I'm Coming Home
(Part one)
Masarap siyempre umuwi sa bahay kasi di lang dun ka nakatira, dahil din dun ka nakakakuha ng lakas at pagmamahal. Kung mag isa ka lang sa buhay, dun ka naman makakapahinga. Medyo nalate na ko nagregister for KCON for this year dahil sa tight funds. hehe Pero thank God for some help at di naman ako nahuli sa register. Yun nga lang, talagang di ko nakuha lahat ng gusto ko talks pero.. Sa huli, masasabi ko na it was better, way better than last year! Dahil late register, eh yun talks ko sa bandang third day eh medyo alat pero siguro napunta din ako dun para mablessed. Thursday edition really was bad choices for me, talagang way off and buti nga di ako nakapunta.
Kung nagkataon pala, thanks to APEC eh medyo napadali yun pagpunta ko sa KCON. Namove kasi yun Thursday and Friday skeds to the weekend, kaya buenas talaga. hehe Ok, let's move forward sa mga napuntahan kong talks.
First talk was Innovation Economics, Leading with lesser resources ang topic. Dapat yun business class kaso ayun ubos. hehe Pero sa first talk, dahil short time lang, eh medyo short lang yun sharing and talk. Sa talk kasi na to, tatlong speakers kaya ayun, medyo bitin pero sulit naman.
It was started by Coach Joel Banal.. Noong nakikita ko siya sa first session dati sabi ko, magshashare kaya siya? Yun pala, sa KCON na siya lalabas. As expected, dahil one of the great basketball coaches siya, una topic niya eh about nung nagcoach siya sa Mapua. Di ko akalain na wala pala siyang star noon? Tama ba yun? Back to back champions pa! Kevin Ramas lang ang player niya narinig ko. hehe Grabe.. Kaso dahil short yun time, eh gist lang yun nasabi niya. Pero interesting fact, may IS school pala yun family niya at way more affordable ha.. Parang naisip ko, pag may anak ako, dun ko nga enroll. Yun lang, sa Pasig. hahaha He started yun discussion na I forgot yun 8 princples, galing from a google executive pero first 4 steps yun sinabi niya. Very deliberate yet effective steps ha. Nagulat ako sa radical na decision niya about sa coaching niya na imbes kumuha sa labas na player, sa intramurals within Mapua na lang. Ang hirap nun saka yun impact word niya eh innovation. Dahil maliit yun line up niya, sacrifice offensive rebounding, daanin na lang sa speed at pressure ha. Yun lang ang line up niya, no big man so yun. hehe No choice siya. After the 4 steps he discussed, eh sumunod na si Bro. Monching. At first, it's the first time I saw him at tama siya, akalain mo builder siya. hehe Kidding.. Siya pala builder ng Marikina and Sta. Lucia sa may Rizal. Grabe, di lang siya masaya at makulit, very related yun ginawa niya sa topic. Grabe, eto kung baga, ililibing na lang, nabuhay pa! hehe No kidding, coming straight from him, muntikan na pala isara yun Marikina kasi well, yun sikat na builder dun eh napromote at bigla from security ministry, biglang si Bro. Monching ang naging builder. Kahit ang ginawa niyang sharing eh isa beses lang at inamin niya di pa maganda. Kung baga, kaw na bahala! hahaha From endangering to close ilang months, dahil lang sa mga strategy ginawa niya at innovate at a bit of sacrifice.. Ayun from 30 attendees, naging dalawang session na ata sa The Feast niya at nanganak pa sa Sta. Lucia. Iba talaga nagagawa pag dedicated kang servant ni God. In the leadership and strategy niya, nakakatawa kung ano ano ginawa nila para dumami yun attendees, kahit magmukhang perya daw sila pero it's worth lalo na, small budget. Galing niya. Saka yun mga banat ha.. Alam na ano past ni brother. hehe Kidding.
Last speaker sa topic si Bro. Arun, ayun as usual, masaya yun talk niya. Simple lang yun sharing niya pero nakakagulat na grabe nilaki yun The Feast sa Alabang. Matindi yun hardwork niya at yun tinuro naman niya, proper deligation of work. Nakakatawa which is true, yun pagsulat sa bulletin, talagang inamin niya iba nagsulat pero of course may credit din. Kahit pala sa libro ha, humingi ng tulong pala siya. Sometimes, tama talaga na hingi ka ng tulong sa iba, lalo na sa nakakaalam nung gagawin. Naisip ko yun dati, grabe, self taught and yes, matanong ako ng tulong sa iba. Hanggang ngayon ata. hehe Anyway, great first talk at ayun... Bitin talaga..
