Not Showing: TAG (Sion Sono film)

Tagalog naman. hahaha Saka ibang style naman for this film para madali. Grabe kapapanood  ko lang ng Yakuza Apocalypse, eto naman.. Gritty yet crappy film! haha Nung first trailer na lumabas ito, grabe naexcite ako! Siyempre Triendl Reina running for her life tapos other chicks and Sion Sono film? Why not! Mahintay nga. hahaha Naisip ko sana ipalabas dito.
89 mins later. WTF! Di ako makapaniwala na ganun pala.. Ganun kalala yun film. hahaha Ok na yun first 20 mins pero nung bumabagal na at ano ano na sinasabi nung mga characters... Bwisit, ano na naman ito? hahaha I don't know what Sion Sono thought of making the film confusing na pwede naman simplehan di ba. The worst part of the film talaga was the screenplay. Grabe, as you want to know why all these things happen, eh lalo lumalayo ka at napapatanong kung bakit ko pa pinanood ito. hehe Dialogue doesn't make sense, ang may silbi lang eh yun sinasabi ni Triendl Reina. 

Another thing, sayang yun ibang stars na nasa film, namely Saito Takumi and Shinoda Mariko. Si Mano Erina, forget it. hehe Sana di na nagpalit si Triendl Reina ng face at the succeding scenes. Bwisit talaga. Sayang yun effort nila at sana ibang role na lang sila. Another thing that made the film bad, some scenes, just did not work. Lalo na as the ending comes, I thought, I just want to end it. Not interesting or exciting unlike the first minutes. 

Well not all bad naman yun film. Ok yun setting na ginawa ni Sono dito. Give credit to editing na kahit sobrang gulo at nakakabad trip yun story, galing pa din na di nakakahilo yun pagkaedit. Maganda yun mga running shots dito, mafeeel mo din yun rush at yun pagod. hehe At ang pinakagusto ko part, yun first minutes talaga, the shock, gore and thrill factor all in one. Lalo na yun part na nagwawala na yun mga teachers. hehe Ah don't forget the skin shots. hahaha Yes, give credit to Triendl Reina. Galing niya dito saka she can act. Hirap yun ginawa niya dito, lalo na yun first scenes. Magaling siya at may future!

I think Sion Sono really fast paced making this film. I mean kung may target ka naman na 6 films to release this year, malamang may films ka paspasan mo na! hehe Lesson learned, ok yun may target pero sana naman, make all those films kung di kaya maganda, make it memorable. 

This one, not memorable, kukunin ko lang kasi it's Sion Sono. I hope this film is only one of his bad films done in a bad time. 

Yakuza Apocalypse or TAG? Hard to answer. Almost fail pareho eh. 

Hard to decide. hahaha I learned, I still continue to play TAG. 

In the film, I don't know why its called TAG anyway. Don't tell me it's because of the switches? 

Oh no. Kowaii... 

Jdrama: Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san

Sa haba ng title, maiksi lang ito at mabilis. hehe Paano ba naman kasi, 4 episodes and 19 mins each episode! Simply lang naman kasi ang story. New transferee na pangalan eh Koizumi-san, tapos eto si Yu na may girl crush, tinawag niya si Koizumi na nakapila sa isang ramen house. Yun lang, dun na nagsimula ang story nila. Si Koizumi eh kahit maganda, suplada at masungit. Nagiiba siya pag kumakain na ng Ramen. hehe

Well, kahit short and simple lang ang jdrama, nakakatuwa siya. Sana nga regular series siya or kahit papano, 30 mins ang bawat episode. It is surprising na this year, some jdramas are getting big budget cuts. Starting from Fuji TV. Starting of na short series and episodes like this. Ayun nakakatuwa siya kasi ang topic eh pinakafavorite ko na japanese food o kahit sino ata, Ramen! Grabe sa 4 na episodes, lahat ang sarap ng Ramen except yun episode two na maanghang. Bawal kasi ang maanghang sa akin. hahaha

Pinakafavorite ko na Ramen, yun first episode saka yun 3rd episode. Grabe, parang dapat di ako kakain ng ilang araw pagkatapos ko kumain ng mga Ramen na yun. Lalo na yun first episode na Ramen, di ko alam kung mauubos ko yun. hahaha Masyado ako nafocus sa Ramen. Yun lang kasi nagpaganda dito kahit ang bida eh si Hayari Akari. Grabe, di ko akalain na galing siya Momoiro Clover Z.. She doesn't look like one. I bet she sang yun kanta sa episodes. hahaha Basta ok siyang lead, saka may dating siya na itatagal sa industry after the idol group. 

