Well, Dad loved it because of the luscious scenery all throughout the film. For me, I hope I could have used the free ticket to watch Popoy and Basha. hehe I'll tell you why, it's not what I hoped for.
Everybody has high expectations for the film, after the very successful Skyfall, they or we expect if not better, a good follow up Bond film.
After 2 and a half hours, I thought I almost watched a Quantum of Solace part 2. The better version of it yet a lot of lack. First miss of the film, or should I say, the weakest part... The dialogue/plot of this film. I mean, I hope the plot is at least half good of Skyfall or Casino Royale but it seems they rushed it. After Sam Mendes declared first that he'll back out of this film then changed mind, that affected this film. I'm not 100% correct but I felt that swift decision to go back did not help. Next time, producers shouldn't insist if the director doesn't want to do it again. It's like I'm watching Moonraker or Octopussy in a more visually appealing way.
Another major flaw, Short times. Short time that menacing Batista screen time. Christoph Waltz as a major villain, even he done his best to act out, but I felt he came short. Short time for Belucci which it shouldn't be. hehe Short time for a marvelous aston martin car, one of the great looking cars shown in a bond film or any film. So, for short. They fell short.
Enough of the short.. Third flaw, or last flaw, the last arc of the film, although it's good looking, I fell flat. I mean, I felt that when they went to this place, I knew I'm going to watch those Bond films like I mentioned above, the streotype bond flick that he visits the villain's HQ and bomb the place. Jeez, I knew it right. Even with good actors and effects, it became predictable and yes, until the last action scene, became Mission Impossible. Good job!
Of course, these are the factors why this film kinda saved it from being Quantum, by an inch. First, give credit to the editor and photographer who really made this film very fun to watch. The night chase, the first action scene and the film did not give me a feeling that is dragging. Although with the biggest flaws, the editing and photography, it's a saving grace. It's nice to watch this film. Another credit goes to the technically possible action scenes. You'll see why Daniel Craig kinda want to give up his role. Geez, he done a lot of action and running and driving and swimming. hahaha Swimming to ehem. Anyway, yeah the action scenes were great, like the one on one by bond and assassin. That was tight and good.
Lastly, the cast ensembled for this film, despite the big flaws, they still done a wonderful job to make this film enjoy to watch unlike Quantum. Christoph Waltz is a great actor, I hope and I know he might be back because of what happened to him. I hope next time, he'll be back better for his character. I love how he deliver the lines and how he shows up every scene, except for that last scene.
Ralph Fiennes is good, Naomi Harris this time has a short part but still good, fit as moneypenny. Batista's character I hoped that will show up at the final action scene. hehe Ben as Q, he got it, just don't change the dude, he's perfect for Q! I mean the main MI 6 characters really fit for their roles.
Of course, Daniel Craig who despite less dramatic scenes this time, but he pushed a lot of action scenes for the whole film. Most of his scenes made sense and some of the time, it's thrilling, like the first scene. It's sad that how this film was made, it looks like and feels that indeed, Daniel made this film, as his final Bond film. I hope he'll do another one, just last one. But if not, that's fine, I'll put him in top 3 as James Bond.
Lastly, the most important part... When the news broke out that Belucci and Seydoux will be one bond film, the first thing I said, Daniel Craig is the luckiest James Bond actor ever. I mean he got all the beautiful bond girls ever! He beat the crap out of Roger Moore and Sean Connery. Geez. Monica Belucci should have been a bond girl before but well, great thing she catched the last bus for being one. hahaha What a legendary beauty.
Then you add Lea Seydoux who I can say, helped the film moving forward, looks stunning especially in that grey dress she wore. She looked like those classy women in black and white films. Very sophisticated and beautiful with those blue eyes. Another great thing, neither of them did not die! Good thing indeed. One of the best bond girls assembled in a bond film.
I should stop right there. hehe Anyway, hmmmm after this film, I don't know what they will do again for James Bond. Strong speculations they may go to a black Bond or very young Bond. I mean Casino Royale is enough for a backstory right?
If I'm the writer or director for Bond, I want Bond to be in a die hard situation. You know like he's doing a mission but he end up like doing other mission because of the situation. I don't know if they done that but that will be interesting. A young Bond will be fine as well. Black Bond, hmmm I don't see Bond as black, not because of the race, but he might end up like Black Dynamite. hahaha
Well, kudos for Daniel Craig for giving us a great montage of present Bond.
By the way, that dude who said this film is a different beast to Skyfall. It is a different beast.

