TRON Legacy

When I saw Akihiro Sato or Jake Cuenca in that new Master commercial, geez.. Maybe their face should have covered black anyway. hehe Because they fit to become Tron, in TRON Legacy which quite surprising, doesn't show his face, in most of his parts.. By the way, commercial looks great at least for attempting the looks of TRON Legacy.

After the 2:30pm shift last December, I rushed to the IMAX theater at SM North to witness, the remake ah yes sequel to the movie that I loved when I was well, before teen.. I will explain later why I called it remake/sequel. hehe

After I saw the trailers, the posters or storyboards, I mark it at my to do list or important to do last year, I should definitely watch this film..

I was amazed.

The film starts where well, a dude who is the son of the original dude ah sorry, Kevin Flynn, the owner of the software giant went missing already for 20 years, is ruining the stockholders meeting, and yes, he was visited by his friend's dad.

He was informed that his friend's dad, well received a page from the arcade store which his dad owned before. The dude went to the store and found his dad's secret room and yes a portal to the GRIDD. Unfortunately, he was teleported to it and yes, it looks like ours. Except that the people he is seeing there are like humans but they are called programs.

He was brought to a place which has a head master called Clu which looks like his dad. Unfortunately, it was not his dad. It was the bad alter ego which looking for the original Kevin Flynn, something to do with the disc he has. So, Sam, the son has no choice but to battle in the disc wars, killing freeze bee.. He was good but thought of escaping it because of fear getting killed.

He went down and yes, lightcyle fight!!! It was divided to 2 teams and yes when Clu joined the team and try to kill Sam, the chick a.k.a Quorra arrives! Wow.. Damn chick. hehe She saves him and yes, escapes to a lone world which there was a house which the GRID can't find.. It is the house of the Original Dude!! Kevin Flynn, who is like a zen master.. Simple robe and just meditating.

He told the reason why he came back to the GRID and he just stuck there for a long time. Cannot go back because of the forces of Clu.. And the hero TRON also I forgot now with CLU, mind control perhaps.

Like father, but not his son, well, went to find the historian of the GRID to locate the place which has a power to comeback to the original world. Which is under the name of zuse (I thought it was Zeus). Then, yes, Sam did find Zuse only to be trapped by CLU and got the disc from his dad, because well Kevin came to the scene to rescue the son but Quorra got hurt. (Damn!) hehe

Father and Son escape, Zuse was double crossed by CLU, and CLU's plan is to get the disc of the originator and go to the place of the power source to go through the human world and conquer it!

However, the son is quite stubbor, able to get the disc, go to the power source with his pops and there, they were followed by the CLU's gang! Ah yes, Quorra's left arm returned in no time because she is a special being which Kevin discussed, a miracle he saw in the GRIDD. Self healing humans! =)

Well, unfortunately they fought with CLU and yes, TRON was lost and Sam and Quorra got back, Kevin and CLU died after the final explosion.

It ends that Quorra became a human, a hot chick and travels with Sam in a simple autumn morning. Cut!

Yes, the only biggest flaw of the movie is the story line. Damn, they should make it complicated or what but yes, it was simple and surprisingly, I loved the movie! hehe

The story somehow they should have made it challenging or like inception but not that complicated. hehe I mean, they did answer some questions but they should like make it interesting. The story is like the Matrix part 1, the only difference is well the world did not end bad the world we have is a program. hehe

Some flaws maybe pacing especially after the first half which has more dialogue than the first half. Second half well, has more dialogue than action scenes than the first part. Second part though has more stunning visuals but quite short.

And Sam Flynn's actor, they at least get a recognizable actor. They can get Sam Worthington or Robert Pattinson or how about Andrew Garfield, well at that time he is not famous but because of FB movie, he will become famous. Or just James Franco. That dude rocks! hehe But the Sam Flynn actor, geez, it's not even looks like Jeff Bridges. hehe

What else, hmmmm enough of the bad apples! Yehey. hehe

Here are the good apples. First of all, indeed I was pretty annoyed with the Academy or Golden globes, that this film was not nominated. I can't imagine that having the old Dude (Jeff Bridges, is the Dude in big lebowski) talking or doing a scene with a computer generated Jeff Bridges in one scene doesn't matter with them. I mean, the CLU dude doing his scenes alone is great, you can't tell his computer generated. How about his old self talking to you? That's marvelous in the own right! Damn.. The film also looks good in 3D. My 400 bucks is worth watching this than 350 bucks watching the Alice in damn wonderland. Great oh yes, Alice was nominated.