Ok lang yun other stars dun, saka nakakatuwa yun fourth episode. Nagsama sama sila for the sake of Ramen. hahaha Kahit serious si Koizumi, may nakakatawa pa din na moments. Mas nakakatawa, yun ratings ng show, mataas for her timeslot. Mas mataas pa dun sa isang Fuji TV primetime jdrama na nagflop this year.

Pagkatapos nito, dalawa na lang! hahaha Mahahabol ko na yun mga post na kulang ko for the past, 3 months? Grabe... Hay ano ano kasi inabot ko malas sa computer, una DVD drive tapos sa huli, palit HDD na talaga. Ayun, eto mukhang bago ang computer ko. Ang bilis! hahaha Mamaya yun ultimate test.. Pirata!

I learned a lot at those times na parang ano na gagawin ko pag ayaw gumana ang pesteng computer ko. Dun ko natutunan na importante ang computer ko kaysa sa phone. Second close ang phone. hehe I mean in my material possesions. Grabe ang DOTA dati kasi nagsave pa ko para sure na aandar, pero sa bagong HDD, isang save lang at tuloy tuloy na ang laro! Ganun pala. Kaso kailangan ko magingat kasi seagate ito kaya yun rumors na madali ito masira eh malalaman na natin in the next years. hehe

Gulat ako, black WD HDD na ako, parang 2 years lang, nagloko na! Ganito na ba HDD these days or talagang kailangan ko na mag virus scan. hehe Or sinobra ko ang punishment sa HDD kasi naman sa download. hehe I can't tell but sana gumana pa siya as storage. 

Sana manalo USTe mamaya, paabutin naman ng game 3, sayang kasi punta nila sa unexpected finals. Well, hula ko naman is FEU from the start of the season talaga. Iba kasi nilalaro nila. Pero siyempre, never give up na may pusong USTe. Ang bilis naman ng panahon, December na! Akalain mo, sobrang bilis ng panahon this year. Nung first quarter sobrang bagal, pero after nun, ayun na. Napakabilis ata. 

About work, can't believe I'm performing well. Surviving pa. Saka ayun, malapit na regular for this month. Kahit may times talaga na parang kakatams na, ayun, performing pa din. I don't know why but I just don't want to lose in a way na dahil di ko lang ginagawa ang work ko. Pero grateful pa din ako sa work and now I'm planning smart and we'll see in the next 2-3 months. hehe

Ah, sana naman may tumalo sa GSW, di pwede yun maka 33 wins sila. Mga ambisyoso, tama na yun mga 20 wins. hehe Pero dapat may makatalo, kahit Philly pa yan, talunin nila yan! hahaha Ano pa, number one Alaska ko! Parang lumakas sila kahit same line up, same play, pero si the Beast, parang naging one option na siya. hehe Pero same play lang sa kanya. Sana tuloy tuloy na yan. Yun Ginebra, may himala ha. Parang natauhan na ata sila, maaga pa pero sana matalo sila! hehe

Ano pa, my wish for Christmas, sa kin na lang yun pero yun iba, makuha yun mga kailangan ko at yes, start na to achieve my small goals. Yun lang, happy na ko. Happy naman ako at I can say, very lucky this year. Despite some big losses..

I think that will make you stronger right? Oh siya makapaglaba nga muna. 

Prison School

I think I haven't done an anime review for a while or a long time. Anyway, what interest me in this anime was the simple premise, 5 dudes in an all girls school got imprisoned! Due to the all girls school change of heart and to be in line of these times, they thought of adding boys in their school. Then these 5 boys, as well, adolescense hormones rages, planned to peep into the girls bathroom..

