Kung Ako'y Isang..

(football/soccer/futbol player)

May after tea session type games pa ang timang! hahaha Grabe basta I don't bother that paddle game. I tried to appreciate it pero it's just a waste of time at field na ginagamit nila. Masaya pa ata tumbang preso dun.

Another one which I don't like, sad to say is soccer. Yes, sometimes I just look to the score and ok, yun na yun.

Formation at yun attack lagi pero daming times na out yun bola, passing, punta sa kabila at long kicks, basta more boring time out of 90 minutes.

See, local pa kilala ko. International... Hmmmm ahhh.. Retired, Beckham!

Well, ah yun lang.

Ayoko to.

crushes: Ayase Haruka

As my admiration with Japan grows, the country, culture or even "kawaii" and some weird stuff they make, it all started when I'm watching tv shows, reading news and especially looking their films. Well, while watching one of the films, Ichi for example, a blind woman who has a particular deadly sword skills, I was just staring at this girl. She looks poorly dressed but she has that beautiful face in some scenes and shots.

After watching it, I searched google and I just shouted wow! She's the bomb! hahaha Then that's the time, I kinda addicted to watch her films, whatever role she is. I'm lucky to watch one at Eiga Sai in her FA role in happy flight. She played it fun and kinda dumb but she definitely can work as FA with that looks and radiant face.

Then some of her films despite supporting or leading role, I kinda followed and can't imagine that face of a real japanese beauty. Just the right tone skin plus round eyes with I think she has perfect lips and I love her in short hair like in the movie cyborg she. She looks good even less or without make up. Looks great in a kimono and she has that look of sophistication and demure if that's the right word. Her body? Simply perfectly curvy, perfect from her previous work as Gravure model! hahaha Great thing she did not go to well, the JAV route.  Compare other east asian or even some hollywood actresses,  I'll choose her!

Of course, she is not perfect. I mean acting wise, she needs to do more of mature roles. Besides she is getting old but thanks to her looks she can do young roles. But compare to her contemporaries like Hirosue, Nakama or even other younger actresses who can do much, she needs to improve her acting or get roles that will make her grow. Hmmm I just don't like the shape of her nose. I don't know why. hehe Another thing, actually this is  for all beautiful and great japanese actresses, they just need to learn english to get international stardom or success. I mean I'll put them than chinese or korean actresses who can speak english because they are more beautiful in the screen. For example Memoirs of a Geisha, other than Zhang Ziyi, I'll just put Haruka instead if she can only speak english. Geez.

For now, I just have a big crush of this lady. Interesting to see a beautiful actress on screen, even just staring and don't care what is she talking about. hahaha Beautiful..

As her name suggest, spring and distance, distant from others! =)

Eye of the Beholder

I haven't been in this place for a long time. A very long time.. Hmmm everything changed, a facade of the past still shows in the activity plaza. High street brands at the bottom then now at the second floor, food and electronics section come together. Lightning is great at night. My favorite CBTL branch still stands and a it is still a great place to chill or have a date with someone. Whatever date that you can think of perhaps. Surprisingly, the activity center became between bare an vibrant. I mean there are now few shops than before, due to the new buildings outside of this center. Vibrant because it has a new paint job, another great lighthing job and few people going around. Well it's Wednesday night so maybe that's the reason only few people roams around here. Traffic outside is still the same or maybe worse at the real rush hours.

The crowd never changed. There are the high society, koreans, simple people, executives and a lot of greens. They are the leaves and trees surrounding this place. Don't forget other nationals such as the caucasian dude passed by me. He returned and a bit lost.

How few people are here? I see more sales staff roaming than the crowd itself or maybe because I'm in a place where few pass by. While waiting for her, I'm thinking I just love staying at the south. Everything looks somewhat elegant yet not crowded or very expensive staying here. Except of course you need to take tricycle to just get out of a village. A lot patience due to the pathetic traffic you encounter everyday. Oh please just don't come here at holidays. It's traffic hell.

Everything is accessible, beautiful people and less flooding. Someday I'll see if I have chance staying here for a long time. Again..

3 ladies still thinking where to go and they went to my right including to a different group which has a kinda good looking lady foreigner. Yes, I love it here. Sight seeing fills my boredom. Maybe I should send a follow up text to her.

Anyway, as rainy season is now ongoing its getting itchy here because of flies. As much I love cold weather, I hate 3 things in this season, flies, strong rains and my dermatitis going back. In summer those are the only things I like because they are not happening.. Not a chance.

This is also the place I see rich people wear simple yet expensive clothing. You can see the brands at what they wear. Geez.. They do have a lot of money.

Another caucasian passed which I saw earlier, a different dude, seems lost as well.

Will she show up? Hmmmm I don't know yet. Oh yeah I use to see celebrities strolling around here but for today, I'm in a wrong day. Sundays definitely they'll show up. Don't be surprised when someone looks plain or naive, speaks great english.

Just minutes left and Im out of here. But it's a really refreshing going back to this place.