Nandiyan lang siya at taga dala ng pera at taga bayad. hehe Naisip ko lang kasi, siyempre yun mga chaperone mo eh kamag anak. Tito o tita ang lagi yun mga sumasama sa'yo.
Ginagawa ito noon kasi nung bata ako, eh medyo palabas ako lagi, eh di naman lagi sumasama sina Dad or Mum, so inutos nila sa mga kapatid nila. Lalo na si Mommy na puro yun mga Tito ko sumasama sa kin lalo na sa mga pasyal. Or minsan si Tita din, naisip ko nga, parang sa side ni Dad eh doon sa US, noong pumunta ako dun, ayun kasama ko sila. Pero di na chaperone, kasi iba na yun. hehe Napansin ko lang kasi noon panahon na yun, basta paglabas ng bahay at punta sa mall, eh turo ko lang gaya lang SM north. Kausapin ni Mommy si Tito tapos ayun, samahan na ko punta ng SM at mamasyal. Yun lang. Kain, laro at minsan may binibili lang para sa kin.
Ngayon, naisip ko na parang di lang pala utos na samahan ako lumabas, kung hindi siyempre enjoy na kasama sila. I mean natuto ako paano gumala at a young age! hahaha Saka paano mamasahe saka directions din kailangan memorize.. Saka paano magtanong o umorder lalo na kakain ka sa fast food or sa food court. Tito Dan naman, ayun, isa pa siya na nung bata hanggang mag HS na ko, pag may pupuntahan at kailangan nandun din siya kasama yun blue niya owner na jeep! Kahit minsan napabagal magdrive pero nakakaabot naman kami. Matutuwa naman ako sa kanya dahil masarap naman siya kasama kumain sa kwentuhan sa basketball! Nakakalungkot lang, sa huli kahit gawin na namin lahat para gumaling siya, eh di din nakaya.
Ah di pa naman lahat sila napayapa na, nandiyan pa din si Tidad na di lang the best tutor kung di siya ang una nagdala sa kin sa DV! hehe Tapos yun mga katulong dati pag no choice na. hahaha Kahit sa palengke o punta sa bahay ng barkada o minsan kakain sa mga ganito, sila kasama. Lahat sila, siyempre malaki natulong at kahit well, matanda na, eh nakakatuwang isipin na kahit di ko naramdaman yun importansya nila dati nung bata ako.. I was surprised that Sting has a picture with the Sting from the Police! hehe Anyway, that was one of the shots that I liked when I watched this simple documentary. Thanks to Algerro's favorite appetite to watch wrestling documentaries that week, I also enjoyed his viewing. For those who don't know Sting, ah he's one of the best professional wrestlers in history! The only or one of the great wrestlers outside WWF. For short, he's kinda legendary..
First time I saw him was in that WCW game in NES, wayback my childhood years. I have no idea that time he's the main attraction in WCW but he looks cool.. Then decades after, even with WWE domination in my HS years, WCW was going into ruins but one dude stands firm, that was Sting. It's interesting that this documentary was really focused from Sting's beginnings into his first time ever joining to WWF last year..
Few things that I hoped they added in this documentary.. First was the section where ultimate warrior and sting tag team story was kinda short and Ultimate warrior himself only has one shot. Another thing, more clips of his best matches althought not possible due to the editing of this film will make it longer.
It's a joy watching how Steve Borden begun from a sport freak guy into a legend. A lot of surprising facts shown here which added the fun into this film. One of the suprising facts that he did not really go to wrestling training unlike most of the WWE or wrestling stars. He just maintained his body very much at that time and someone just invited him to wrestle. Another interesting facts that why he did not jump to WWE for the longest time. A lot of interesting facts coming from him and how he told the stories even he's matches with Ric Flair.. Even he says that it's all the same, it doesn't show in the scenes or clips of their matches.
I love on how he thought of the best Sting form, which was the crow style and his entrances and stuff. I also love the scene which he shows all the outfits or memoribilia used in his previous matches throught out the years. Great thing that WWE also shown how they welcome wrestlers and their HQ which is quite big.
While Sting talking not only his wrestling life but also more into his personal life, I got to appreciate what he did in his career. Even he did not earn big unlike the WWE stars, you can see him really enjoyed on his decisions. I admire his priority for his family and sticking into his faith even with the toxic environment he involved into. What I also liked was his anticipation joining to WWE, he's showing his nervous emotions even he's a legend in wrestling. You gotta liked what his peers saying to him in and outside of the ring.