The scenes were astounding especially the title sequences, the footages of Jeff Bridges when his son was still young. The disc fights, the lightcycles, the set up of it, even the ships, wow! hehe And the one I like is the transformations, from the cycles and the one I really like, when the CLU's gang transforms to a jet. Damn awesome. My eyes and me got fascinated!

The actors, of course, without them, well, it's not worth of 400 bucks like Alice.. Of course, from let's say the TRON which did not speak in the movie, but how he looks and action sequences, another candidate for Cyber Ninja in MGS. hehe I think give the Sam Flynn credit dude a credit. Good thing. hehe The program soldiers, even CLU's right hand, funny. How about Martin Sheen as Zuse? He pulled off a Alex Delarge somewhat role but toned down in a Disney level. hehe It's short but great performance. Olivia Wilde? I'll never forget that chick. Quorra, at the time she is in a scene.. Oh christ.. I can't take my eyes off from her.. I don't care what she says.. hehe Her hair, the suit, the looks, damn good. =) If Raims fell in love to her, me too! hehe

The Dude! Well, no need for decription for Jeff Bridges, simply great performance.. Not award worthy but doing the role and transformed it after 20 years, simply great. Especially in his final scenes with CLU. Great dude! hehe

This film I called it remake/sequel, because the story itself, if you watched the first TRON, it was almost the same. Even the events, it's just the same, they only changed it the parts where the disc and light cycle fights and of course, there is no Jet at the first TRON. The sequel part, well, it is already set up especially the first parts of the film and the ending of course.

I forgot, Daft Punk can make movie soundtracks, just fit with the theme of the movie. Plus a cameo! without his face of course. hehe Music score in this movie, rocks, you can use it if you have dance parties! hehe

Another drawback well, it's a Disney drawback, the story I can say can go dark and complicated but unfortunately, since it's Disney, they want to have the kids watch it and GP crowd.. You can't blame Disney perhaps but yeah, kid's brand. Erghhh..

It was a great movie, definitely, one of the best for the last year. It was hard to choose between inception or TRON Legacy, I'll go for inception because it's original even it's very confusing..

However, that's the only advantage I can see versus TRON Legacy..

Cool movie.. Visually stunning and yes, I like this I guess than Avatar. hehe

A day of Red

Yes, it was a day of bloody red.. Even me I wore a red for our team theme of the day.

Indeed, a day of love.. Romance.. Passion or even yes, the day where couples be together on such a sweet day.

And yes, I am single.. =)

Happy? Well, I can say in a personal note yes, but in a relationship side, nah, I want to be with someone on that day.. I tried to invite somebody but oh well, this day is not for me. =(

Did I do something special that day? I can say, yes.. But I'll keep it secret.. Besides, they already got it..

I was quite envy for those messengers who bring a bouquet of flowers to some offices. Some not only flowers, but gifts! How sweet for those dudes. Or maybe they are sweet in Valentine's day.

It was a boring day for me, and I was busy after going work, well, went to the shop and as usual, do the usual grind..

If you are going to ask what love is... I cannot say it was.. Because love never ends.

Being in love means to me, well, I can say when I wake up in the morning inspired to do things, not only for me, or Him, family.. But the reason you wake up for someone, someone that makes you happy.. Someone that understands you.. Someone makes you smile even after a day of struggle or hard work, or like me, tired.. Someone depends on you and say thank you, love you..

Someone, makes my life worth living for.. Someone you want to be with every moment in your lives.. Your dear lives..

Someone simply makes you smile..

Geez, I wonder, who will that be?

