realizations (part 24)
389. It was 38 months, jeez I don't know why I said that.
390. Well, like they say, I should really show my potential which brings me to a point, I thought I am using it already.
391. Kailangan ata mapress na ang aking personal goals. But I need some resources first, one is time, second, money. hehe
392. that yeah, payat ko daw even I feel bloated. Or gone fat..
393. I need to change clothing, or some fashion stuff.
394. Damn, I should watch na nga yun mga movies na nakuha ko, the real enjoyment is to watch them not leaving in a haystack.
395. liking somebody has a deadline, definitely.. Wag na patagalin, pag ayaw. Wag. hehe
396. youth is fading away.
397. Mayweather is good, but yeah, has poor or worse sportsmanship. Does he does that really for the money or just crazy?
398. How unlucky Adu was.

flashbacks: Ninong that I've never known
I believe that was some 2 years ago na Mom told me, that my Ninong passed away. I said to myself, wow, may Ninong pala ako. hehe
I remember, when I'm looking my photo album, yes from infant years to around 6 years old ata.. There was a one guy carrying me which Mom and Dad said to me, my Ninong.
I was already 26 years old and visited him, in Araneta Ave, in a casket. Geez, scary though. Pero yes, I am Ninong na din sa mga binyag, even si Jeleane, ako ang Ninong, kaya minsan nagtatago. hehe Or kahit sa ibang pamangkin ko, pero in times na may tanong or need naman, nandiyan naman ako.
Pero kadalasan sa mga Ninong no, pag may kasal or other occassions, they are there, but other than that. Wala sila. Sa kin, geez I've never saw him when I grew up.
But my reason naman siya.. In 80's, he thought of migrating in the US which is very easy at that time.. Then he worked for so long and after 20 plus years, he decided to retire here in the country but will have a vacation first para magplano sa retiro niya.
Kaso, very unfortunate na they say sa sobrang saya niya siguro or the feeling going back here after a very long time..
He suffered a heart attack and took his life. =( Sayang baka may pasalubong pa ko. hehe But sad to say, yun na.. Di ko siya nakausap o nakamusta man lang.
That's what his Dad says to us nung nagvisit kami ni Dad sa lamay. Kalungkot, life is unpredictable at some point.
Kaya siguro I'll do my best to really look after my pamangkins, see what I can do to guide them.. At mabuti, di naman sila marami. hehe Kakatuwa nga kasi si Dad, ninong siya ni number 6 and well, medyo nagamit ata yun advantage ko to meet her. Kaso yun lang, sandali lang! Naman. hehe
But anyhow, siguro ingat lang sa pagtanggap ng paging Ninong kasi siyempre di lang sa papel yun, pero sa life na din ng pamangkin mo. At least, some part of their lives, maisip nila na may Ninong sila..

classics: Apocalypse Now
It's the first time, I watched a movie in two separate parts. The first documentary was Fahrenheit 9/11, 2 cd's I mean 2 parts. For this one, it is like 2 cds, but what the heck, great quality indeed!
I am just trying to test this film in player and it runs smoothly and I watched it right away. A top notch classic..
Well, I was surprised that Francis Ford Coppola came to our country circa 1976 perhaps as imdb says and recruited vietnamese to shoot this magnificent. That's fine, I mean, nobody in our country would look like vietnamese except for the tribal parts of the film. That was Ifugao tribe and great shot.
Just few letdowns, even how great Marlon Brando is, but he is really out of shape, Coppola can get Redford, Pacino, or even Dennis Hopper himself for that role, which all of them physically fit. Marlon, nah.. That's why you cannot see his whole form in the movie.
Last letdown, there were parts that quite boring, especially when Capt. Willard had a stop over with a french family. Geez, I hope that was cut. The film can be shorter due to the plot itself, but that's fine, it's just for that small scene. Another thing, that performance of Marlon, is really, not worth 1 million bucks.. It's great but come on, his scenes, added up, did not even reach 30 mins.. That's $1 million for you, if its true according to imdb.com
Of course, the whole of it, great! Near perfect... Excellent film.. I watched a lot of war films, some of them boring, or some more action, less substance. This film, has great balance, great action, and great story.