But as they execute the plan, unfortunately, the so-called Underground Student Council discovered them and because of this raucous attempt, they were sentenced to be in jail at the own school prison for a month! Then the crazy attics of living thru hell begins! After watching those 12 frentic and crazy episodes, I must say, one of the best animes, or simply the best ecchi anime ever! It's borderline ecchi and well, soft porn. But seriously, despite the innuendos and visually stimulating images, sorry there is no ehem, that kind of scene. Let's say sexually charged scene. But the manga has, so I'll see and check the manga later!

The only problem in this anime was I hoped it was longer. Although yes, the consequences of their actions, I mean it has a simple story of just getting expelled right but they looked it complicated, which is fine. But I felt 12 episodes were short and they kinda edit some stuff from the manga which is normal, especially, if there were those scenes. But that's it, I hope they made it like 20 episodes or 15 but well, it's only 12. TV version, they will shorten it I guess it go down to 10 or 11 tops as I see it now.

Best parts! Damn, I can't believe the ladies here look great. I mean, in anime, lady characters sometimes it's typical ones but this anime, geez the ladies not only look great but also they catered all types of women that a guy wants. From sadistic, to prim and proper, to strict and a weird lady. But all of them, not only has great looks but how their roles were created. The only lady in the anime that I did not like, was Anzu because her screentime was short. That's it. But the rest, you can just stare and wonder.

The anime was beautifully drawn. Very glossy and near perfect, very clean to be exact. I mean without the story or just staring at it, I mean it's a rare in anime these days that every angle is perfectly drawn. I said that because some of the animes I saw these days, due to the existence of 3D or visual effects, sometimes they don't jive together. This one, they detailed every scene and drawn it perfectly. A rare indeed.

Another thing I liked in this anime,  even it has only 12 episodes, and one or two episodes was kinda bad.. All of the episodes are important in the story. There are only few moments that I hoped they skipped but most of them, it's important and made the story interesting to watch. Even the most serious guy in the story, the principal has its moments even he just kinda standing all the time. In the end, he's a big help. I just can't stop laughing thinking his role in this story. But anyway, yes, that's only one example of how important all of those characters in the story.

Another factor I loved in this one, since I said the episodes are all important, don't forget the whole cast! From the five dudes, Kiyoshi, Gakuto, Andre, Joe, and Shingo then the strict slave masters namely Mari, Hana and of course, may favorite Meiko!!! Then the other characters, Chiyo, Anzu, the Principal and even that laundry driver. Among the five dudes, may fave is gues who? At first I thought it's Shingo because of his cool attitude and looks but I don't betray my friends.. So I'll go to Gakuto! Damn, I can't believe what he has done in this anime.. It's all crazy sh*t  and his strategies until the end and I like his dialogues, very old fashioned yet modern. So it's Gakuto, Shingo, Kiyoshi, Andre and Joe in order. They really fit well together and yeah, I hope I can see them again in second season if there is.

Lastly and this is the defining factor that I love this series. I never laughed so hard before watching this. After watched those episodes, every episode has a defining scene that will make you laugh so hard! I rarely see an anime that will make you laugh very hard in one scene. Damn, this anime not only removes the stress or really escape your worries for a bit time, but it gives the best laughs. I don't know how the author was able to perfect the mixture of sex and comedy, but this one, geez give credit to him even they spliced it, geez.. One particular scene, the heads and tails one.. Damn I don't know if the dudes are lucky or whatever. =)

I hope for second season to push through and better be because the ladies there let's say more scary and yes, they more like b*tches that want to be punished! Anyway, I don't how they will make it but for the mean, I'll try to search the manga first. For the TV version, I'll just do a separate review for it. But they look almost the same but they spliced a lot from the anime version. Only one stands out is Mamoru Asana! Will there be a JAV version of this? hahaha

Gotta watch this, I'm telling you and especially for the anime fans. Male fans to be exact.

SPECTRE

Well, Dad loved it because of the luscious scenery all throughout the film. For me, I hope I could have used the free ticket to watch Popoy and Basha. hehe I'll tell you why, it's not what I hoped for. 
Everybody has high expectations for the film, after the very successful Skyfall, they or we expect if not better, a good follow up Bond film. 