It was her birthday 2 days ago. I can't believe that after a decade of being friends with her, still.... I haven't see her at person.. =)

Yes, I do.. I haven't see her even once at person. Imaginary friend? I don't think an imaginary friend can send you piaya sa bahay. hehe

Ang tagal na namin friends, actually we call each other Bes eh.. Best friends.. At first I can't believe it kasi oh well, sa tagal namin nagtext or tawag, well, sobrang tagal siyempre may mga time na nagaadvice or asking for help na din which ayun, nagtutulungan kami. Friends, hmmm doesn't mean not only to see each other and like helping out.. I know that some friends doesn't need na nakikita mo lagi, ang important is the communication between you.. Doesn't matter how far or gap between us, we just well, have fun talking and share each other lives..

Hmmmm she was introduced to me by my friend in college, text mates.. Naks, I was surprised na it was down south, not in LP or Para�aque, way down south. Bacolod! Hehe I have no clue what is that place. Well, what I know that time, near Cebu. But now, of course, the city of smiles and the famous maskara festival..

My friend well, di naka diskarte eh.. hehe Pero ayun, while for me naman, at that time, wala eh, kasi siyempre di ko pa nakikita saka ah!!! Pre com days yun so, I encountered number 8 and 7 pala.. Oh yes. Naalala ko pa nun, nun nabad trip ako nun, siya unang nakaalam nun. hehe

Then, yes, one of the reasons I survived my college life is her as well.. I mean from advices, yun diskarte lalo na sa girls, hehe and life after school na din. Pero more on advices siya eh. Saka sweet din ha! =)

If you are going to ask, are there efforts na magmeet? Of course! Kaso ayun, minamalas. hehe I mean, kung kailan nakaplano, di ako natuloy. Nung nandito siya for one day, di niya nasabi, nasabi niya nung umalis na siya. hehe

Ayos di ba... Then yeah, daan na lang sa net or letters or text na lang on how we communicate, sometimes calling her or she calls me..

It was fast 10 years.. Geez, caught me off guard but oh well, I never thought those 10 years with the same friendship I have from her..

Ah siyempre, may family na siya, and me? Nothing, same. hehe Yes, I can't believe her name, is indeed.. The title itself. =)

Parang pangalan pa lang, kampante na ko makausap siya. hehe Pero minsan hindi, kasi mainitin ang ulo. Joke Bes! hehe

Anyway, for now what I can say is I hope that everything will be Fine as sunshine as our friendship goes.. I hope it will last longer and yes, the only thing I wish is just to see her, even once. Para naman to thank her for the friendship and company as well.. And to see a lovely woman. Yes, you check naman sa FB ko, kung standards, malamang pasado na sa kin kaso yun lang. Di kami nagmeet dati, siguro naging kami pero nah.. Destiny dictates, best of friends lang kami. hehe

At kung naging kami, siguro marunong ako magbisaya. haha

I wish you luck Bes and take care always lalo na may family kana.. God bless always.. And I do really hope.. Just grant my wish to see you at least once, even in my lifetime.. Thanks for everything. Longer friendship.. =)

Opera and Chrome

Noong nabalik na ang computer at siyempre naisip ko kung ibalik ko na lahat ang nawala.. Programs! hehe

Pero to avoid happening again na magloko ang computer ko, nagbawas na ko ng programs. Kahit Warcraft 3 nga di na ko naginstall ulit. Grabe tagal na ko di naglalaro ng games sa computer. Warcraft for6 months, NBA for a year, parang more than pa! hehe

Siyempre, pang pirata stuff nabalik ko na, better bit lord pa.. MS office kailangan, lalo na sa letters and tarpau set up.. Zune di ko muna binalik.. Simula nung nanood na ko sa phone, tama na muna.. Siguro pag ayos na yun bagong computer ko, at orig na OS, ibalik ko ang Zune..

Of course, the most important program I use everyday or every time I use my computer, the internet browser!