A vibrant place here in the south.

classics: Talking Heads Stop Making Sense

The only song I knew from Talking Heads is burning down the house. I have no idea about them and when I'm just searching in imdb.com about them and they have a film. Directed by Jonathan Demme of Silence of the Lambs, comes this wonderful rock concert film. Can you believe this was released as free in some film, I don't that's what imdb.com says. Fantastic free film.

The only thing I did not like or a minor flaw about this flick, was no backstage footages which most concert specials have. But I don't mind anyway about those backstage or backstory scenes, music matters.

What I love about this film was the pace of it. I mean it started slow and as the band is setting up and tuning, the sounds is getting better. Song after song, the energy is getting high, performance becoming great and you see the effort that this band do every song. Another thing, the less crowd shots. I mean I did not mind really the crowd, I'm just envy them watching this kind of concert of those days. You can see that Talking Heads made songs that not only was catchy but more of an art and poetic. I am surprised that David Byrne was that good of writing or creating songs. Don't forget the bass lady, and great drummer then you add the other members from rhythm and synths, with great back up singers which I saw already in 20 feet of stardom documentary. Without the crowd shots, the focus was at this band and I know already why they were one of the best bands.

Another of course, the band itself, how they sang the songs, especially thank you for sending an angel which was way better in this film than the original song. Psycho Killer, wow! Simply fantastic different style. Burning down the house, and This must be the place were really nostalgic, especially the latter which I thought I'm watching MTV. All other songs made impact and my favorite of all, Once in a lifetime. I can't believe that song is not only great but how they performed it. A lot of artistry and emotions. Great song, very ironic.  Don't forget the big suit worn in that concert. Kinda weird but fun. I want that!

Lastly, give credit to the Director and crew with special credit to David Byrne for the set up of the stage and even the lights used for the songs. Damn, if all rock concerts not really the same set up but just the vibe and energy they bring for each song, that concert is worth watching. Only few can do that these days, I can say the Killers, or Radiohead and some, but well, I know..

Stop making sense.

It's sad that this band did not really stay together long, a common stigma for those other great bands.

unplanned 56

Nasa gitna ng buwan at ako ay nagpapahinga. hahaha Nadelay yun pasok ng new work ko kaya salamat sa isang linggo eh nakapahinga ako kahit papano. Yun nga lang mukhang magigipit pa ata ako. hehe

Bukas eh mukhang may uuwing luhaan, na maaga, I did not expect na Spurs eh dominated ang series lalo't wala naman sila binago. Iba talaga yun Spurs, first time nanalo ng championship ang isang NBA team na puro european player. Di lang mga mahina european player ito, grabe eh all star team na to sa Europe. hahaha  Saan naman kaya dadalhin ni Lebron ang kanyang talents, well he can stay Miami or back to Cleveland. Or better yet, pwede muna sa Bora. hahaha

Maiksi yun ginawang ko broken lines, magandang simula to go back doing what I like at my spare time, doing scrappy literary works such as poems and sonnets, haikus or whatever. A good start.

I love this new room, where I spend my first days dito sa Tuazon, still remember watching home cable sa kwarto na to. Maybe I'll just stay here while I can.

Self study and the same time practice.

New work is a different field and unfortunately, different time. Great thing eh malapit lang. hahaha Kaya dapat lasapin ang pahinga, at higit sa lahat set everything in order first.

Sometimes, not all free things are good. hehe

Wala pa ko naiisip na topic for the remaining posts for this month. Hmmmmm I don't really like exert effort pa lalo na this month, para pahinga naman sa pagsulat kaso with this long post, kailangan ibalik na ang sigla sa pagsusulat.  Madali lang magisip for those topics, just need to save ones for the next month.

No offense sa pcnetmiles which siyempre the best pa din, kaso pag isa or two thou ang difference, kahit dalawang linggo shipping, I'll wait. hahaha Parang HDD lang naman yun naresearch ko. I'll check the other computer parts baka dito na din ako bumili.

Like I said, this month is birthday month, kaya tapos na ko, yun iba pa.

Nothing new to me, sa ngayon. hahaha

Makasulat nga ng letter for my TL muna. This is short. You know what it is.. =)

Wow, napahaba ata ang unplanned post ko, first time after many posts. Talagang on the spot talaga. Tama na muna dito. I need to stop at this spot.

classics: The Raid 2: Berandal

As a rookie cop, doing everything to not only finish the mission but also to survive was already a harsh ordeal. What more if you discovered that all your efforts will go to waste and there is a bigger problem to deal with it. It's sad but that's how the story goes in this epic sequel of one of a hell action movie!!!

At first, the story is simple but as go into the end, it became complex and you'll ask, how this story will end?

Let's put it this way, hmmmmm I watched it twice and although it has some flaws or goofs but that's very forgivable. I have only one minor problem in the future, the director said Raid 3 will start and end 3 hours before this movie ends. I don't know how he will do it but simply this is the end. Of course, you want to see Rama going back to his family alive and all the goons are freaking dead but if the ending suggests cut scene, that's fine.

However, like I said it has many minor flaws and some weird factors in the film but that's forgivable due to the major assets of the film that cover the shortcomings.