After 2 and a half hours, I thought I almost watched a Quantum of Solace part 2. The better version of it yet a lot of lack. First miss of the film, or should I say, the weakest part... The dialogue/plot of this film. I mean, I hope the plot is at least half good of Skyfall or Casino Royale but it seems they rushed it. After Sam Mendes declared first that he'll back out of this film then changed mind, that affected this film. I'm not 100% correct but I felt that swift decision to go back did not help. Next time, producers shouldn't insist if the director doesn't want to do it again. It's like I'm watching Moonraker or Octopussy in a more visually appealing way. 

Another major flaw, Short times. Short time that menacing Batista screen time. Christoph Waltz as a major villain, even he done his best to act out, but I felt he came short. Short time for Belucci which it shouldn't be. hehe Short time for a marvelous aston martin car, one of the great looking cars shown in a bond film or any film. So, for short. They fell short. 

Enough of the short.. Third flaw, or last flaw, the last arc of the film, although it's good looking, I fell flat. I mean, I felt that when they went to this place, I knew I'm going to watch those Bond films like I mentioned above, the streotype bond flick that he visits the villain's HQ and bomb the place. Jeez, I knew it right. Even with good actors and effects, it became predictable and yes, until the last action scene, became Mission Impossible. Good job!

Of course, these are the factors why this film kinda saved it from being Quantum, by an inch. First, give credit to the editor and photographer who really made this film very fun to watch. The night chase, the first action scene and the film did not give me a feeling that is dragging. Although with the biggest flaws, the editing and photography, it's a saving grace. It's nice to watch this film. Another credit goes to the technically possible action scenes. You'll see why Daniel Craig kinda want to give up his role. Geez, he done a lot of action and running and driving and swimming. hahaha Swimming to ehem. Anyway, yeah the action scenes were great, like the one on one by bond and assassin. That was tight and good. 

Lastly, the cast ensembled for this film, despite the big flaws, they still done a wonderful job to make this film enjoy to watch unlike Quantum. Christoph Waltz is a great actor, I hope and I know he might be back because of what happened to him. I hope next time, he'll be back better for his character. I love how he deliver the lines and how he shows up every scene, except for that last scene. 
Ralph Fiennes is good, Naomi Harris this time has a short part but still good, fit as moneypenny. Batista's character I hoped that will show up at the final action scene. hehe Ben as Q, he got it, just don't change the dude, he's perfect for Q! I mean the main MI 6 characters really fit for their roles. 
Of course, Daniel Craig who despite less dramatic scenes this time, but he pushed a lot of action scenes for the whole film. Most of his scenes made sense and some of the time, it's thrilling, like the first scene. It's sad that how this film was made, it looks like and feels that indeed, Daniel made this film, as his final Bond film. I hope he'll do another one, just last one. But if not, that's fine, I'll put him in top 3 as James Bond. 

Lastly, the most important part... When the news broke out that Belucci and Seydoux will be one bond film, the first thing I said, Daniel Craig is the luckiest James Bond actor ever. I mean he got all the beautiful bond girls ever! He beat the crap out of Roger Moore and Sean Connery. Geez. Monica Belucci should have been a bond girl before but well, great thing she catched the last bus for being one. hahaha What a legendary beauty. 

Then you add Lea Seydoux who I can say, helped the film moving forward, looks stunning especially in that grey dress she wore. She looked like those classy women in black and white films. Very sophisticated and beautiful with those blue eyes. Another great thing, neither of them did not die! Good thing indeed. One of the best bond girls assembled in a bond film. 

I should stop right there. hehe Anyway, hmmmm after this film, I don't know what they will do again for James Bond. Strong speculations they may go to a black Bond or very young Bond. I mean Casino Royale is enough for a backstory right? 

If I'm the writer or director for Bond, I want Bond to be in a die hard situation. You know like he's doing a mission but he end up like doing other mission because of the situation. I don't know if they done that but that will be interesting. A young Bond will be fine as well. Black Bond, hmmm I don't see Bond as black, not because of the race, but he might end up like Black Dynamite. hahaha
Well, kudos for Daniel Craig for giving us a great montage of present Bond. 