Chrome siyempre di mawawala, ayun nainstall agad.. hehe The other one, I thought of mozilla but since ang daming niyang toolbar at nagloloko pa, I thought of other browser siguro. Nah, not internet explorer. hehe May isa pang browser na gusto ko dati. If you check my previous posts lalo na yun nasa Dell pa ko, dalawa ang browser na patok sa kin! Chrome and Opera! =)

Before Chrome was launched, I am using Opera, as per Ivan suggest which is more interactive and less downtime or latency than Mozilla.

I miss the speed dial which kinopya ng google chrome. hehe At yun 1 click login sa page na gusto mo. Like facebook or multiply.. You don't need to type the username or password again. hehe

Except for FB, kasi ewan ko kung bakit dun lang sa page siya di ganun. But anyway, ok naman siya.

When I got the new version, still the same pero more sleek siya ngayon ha. Mas inuuna ko siya binubuksan kaysa sa chrome. hehe Saka simple feeling pa din, kaunting click, ayun na sa web page nag gusto mo.

Now, iba na gamit ko for the two. Since Opera ay best sa "login sites", so ginagamit ko siya for FB, social sites, basta sa sites may login. Madali lang eh. hehe

Chrome is for other else, from imdb, nba/yahoo, youtube, magicthegathering, movie sites, or basta surfing, sa chrome naman ako nakakadepende, lalo na sa research. Type lang sa address bar na kailangan mo at aha! Yun na. hehe Google search na agad eh. At of course, sa chrome yun ibang sites na I want to check it out and see if safe. Pang pirata dito na din. hehe

Ngayon ko lang nafeel ulit yun sarap magbrowse and surf the internet at the best with these two browsers. At sana of course, magimprove sila in the feature.. =)

Without them, jeez sobrang di na ko maginternet kung aasa lang ako sa IE or lalo naman yun mozilla. hehe Great that there are 2 browsers that I can depend.. and really enjoy my time surfing the net.

I can't imagine using other browsers other than these two.. It depends if there will be a new browser that will combine them both! Which I thought, it won't happen. hehe

Besides, panget siguro ang name nun. hahaha

1 at 24/7

I wore the only free Jacket I got from this call center career yesterday and yes, I can't believe, I am now 1 year in this company! =)

Of course, at first it was not easy, as you check my previous posts.. Damn, I never thought I'll reach this long. hehe Nevertheless, now, yes I'm struggling with my stats especially that career threatning VOC, I can say oh well.. 1 year kinda worth it.

Friday was the time of this 1 year journey, and yes in our batch, we are 6 but might go down to 5, it depends to some of them might leave. Don't ask me who will be but definitely not me.. Yet. =)

It was fast, I mean, I thought 1 year in the dayshift sked will be slow than the usual vampire shift! I was wrong.... It is more fast paced and quite lively. Even well most of the time, quite boring but needs to do the job right. I still remember my first month, geez, I'm getting high AHT, then very not helpful stats, and I feel like, damn, after a year of hiatus of work, it did show some rust..

But as the months goes by, I showed what I can do and it did help the team, except for these past months. hehe I can say, maybe these past months, with all the things I do everyday, I'm in a funk.. =( Tired, pressured and sometimes depressed, but not that depressed..

Good thing at this time, or my stay with the team, of course, I only had one TL, and same team mates until now.. Geez I thought unlike in my Dell or my past call centers, I'm changing teams every quarter! hehe But this time, at least, I'm with the team for a year.. Quite changing I guess. Curious.

But I should thank this company, at least I have an extra income which helped me to pay junk of my obligations, and get my other things back in the fastest way.. I was able to help my parents as well, due to medicard. hehe

I can say, we had so many eat outs or team buildings, very engaging in terms of how to put or at least know each other better. Even I'm not that close to each of my team mates, but when I'm there at work, it is fun with them.. Working, doing our best to reach the stats and outlasting other teams, it is a team effort.. It did show last quarter or the 3rd quarter that we get our top prize for the best VOC team of the quarter.. We are going to celebrate that on Saturday! hehe

We had some ups and downs, but I know we will emerge in those difficulties.. Especially in this quarter. Damn. hehe