As you see, it's hard not to love this film especially for wrestling fans or simply like me who knew pro wrestling before. I guess that one of the films that me and Algerro liked. hehe
Great lesson there, even it looks like too late for him, Sting still came into the light. To do what you want as long it's the right way to do..
Damn one more thing, that's the strongest tag team ever, Sting and Ultimate Warrior!! I can't believe they did work together. hehe

Nakita ko naman sa youtube videos na talagang panalo ang 711, lahat ng services at kailangan mo kasi nandun. All in one kung baga.. Parang 711 ata maglaunch sila ng bangko sa sariling convenient store ha. Akalain mo yun, bangko? hehe
Ang style naman ng kombini (japanese word for convenient store) dito.. Eh parang mamahalin sari sari store lang. Pero si 711 eh may bayad center naman, kaso may limit nung sinubukan ko dahil sa meralco or tubig, so ala din kwenta. hehe Unlike naman sa classic sari sari store, eh wala naman ibang item na meron gaya ng mga ulam or soft serve ice cream.
Hmmmm Mini Stop? Ang sarap ng bbq glazed chicken! Walang sinabi ang bonchon na 200 pesos eh ilan segundo lang! hehe 130 lang, 2 malalaking pcs tapos 2 kanin, busog buong araw! hehe Dati kasi yun fried chicken nila minsan umay lalo na pag lamig na yun chicken. Unlike itong glazed, tanggal umay yun sauce saka di na kailangan gravy. Saka sulit kahit 1 pc! hehe Isa lang yan sa panalo dito na makakain! Siyempre, wag kalimutan ang budget starbucks nila, Chillz. hehe Naku kung kailan bawal na ko or well, minimize of kape and chocolate, lalong masarap yun chillz chocolate coffee nila. Bad trip.. hehe Pero dati, hershey's chillz talaga order ko. Kaso talo lang yun halo halo saka yun bwiset na rasberry chillz. Parang ice candy lang na mahal! Masarap din yun mga ulam nila, pero halos lahat prito. Kahit yun siomai nila fried saka shanghai sulit naman. Saka yun hotdog sandwich na may mayo.. Sa tagal ko kumakain sa kanila, di ko pa natikman yun siopao nila. hehe Ano pa pala, di makakalimutan ang budget friendly, high blood kariman! Lalo na yun tuna kariman (nilalabas lang pag holy week), saka yun choco/caramel kariman. Ay, pag budget, kariman plus chillz or kung sobrang budget, juice na lang. Pwede na! Ganyan kasulit ang Mini Stop. Panget sa kanila... Hirap ha.. hehe Ah pag sobrang bagong luto yun manok, ang hirap kainin, di pwede rush. hehe Saka minsan kung buenas eh may dugo. Pero napapalitan naman.. Di lahat ng stores may salad! Sarap pa naman nun. Saka di lahat ng stores may sundae cone.. Ano pa, ah! Well, kasi best seller yun chillz, 50% of the time, pagdumaan ako, "still freezing" sign nandun. hehe
Pwede pa sila magimprove, isa lang naman dapat gawin nila, edi magbayad center na din sila. hehe Yun lang naman. Saka ano pala, dapat paiba iba yun dating nung chicken nila. Family Mart! Launched this year ata, ah sorry end of last year.. Hmmmm Parang sa tatlo, eto lang yun talagang ginaya nila yun style sa Japan. Well lighted at sarap tambayan at yes, japanese food on the go! Naku, unahin na yun swirl na sobrang, sulit sa 35 pesos, except yun huli natikman ko na salted caramel flavor na di ko alam kung bakit siya salted caramel. hehe Pero yun green tea, blueberry ba yun or yun mixed, naku sulit!!! Saka yun mga bread at desserts, pero di ko natikman lahat, sulit din! I forgot yun name natikman ko, basta parang cream sandwich siya na hay.. Masarap, di masyado matamis, tamang tama lang. Ah lalo na yun mga drinks, yun mga ice tea na masarap nandito. Kahit masarap yun lipton sa mini stop, eh dito mas sulit, red tea yun panalo. Well ang pinaka favorite ko naman eh yun Milo Shake! Noong bata kasi ako, ovaltine ako lalo na sa pagpapak. Ang hirap kasi sa milo, hirap ng timpla.. Dito sa Family Stop, eto yun tamang timpla na Milo tapos shake pa. Kaya kahit 50 pesos yun large nila, kahit delikado sa lagnat sa dami ng ice, ok lang.. Ganyan siya kasarap. hehe Yun nga lang minsan panget ng timpla nila, parang bumili ka lang na malamig na milo. hehe Ok yun hotdog meal nila.. Ok lang din yun ramen nila, kahit medyo mahal.. Saka yun salad, masarap at sulit kasi marami! Ah yun gourmet sandwich nila, healthy and masarap din.