Second talk was a first for me. It's about education and it's home teaching. I don't know what I'm doing here but kasalanan ko naman kasi wala naman ako ibang choice. Ala naman pumunta ako sa single women topic. hahaha Anyway, sorry I forgot her name, pero isa lang naman siyang prof with Doctorate degree sa UP, in education and sociology ba. She discussed different ways of education at how home school benefits saka yes, effective teaching methods na sana ginagawa ng mga teachers! Well, may history pa ng school na kasama. Sa kalagitnaan ng talk, parang ang sarap pakinggan, tapos bigla na lang pagbukas ng mata ko.. Anak ng tinapa, matatapos na yun talk! OMG! First time nakatulog ako sa talk. Sorry po. hehehe Anyway, parang naisip ko din na mas effective yun ibang style of schooling like home school or i forgot the name of the that method, yun parang low ratio setting and more on application than memorization of ideas. Parang ok yun sa bata. Ah, yes, the Iceland case pala. Sana mayrun dito at dapat sundin yun kahit ilan schools. Way more effective and less pressure sa bata.
Last talk, a quite interesting talk. It's about a simple guide to a healthy leadership. Bro. Bert Miranda discussed about it and it's a surprise na kahit self explanatory and easy steps yun sinabi, ang galing nun explanation niya about the topic. Sinabi niya yun in a very short time. Lalo na yun proper mindset ng leader, being healthy and most importantly, have faith sa leader or of course, prayerful. hehe A leader can do a lot but prayer can do a lot more. Di lang faith for being a leader, siyempre sa members din, lalo na in difficult times.
See, how short those talks are at masasabi ko, tama din yun mga napili ko. Siguro sabi niya, tama na muna ang Business and Career talks, dito muna sa leadership and education. Pwede ko pa nga habulin yun Thursday talks kaso it way different at di ako makakarelate. Managing church events, nyek. hehe Bully ology, yes I moved on from that and I don't need it. hehe Coffee date, ok na yun dati nakuha ko about one on one discipleship.

Then ayun na, I needed to watch jdrama or eiga with her on it. I understand the qualms of the fans na sometimes, she can't really act or sometimes, the role parang di fit sa kanya. Kahit di ko napanood lahat pero some of the snippets or scenes in some of her shots, yun nga parang nilagay lang siya para gumanda yun show. hehe Great example, ouroboros! Ok lang yun ginawa niya pero marami pang mas bagay na role for a teacher. Yun lang kulang pero eye candy pa din. hahaha
It doesn't mean palpak lahat. hehe Watch siyempre departures, saka Bubble Fiction, tapos parang fave ko yun Key of Life. She looks good at ok yun acting niya sa Zero Focus. Of course, I'll watch more about her sa eiga. Sa jdrama, mahilig siya mag guest ng one episode or cameo pero halos ok naman lahat na jdrama na kasama siya sa main cast except for one jdrama, Seijo. Avoid that jdrama, kahit sobrang ganda niya dun... Wala din. hahaha Sakit lang sa ulo. But seijo is a great example kung gaano siya kaganda, I mean may mga scenes dun na kailangan bata siya, habaan lang yun buhok niya. Pag matanda, iksi lang yun buhok niya, ayun na. Pero di pa din halata na matanda siya. hahaha
Saka yun look na nakangiti siya, at short hair, ay heaven. Hahaha Saka kahit di naman siya mataba, tama lang sa kanya yun figure. Love those eyes and yun dating niya.. Grabe.. What a darling. Anyway, kahit matanda na eh pwede pa din pantapat yun ganda niya sa mga bata.. Pero may mga papalit na sa kanya, such as Goriki, Hirose, Nounen. Sila yun may mga dating na nadadaya ang edad. hahaha
I hope she'll improve her acting lalo na tumatanda siya at ano pa ba, sana mag mukhang matanda na siya kahit kaunti. hehe Yun lang. Such as lovely face.. Hmmm yun dating niya parang may kilala ako na ganun din in person. Kaso di ko pa siya nakikita in years.. hehe For now..

Flashbacks: A Snake in down south
(disclaimer: This was my point of view then. For other details, ask him. hehe)
I was going to my sister's house then.. As you know, she lives in Las Piñas and at that time, of course just starting at UST and yeah, meeting friends within UST and out. There was a girl that time, who well, girlfriend of one of my friends.. Then that time, SMS was the thing and it's easy to communicate unllike these days with all that apps coming out.
What I remember, I told her I'll be going to my sister's house and since she's living at the south, I asked her to meet me, simple meet up. She said ok and fine, so there, after that end of school week, I went to LP and to one of the famous malls there. At that time, I don't know what to expect and just well, looking forward to meet her. I arrived at that mall and waited for a bit, and yeah, I saw her. After that, we talked, ate and that's it. It's not a long time, and we did not even well stay long at the mall. It was fun and just shared some stories and that's it.