As for the company, I can say, oh well, even yes, they are paying more, but in other aspects, quite poor. I have many examples! But it will take 2 parts to tell them all.. And nah, they are in my friend's list. hehe

One of it is the jacket. Geez. Instead of the usual, wine and ham, or ham, or xmas basket.. We got a jacket.. And of course, I fitted the one I like, it ends up when I got the jacket, it was tight for me. hehe How about our team funds.. I can say, my TL sometimes shoulders the team buildings we do! Unlike in other centres which the department has funds for each team at least for these events, unfortunately.. They don't give it, regularly I guess. But that's why I like my TL, very generous for the team... =)

I know my TL is quite not close to me unlike my previous TL's but she gets the job done. More than that.. Thanks to her, I'm still here.. =)

How about SME's, Mitch and DP.. Great mentors that you will never have in other teams. hehe But yes, with their guidance and help, well, I was able to survive those grueling quarters.. Except for this quarter which I know everybody in our team is struggling. =( It is not their fault. However, there are still there to guide and help us.. Thanks guys. =)

The team, Mhon a.k.a Gary V., George Estregan Jr, and now Machete! hehe Great dude! Faye, great chick with hmmm good singing voice.. =) The platinum VOCer, Sassy.. The vets, Mommy Ness, Ann, friendly Sheila and the realtime analyst Chelo... hehe Almost vets, Cy, Marie, Airene, Kissen.. Rookie Jerome.. and of course, I doesn't mean I forget the other teams! Thanks to them as well! Other TL's, Garsh, Faye, Tam, AJ and Mars.. Naks.. Thanks for guidance, aux 1's and waiving the lpf's! hehe

The other teams as well. Thanks for the camaraderie.. And for being my customers as well! hehe Yes, because of them, I have extra income, extra money to invest to my little shop and extending my market! hehe

Do I have some problems with 24/7? Greatly, not HR or their TP (the so called timeclock and performance keeper crap. =).. Well, what I can advice are just 2 things.. Invest in one building only for all of us and yes, equipment as well.. Workstations, facilities, please.. They are important too, especially in coping the client's needs. That's all. hehe

To sum it up! Yes, Dell still the best but for the second place, it's 24/7.. =)

Will I go for 2? Let's see at 04/02/2012.

OST

I thought Reality Bites OST was the only movie soundtrack I'll love. hehe Thoughts are wrong. Well, my ears are wrong I guess. But anyway, as I watch movies or just streaming them, I found some notable soundtracks!

Besides Reality Bites, of course, there is I Know What You Did Last Summer! Pop flick yet the OST is quite alternative, great fit for the dark slasher movie. Just the first movie. hehe

Then, there is hmmmm High Fidelity, full american cast directed by a british dude named Stephen Frears which directed later, The Queen. Great movie about listing the exes yet falling in love.. Accompany with a good mixture of songs from Velvet Underground, Jack Black, and yes, Stevie Wonder. Especially the last song! Damn, very lovely!

British movies, some of them crap yet most of them have good OST. From of course, 24 hour party people, to Control, or Edgar Wright movies, Shaun and Hot Fuzz, Trainspotting! Then others, well, too many to mention lad.. But it is, as long it's british, expect great OST..

Then how about Brazil, which I haven't finished it. hehe But the sequences itself have interesting music, and of course, don't forget the theme music.. Great. Blade Runner, futuristic and orchestratic. =) Scarface, since it's 80's, then the sounds should be in the 80's! Even well, the story about the great fictional mobster. 80's sounds has influenced many movies, brat pack movies, to Romy and Michelle HS reunion and wedding singer! hehe Too many to mention as well..

Comedies, well, I already mentioned upfront some of them. Let's add, 50 first dates, Walk Hard! hehe

Stanley Kubrick movies! Notably, Clockwork Orange and 2001: Space Odyssey.. Actually if you really watch his films, I think he also sets the music fits for the scene. Damn, he is so great of directing a film, indeed a perfectionist.

Action flicks, well, not all of them has good OST, unless hmmm James Bond films? hehe Ah, of course, Kick Ass! and Scott Pilgrim if you consider that a whole action flick. Ah I forgot, the Matrix! Except for the last one.