Hmmmmm kailangan nila maraming branch, kasi gaya dito, pag may pera, ang layo ng Family Mart sa amin.. Ang malapit Mini Stop at 711.. Sana dumami pa sila. Saka yun manok nila, medyo di tapat sa Mini Stop, mas maliit ng kaunti saka di naman gaano kasarap. Dapat yun Milo shake machine nila maayos lagi. hahaha Ah lastly, sana medyo babaan nila ng presyo yun mga foods nila. I mean yun meals at other food items. Di naman price drop but a bit lower, para mabusog ako 200 dapat gastusin ko. Sobra sobra sa mini stop ang 200, saka para nag jollibee na lang ako kung ganun. Pag tipid kasi ang funds, di naman mabusog pero masarap. hehe Good thing na may mga japanese food items sila benta like the green tea Kit Kat!
One time, nagwork ako some place sa chino roces ext, grabe... 711 country pala yun. Nandun kasi main office so ayun, parang 7 or 10 711 na stores sa isang street! Kung puro mini stop or family mart or puro jolly jeep yun mas sulit pa eh, kaso 711 lahat! Bad trip! hahaha Ah teka may maganda at masarap sa kanila. Yun salted caramel cone na 15 pesos lang! Hmmmm Sa kanila ata yun pesto mayo na dressing which nagpapasarap sa hotdog sandwich. Siyempre yun slurpee na masarap lang tikman once in a year. hehe Yun big gulp na talagang malaki. Ah yun 29 pesos sisig meal at giniling meal! 60 pesos dalawang ulam na, dalawang rice pa! Yun mga sandwich nila na sulit din like yun chicken pizza or parang grilled chicken burito. Ah siyempre, mister donut concessionaire sila. Ah... Lastly, dahil sila pinaka una, sila din yun pinaka marami. Minsan talaga, pag nasa place lang na sila may store, no choice di ba? Ah masarap yun hotta rice nila, yun menudo..
Well, yun chicken nila, mas masarap pa yun supermanok 2! (CRAP lang may alam noon. hehe) Or mas masarap kung ako na lang magprito. Kahit malaki, eh I don't know kung ano breading yun, ang alat. Kahit may free extra rice, di busog at sulit. Halos lahat ng hottarice nila, parang may araw na masarap, mostly di masarap. hehe Saka di convenient ha, unlike sa mini stop na ibang branch na may taga kuha ng drinks, lahat sa 711 effort, hanggang food kaw kukuha. Bwisit. hehe May salad sila kaso mahal masyado. At yun pala, kung may bill payment, sana lahat na di ba, di lang ibang company. Asar eh. hehe Eto pala, ang sikip lagi ng lugar nila. Ilan lang yun upuan, kaya ang hirap kumain. Ilan 711 lang yun malaking space. Geez..
Laking tuwa siguro nun main office ng Mini Stop sa Japan, kasi number 4 lang sila saka parang kaunti lang nila sa Japan. Dito malakas sila, dahil sa mga ibang menu saka masarap kasi. Kahit number 2 lang sila dito, eh matatalo din ang kalaban nila. Si Family Mart, eh lalakas din pero sana yun lang babaan nila ng kaunti yun price nila. Ok yun setting nila, light and fresh. 711 eh alam na dapat ang gagawin. Kung hindi, aba di na sila magnumber one pag tagal! hehe
Parehas naman sila lahat na convenient, I mean di lang yun nandiyan sila sa mga prime spaces but more what can offer. Talagang may mga mabibili ka gaya ng snacks o minsan magazine, dyaryo, o ako naman ballpen, mabuti nandiyan sila. At minsan pagsarado na tindahan, eh mayrun naman sila kahit canned goods at siyempre ang importante sa kanila, pang inom! hehe Kaya yun, ok naman sila pagdating sa pagiging store nila. Di ko pa nagawi si Lawson pero masubukan nga minsan. hehe May isa pang panalo ng convenient store kaso talagang kaunti lang ito, Mercury Drug! Grabe, di hamak mas mura sa lahat! Yun lang walang extra menu. Mayroon sila gamot! hahaha Gaya nun sa eastwood, pagsnacks at grocery, laking tipid sa mercury drug, kaysa sa Mini Stop. hehe