This was blown out of proportion, well not really hurting but at that time, this friend of mine, even we did not really discussed it, all of the sudden making weird jokes that I'm cheating him and user and yes, a Snake. hehe
Geez, will I ever do that? Of course not! hahaha Maybe he's paranoid. That went on, even after we graduate and this hidden story always use as his joke to me. I don't know, this event maybe made us great buddies.
Everytime we look back, this event was kinda put a smile in our faces. It's just crazy but well, I thought of, I'm very friendly when I stepped up in UST. That's all I can think of. And definitely, I won't cheat a friend just for a fling or whatever. It was really funny when I heard his side and I don't blame him. Geez.
Anyway.. Great thing, those 3 people moved on through their lives in a better path.
I still go to the south, because my sister still lives there and some of my friends.

Not Showing: TAG (Sion Sono film)
89 mins later. WTF! Di ako makapaniwala na ganun pala.. Ganun kalala yun film. hahaha Ok na yun first 20 mins pero nung bumabagal na at ano ano na sinasabi nung mga characters... Bwisit, ano na naman ito? hahaha I don't know what Sion Sono thought of making the film confusing na pwede naman simplehan di ba. The worst part of the film talaga was the screenplay. Grabe, as you want to know why all these things happen, eh lalo lumalayo ka at napapatanong kung bakit ko pa pinanood ito. hehe Dialogue doesn't make sense, ang may silbi lang eh yun sinasabi ni Triendl Reina.
Another thing, sayang yun ibang stars na nasa film, namely Saito Takumi and Shinoda Mariko. Si Mano Erina, forget it. hehe Sana di na nagpalit si Triendl Reina ng face at the succeding scenes. Bwisit talaga. Sayang yun effort nila at sana ibang role na lang sila. Another thing that made the film bad, some scenes, just did not work. Lalo na as the ending comes, I thought, I just want to end it. Not interesting or exciting unlike the first minutes.
Well not all bad naman yun film. Ok yun setting na ginawa ni Sono dito. Give credit to editing na kahit sobrang gulo at nakakabad trip yun story, galing pa din na di nakakahilo yun pagkaedit. Maganda yun mga running shots dito, mafeeel mo din yun rush at yun pagod. hehe At ang pinakagusto ko part, yun first minutes talaga, the shock, gore and thrill factor all in one. Lalo na yun part na nagwawala na yun mga teachers. hehe Ah don't forget the skin shots. hahaha Yes, give credit to Triendl Reina. Galing niya dito saka she can act. Hirap yun ginawa niya dito, lalo na yun first scenes. Magaling siya at may future!
I think Sion Sono really fast paced making this film. I mean kung may target ka naman na 6 films to release this year, malamang may films ka paspasan mo na! hehe Lesson learned, ok yun may target pero sana naman, make all those films kung di kaya maganda, make it memorable.
This one, not memorable, kukunin ko lang kasi it's Sion Sono. I hope this film is only one of his bad films done in a bad time.
Yakuza Apocalypse or TAG? Hard to answer. Almost fail pareho eh.
Hard to decide. hahaha I learned, I still continue to play TAG.
In the film, I don't know why its called TAG anyway. Don't tell me it's because of the switches?

Jdrama: Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san
Well, kahit short and simple lang ang jdrama, nakakatuwa siya. Sana nga regular series siya or kahit papano, 30 mins ang bawat episode. It is surprising na this year, some jdramas are getting big budget cuts. Starting from Fuji TV. Starting of na short series and episodes like this. Ayun nakakatuwa siya kasi ang topic eh pinakafavorite ko na japanese food o kahit sino ata, Ramen! Grabe sa 4 na episodes, lahat ang sarap ng Ramen except yun episode two na maanghang. Bawal kasi ang maanghang sa akin. hahaha
Pinakafavorite ko na Ramen, yun first episode saka yun 3rd episode. Grabe, parang dapat di ako kakain ng ilang araw pagkatapos ko kumain ng mga Ramen na yun. Lalo na yun first episode na Ramen, di ko alam kung mauubos ko yun. hahaha Masyado ako nafocus sa Ramen. Yun lang kasi nagpaganda dito kahit ang bida eh si Hayari Akari. Grabe, di ko akalain na galing siya Momoiro Clover Z.. She doesn't look like one. I bet she sang yun kanta sa episodes. hahaha Basta ok siyang lead, saka may dating siya na itatagal sa industry after the idol group.
Ok lang yun other stars dun, saka nakakatuwa yun fourth episode. Nagsama sama sila for the sake of Ramen. hahaha Kahit serious si Koizumi, may nakakatawa pa din na moments. Mas nakakatawa, yun ratings ng show, mataas for her timeslot. Mas mataas pa dun sa isang Fuji TV primetime jdrama na nagflop this year.