Horror? Hmmm not many.. Maybe the musical scores are scary, like Jaws but songs, I don't think so. hehe

Love.. Love and love and some drama.. Love movies, it has I think the most number of good OST. Well, Reality Bites and High fidelity are good already.. Then, there is Somewhere in Time, which yes, it has only one musical score but oh dear, I cried. Especially at the last scene. =)

Well, there are many but 3 OST's I liked recently, from love flicks.. First, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I know the only notable song there is from Beck but come on, the scores there are great, quite clever and especially the "Row" track which it really puts a smile in my face when I see that scene with the track.. =) 500 days of summer, I can't believe that all the songs there are happy and upbeat.. Even the ending is really bittersweet, but yeah, almost all the songs there are upbeat and happy.. I still feel sorry for Tom.. I think we are quite the same.. hehe And Summer, let's see, if the one I thought resembles here will like the movie. Let her watch it..

And lastly, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World! Some of them written by Beck which are awesome! Then some of the songs, really fit the scene or how about the end song? Sweet and nostalgic. hehe Black sheep as well, damn great song from Scott's ex, I thought at first since I am not really updated with the music, it's from Metric. How dumbfounded I am. hehe But anyway, that OST is awesome..

Tron Legacy as well, no songs really but great musical score from Daft Punk!

And many OST I think I missed, and a movie I think best enjoy or you can say good as long it has great musical score that really entice you to keep watching and best of all.. Songs that will let you remember the film, even those bad films. hehe

Unfortunately, I don't have an example of a bad film with a good OST.. Hmmmmmm, I'll think about it first. Maybe Purple Rain? =)

unplanned 20

2 hours ago I felt dazed.. Geez.. Love month na nga. hehe

Kalimutan na nga ang Enero, naalala ko pa yun score ko last month. Well, wala naman magagawa si TL dun di ba? hehe Ayoko ko nga tignan. Di ako yun! Well, bilang na siguro araw ko pag di pa ko nakabawi. hehe

I am not sure my plans for tomorrow. Pero sure ako sa valentine's yihee... hehe Ayaw ata nila. Di bale, edi ibang style na lang siguro. =)

Gusto ko lang kasi maiba ang valentine's this year. I mean for the past years, it's almost mourning o nasa sulok lang ako, envious from the other couples. Crap! I hate it. hehe So this year maiba naman. Kung walang date, edi wala. =)

Anyway, nothing new naman, besides of getting back the pirate days! I should get more blank DVD's pa to keep the movies.

What else, yes! Reminding myself of doing or executing the plans for this year. Nakarecord siyempre, dapat di ko malimutan yun. Yun kasi kulang ko last year, dapat nasusulat na.. hehe

Gusto ko sana sumali this Sunday kaso, since I have no funds para sa piyesa kailangan ko, baka di na ko makasali.. =( Crap... Baka yun next week na lang siguro.

Kaasar lang, some women, doesn't have the time to at least be available on 14.. I mean.. Well.. Siguro, sa ibang araw nga, ayaw eh, yun pa kaya! Saka dami nga tao. hehe Labo no.. Well, di bale, I won't give up. =)

Ah, sa shop siyempre, may mga aayusin pa pero siguro more in the money side na lang. hehe Yun ibang problema, madali na yun..

Ah, ayun, since valentine's at siyempre minsan lost sa usapan, time to watch some Star Cinema cheesy movies.. Let's start with One more chance. hehe Sarah and John llocke este John Lloyd? hehe

Questions swirling in my mind.. Will I like it? Is it fun? and after this movie ba, makakarelate na ko sa kanila? hehe I don't know what to expect but the important thing is enjoy watching..

Naman oh.. kala ko makakatsamba pa ko with 7, pero niyek, that dude is lucky.. =) Damn, sino kaya ang magiging next better half ko? hehe

The answer is taking some time, and I am still waiting.. I can't wait for it.. =)

Besides, I don't want to reach na 40 na unplanned posts na at eto pa din problem ko di ba? hehe
