is we, the siblings are always here to love her, and give her a feeling that she's our best mom! =)

For me, despite sa mga nagawa niya sa kin o yeah sometimes I can say I was hurt by her.. But now, and how long I'll live.. I always love my Mom. I already forgive her and I want to thank God, for giving us a Mom who is this strong willed and thoughtful as always. Forgive us as well po if we have shortcomings, a lot. hehe Lalo na po sa kin, kaya sana at alam ko na napatawad niyo na ko, at di kayo magsasawa magmahal sa min. Thanks for your love. =) Sorry pala din. hehe

How thoughtful, well hanggang ngayon tinatanong niya kung ano oras pasok ko, san ako and ingat sa paguwi and sorts. hehe Even I thought she can leave me alone but I feel that's how Mom's role to her kids.

QA - Quality Assurance is the meaning of this two letters. It is defined checking quality of your work or call. Of course, the people behind it are called QA specialist, QA supervisor, QA team member or simply QA. They are not your friends when it comes to work. They will be your gatekeepers, your enemies and yes, they will say it's time to go. Although that's the case before, now their responsibility comes down to simply reminding us to keep up the scores. They also assigned to do calibrations of process and coaching to agents. As one of my previous OM says, it's the most boring job in the company. How can't I agree? All you do is to listen to calls of all the agents you are assigned to and evaluate them. Not only that, you will also do some reports and well, scold some agents for poor work. hehe But I love that role, well but the problem is you will not have that many friends in the production floor especially if you're kinda strict. However, as an agent, you need to check this metric.. Because if you don't or you've been careless about your QA scores (some of the centers have QA and NPS seperately), then be worried about staying in your job. 

NPS - Net promoter score. A new way of checking how the company really connects to customers by having a scoring system involving promoting the company to others because of the outstanding services they got. Or should I say, for better wording, customer experience! hehe Anyway, this new metric that it used now by almost all big companies are sweeping the industry because of its complexity. I mean, why score people who will say I love this company because of great service, I'll promote this to my family and friends which most of the time not true. Definitely, I believe, this metric won't really convert like those companies believe sales or expanding business to new customers but this. With harsh financial times and competitors doing great marketing strategies other than customer service make this metric simply unbelievable. In fact, for call centers, this metric will be a burden in the future. Remember, this metric is right minus wrong. For example, you get a score a positive 100 in one call but you got a total average of -100 for 3 calls, it's negative score in your NPS and you will need a lot calls to catch up and make it positive. Sad to say for those negative calls even it's not your direct fault why the customer felt that way, unlike QA you can dispute it, this one.. No dispute, it's final. =(

Open door/Open book/transparent policy - Meaning, the center has this policy that you can say whatever you want to say directly to the higher ups. Well, it rarely happens something happened from above doing this as a reaction to a certain problem. But well, because of the diversify nature of this industry and the needed efficiency of the business, they have this. 

Higher management - These are the positions that well, manage all down under. Like director, SOM, Call Center manager, Account manager, CEO, CFO, or sounds something executive in the position title, they have authority and they rule. But nice thing about the industry, you can call them just the first name or nickname, or just call them like I do, Boss and then name. hehe 

Workforce management/Resource center team - This is the team who responsible checking the headcount of the center. This where all kind of reports are generated from AHT, absenteeism, tardiness, QA, VL, SL and other stuff that the higher ups wants to see. They are also who reminds that if you're in a long call or if you want to set up auxes or meetings and yes, breaks as well. They give you the schedules for your work and determine what schedule you'll be working with. 

HR/Human Resources/Employee relations - This is one of the integral parts in a center or any business perhaps. HR department. They are the ones who release payroll, disputes in payroll, plotting of VL which now you need a reason to rest!! SL, sanctions, performance appraisal, parties to set up, rewards and recognition and a lot more they do. Geez, ah I remember if a lot of agents visiting HR everyday, meaning the company is not really good. I just realized that. They also execute policies or mostly admin work, especially processing loans from government or private banks. They can be your helper or worse, tormentors especially if they lack of competent people. hehe Ah don't forget, they also the ones who screen the newbies, like hiring/recruitment.

The Account -  Of course, this might be long.hehe But nah I'll give a simple explanation of this. A BPO/call center cannot work without the account. The account meaning it can be a US which is the most stressful kind of customers you'll have.. UK! A great account because of their pleasant accent and intellectual customers. Just be careful how you sound and 2 accents that until now, I can't understand. Scottish and Welsh. Bloody hell. hehe

Australian which for me, the easiest to work with, the understandable accent they have and just as intellectual like the British but can be harsh or if you're lucky, racist. But not all of them of course, around 5%-10% of my calls are quite hard to deal with. But definitely, they're fun to talk with. 

The account can be a telecommunications from mobile, landline, internet or even TV services, financial services like banks, IT services like computer after sales service or troubleshooting help, sales of certain products or services, hotel reservations, online reservations, even online gambling and a lot more I can say that can be outsourced here. For a detail account of it, check the next chapters later. 

One tip for newbies, just grab an opportunity to work in any account to see if you really feel working in this industry or to the said account. Just enjoy working one and if you feel stagnant or stressed, there is a lot outside. hehe

Tip for veterans, just avoid US accounts. Even the pay is really enticing and huge, but now, the stress and health concerns about working into it are not really rewarding. Better find a dayshift or midshift, and yes, avoid telco accounts. That's a truth! hehe


For now, I know I missed a lot terms to write here but at least I covered around 50% of it according to what I've experienced. 

The next ones will show what I've experienced and yes, places/companies that I can recommend  or rant as well or even what I heard about them. Just wait for the next chapters, they are quite revealing. =)

January well, after that January in 2011, and yes in 2012, seems to be unlucky. Sana this time, ok na di ba? Di na alat! hehe Anyway, for this month after all the celebrations last year or kahit nung December eh moving forward. Time to act! One by one. 

For this month, I'm sure that I have less posts  pero more time to other things. hehe Pag sumubra edi ok lang. I think I'll write more creative stuff, I hope if I have time at yeah, I believe 10 will be the last number ng posts. I can't lower it or else wala na to, or more pa kung kaya ko and it depends what goes in my mind. 

But for now, I just need to focus siyempre sa work to stay put sa work. hehe At some little things I want to enjoy, lalo na ang tablet na pinaayos na sana wag na magloko. At sana mabalik ko na yun weekly filmfest ko!!! 

And yeah, make this month more happy than unlucky unlike those years. 

What else, hmmm iba talaga pag limited ang resources, hehe Pero madadaan yan to other things, or work that improves me kung baga. Ah! I hope either ROS or Alaska will go to the finals, at sana makapanood ng live! hehe ROS sana kasi once nagfinals, they can be champs, Alaska well, they need to win 2 more games to go on sa finals but for me, ok na yun run nila, TNT not only relied with their talent and experience, they have also their breaks and good luck. hehe

For this month, I may go into personal stuff or yeah, but I just want to show it. =)