Here in my country, the title is simply The Raid 2. If you are going to ask me, if you need to watch Raid Redemption or Raid 1, after watching this one, I don't think you need to watch the first one.  Reason why? Well, first of the scenes of the film already discredit the first film. But of course, you need to watch the great first film, it's not bad but on how they made this film, I thought well, I don't think I need to watch it again.

Fantastic things for this flick that made it as a classic.. First thing camera used and photography are top notch. I mean, I don't know how they get close to such fight scenes, one great example. The toilet fight scene is kinda sick, how on earth they get such close shots of that fight. Another example is the taxi scene, which is short yet heart stopping, I don't know how they got the top shot of it. Those examples are only the small ones, better yet check the bigger scenes. Great use of the camera and yes, Red Camera used it perfectly.

Another great thing, the sound effects used in the film. I watched many martial arts or action films now and then, but I can't imagine how they got the perfect sound for every blow, bone crushes, the gore, guns blazing, the cars, the weapons used or even the musical score used. The sound is such perfectly done and it helped really give me thrills and shrieks, one great example.. The car chase scene! Until the last second of that scene, it's crazy and great. The fight chreography helped or the car racing but the sound really made it great.

One aspect also helped this film great is the actors. I mean most of the action films, few can really act and most of the actors fight. This one, has a great balance of ones who can act like the character Uco and Bangun and yeah the japanese actors. Mix it with great real martial artists but trained to act or the other way around. Iko Uwais I think already surpassed Tony Jaa and might be better if he start doing other kind of films. Then even the bosses, the old cop, Bejo is the rising crime lord which looks fashionable, Prakoso an unusual turn of having fighting and acting as the good henchman. Eka is also a surprise especially at the end. Actually all those characters you see in the poster done great job of acting for their roles. Don't forget which I'm surprised that they are siblings in the story, bat boy and hammer girl!

Second great part of the film, one of the sickiest, craziest, real fight scenes. I mean, it's usual for a martial arts film that some scenes where kinda planned or worse they put CGI already and sometimes they put it wrong. Here, I know it has choreo but I don't know how many times they practiced it but looks real to me. They said that to make real, they reduced speed and strength to really show the blows or pain in the film. Except of course for the knives, bat and the hammer. But seriously, from the first fight scene until the end, wow, kinda addictive. With the sound effects and other factors plus with great fight choreo, they show it in an awesome way. I think Silat martial arts are deadly than ours or it's the same level with other martial arts, but great thing arnis was used here. I'll put Silat maybe on top of Muay thai because of the punching and elbow techniques used, in close range, deadly sh*t. The second half of the film, simply martial arts epic madness. Kitchen is a great place to fight. Kidding. Oh I almost forgot, despite less gun use in the film, it's still great. I mean usual action flicks uses high grade guns, here they use simple ones, baretta and shot gun but it was used in a most practical and scary way. That car chase scene says it all.

Lastly, give credit to the screenplay and director which is one dude. Gareth Evans not the Godzilla guy, really made this film a classic. I mean, despite some flaws such as the snow scene, or the last factory scene which I'm surprised the dudes doesn't have guns. Or maybe the taxi chase which they can just use a gun to kill Rama but they did not use it for martial arts purposes. I don't know the reason but the director was able to create adrenaline to really forget those mistakes and just watch the film. I did not feel bore despite it has drama scenes and it's two and a half hours long! Wow.. Few films can do such feeling of forgetting the passage of time. He's damn great and I only hope two things like other upcoming directors should do. Do other genre or flicks with such style and another thing for this dude. If bourne is like this, that will be great! This director should do Bourne or James Bond or other action franchises. He can do it anyway in a small budget. It looks big budgeted film, but well it's small budget. Especially the first film which he admitted the reason he done the first film other than this one, due to budget constraints. Wow..

I wonder, when you look the scenary of the film, I thought it's in the Philippines, well with the same taxi cars or even eatery and the looks of the actors, we have more good looking actors or better acting but unfortunately, we don't have really martial artist actor that can somewhat do the same. Or even match what the Thais are doing. Geez, we are so behind.

But well, can't wait for the home release and I really love that fighting pose in the kitchen scene. Some what iconic.

I watched it despite poor dubbing, delayed release by 2 weeks and more cuts than the director did already. It means the true cut is epic!

Simply this film made some of the classic martial arts and action flicks became basic or forgotten, crappy, whatever.. Or even most recent flicks.

Oh don't forget Rama is kinda lucky and strong. Iconic character. Will do everything for his family. One undercover cop against everyone, The Raid indeed..

By the way, just got the real copy, can't believe from start to finish, it has a lot of cuts!!!! Dubbing is correct, sync with subs and with the cuts.. Instant classic!!! It's like Mad Max 2, you'll forget there was a first one!

broken lines (collection 45)

In a lonely place, I find peace, order..
Such emptiness surrounds inside and out.
Defining silence whirls into my ears,
my eyes see darkness that raise my strong fears.
Questions building up about such presence.
No answers found after searching essence.

In this abyss, maybe I can lift up!
Worries, frustrations, anger and despair.
A dark side of me, beaten to a pulp.
Degree of separation excites me.
A ray of light shines after detachment.
Opened my eyes, still in a lonely place..