By the way, that dude who said this film is a different beast to Skyfall. It is a different beast.

Great thing, I have a free ticket for this film. 250 bucks was quite much for this film.

Napagsama niya ang luma at bago, ang nakalipas at ang kinabukasan.. Naks, pagkatapos ng ilan taon, akalain mo magiging ganito na siya! Magandang business hub.. Iksihan natin to ha? 

EGS - Tama, may EGS dito at ang account ata nila eh parang newspaper. Di ko lang alam kung nandyan pa o naiba na. APAC siya dati at nung nagmerge, iba na. Medyo malayo siya sa cubao, parang P.Tuazon entrance na siya at malapit sa SM Cubao. Hmmmm basta kung puro US account, wag na. hehe

Telus - Isa sa pinakauna at lumang site na Telus. Parang surviving sites sila, pero masasabi ko matatag pa din sila. Telus ang account nila, so yun main canadian telco account ang hawak. Mabait ang  mga Canadian, pero well, geographically, mahirap sa Canada. Saka yun timezone, same sa US. Ang sikat sa Telus eh, libreng phone plan ata sa globe na di ko alam kung hanggang ngayon ok pa din sila. Ang sure ko lang, sobrang baba ng sweldo. hehe

VXI - Nakakagulat na may branch pala sila dito sa Cubao! hehe Ang alam ko lang eh may outbound sales account sila sa Makati at may ibang CS accounts. Alam ko Xoom eh nasa kanila. Baka mali din ako ng rinig. hehe Isa pa, wala ako alam kung paano sila magpasweldo or benefits.. Pero ang sure ko, ang rinig ko sa kanila, madali makapasok, at madali din makaalis. Alam na. hehe

AIG - Kahit natapos ang isa sa mga pinakamatinding financial meltdown sa kasaysayan, isa sila sa mga rason kung bakit nagkakaganito na ang US ngayon.. Buhay pa din sila. Nakakagulat pa, kala ko isa lang office nila sa Alabang, nadagdagan pa. Di ko lang sigurado kung sa Makati site nila eh tumatakbo pa. Para sa kin, ayoko ko lang pumunta diyan. Di dahil malaki sweldo o parang may pride ka pagnandiyan ka, iba lang yun image nila sa kin. Lalo nagiba tingin ko sa kanila nung mapanood ko yun documentary na yun.. Kalimutan na nga yan.

Accenture - Masasabi ko, ang laki ng site nila dito. Grabe, dalawang building at minsan magugulat ka na ACN pala halos lahat kasabay mo sa elevator. Well, sabihin na natin.. Ok sila. Ah wag na asahan yun mga pulis dito. hehe

Isa pa, eh sana sa laki ng space na mayrun sila eh ayusin nila yun hub. Pero siyempre wag naman gibain yun mga lumang building gaya ng Farmer's o Cubao X, yun ibang lugar naman dun. Ang dami pa lugar na pwede improve, gaya na lang nung bus terminal. Mailaw na nga dun, di naman magandang tignan. Sana ayusin at pagandahin nila yun lugar at sana mas malawak para sa mga nagdrive.. Grabe pag may concert o ibang ginagawa sa big dome, lintek na trapik!

Maganda kasi sa Cubao eh malapit lang sa lahat. Lalo ako na isang jeep lang mula sa bahay kaso matrapik sa mga dadaan. hehe Pag labas mo sa trabaho, nasa harap na ang commute, gimik, kain at iba pa. Maganda yun ginawa nila sa Gateway Tower, Gateway Mall, tapos yun paligid ng big dome, laki improvement di lang yun isetann. hehe Wag din kalimutan yun Manhattan malapit sa Yale! Sulit.. hehe Maayos at masaya naman dun, lalo na yun banchetto sa gabi. Grabe, sulit! Wag kalimutan pa ang cubao X! hahaha

Kaya masasabi ko eh, kahit papano, ang cubao eh di lang puntahan pang day off nila dong at day..

Kung hindi, para sa may mga class din na tao! Let's go to Cubao!