I love the action scenes, like how they invaded one village and the commander still wants to surf even in that situation. Geez.. But he is quite lucky also.
The cinematography and setting, perfect, I was surprised it really took time and almost took toll to the director, meaning his life for this film. Scary..
The cinematography really great because it shows how detailed it was before, 60's, war and vietnam, the feel of the time. Of course, the setting is perfect as well, as the story goes on, it changes not physically or the stage itself but the feel of the movie. Yes, as long where Capt. Willard goes, you will be interested about it at each scene.
Editing, perfect, it's simple and detailed. Script? Although not literally perfect but it's like they're doing it for sometime, natural will be the best word for it. Like the role of Harrison Ford, he sounds like he's in charge. =)
Dialogues of Capt. Willard and his crew which they don't know that they are in deep sh*t mission, until each of them dies.. Ah Robert Duvall, wow, damn, cool sergeant. hehe Ah even, Dennis Hopper is great and of course, even overweight, Marlon Brando, even in a short presence, great part for him. Smooth yet deadly, however, he really wants to die I guess. Lawrence Fishburne is there, and very young! hehe
I know most of the war films are like just showing the horrors of war and effects of it, like Born in the fourth of July and others. For this one, half of it is about that, and half is about discovery and facing yourself of doing such dangerous mission. Geez, in the end, he chose to finish it, because of the rank! hehe That's human nature I believe..
As the pace goes on, from how Capt. Willard got off to the mission then joins the air support team, then off to terminate Col. Kurtz, the dialogues and script, just natural to them and you will be interested how things go in this movie, until the end. I love how Capt. Willard narrating the events, from this point to that point, especially when he faces, Kurtz.
Ah yes, this is, of all Martin Sheen movies, even it's not really oscar worthy due to some more dull scenes of him. This is my favorite. Maybe Charlie was inspired to be in platoon because of this film. =)
Overall, even this shouldn't be the first classic I write, but because it's the first time I watched this film, and I was excited after finishing it, definitely.. A classic film, one of the best and I'll cherish this film, watching it again sometime, not now. I need to watch more films. hehe
I wonder, why the film is titled Apocalypse Now? Hmmmmm
Great films has a weird title, perhaps take A Clockwork Orange.
I love the line, when Harrison Ford gave orders to Martin, he says, "Terminate with extreme prejudice". For short, kill the bastard. hehe
Ah yes, I am going to download the docu for this film. Yehey!!
Crazy Stupid Love
I thought I'll never going to watch this but oh well, thanks to our CG activity, we watched this before doing some work. =)
I thought as well, I can watch this with someone, it ended up with the group. Great..
When I saw the trailer, hmmmm quite suprised that Steve Carell has a quite serious rom-com but with sexy Emma Stone and one my idols Ryan Gosling. Then I think that this will be a good movie, and it took some time to watch it, because of some commitments.
The movie itself has some dull moments. Like one of my friends said that it's quite dull or slow until the climax of the story which is the fight and discovered that Hannah, which is Emma Stone, is Cal's son. Which of course, Jacob, ahh it's Ryan, who fell in love with. Of course Cal, the father, played by Steve, won't allow it. At first.
Ending is a good one, gave justice to all of them, except for the fact that Cal, became well, a player. =) But yes, Emily and Cal are kinda a sweet couple.
But yes, I felt that at the first parts of the film, very slow and thanks to Jacob, it gave life to the movie, specially the scenes which are funny, like Cal's transformation.
If you will remove that, geez, even it's an indie or art film, it won't work. The rating as well, made the story or the pace weaker, if it's like the R rating film, this will be different or better. Like the 40 year old or wedding crashers type films.
How about Knocked Up? I like that than this one. Even it has less drama, but it was effective. For this one, more drama but it was effective in the later parts, not those first parts.
However, of course, this film is not so bad. Why, because of the great actors. Steve was good, but not that great. Julianne Moore did her part, but in a good manner as well. Emma Stone should have more parts but yes, done her part as well, good. Great is Ryan Gosling because he has a different take on this character, simply deadly with the chicks and great change of heart at the end when he found Hannah. He really fell in love. The kids great as well, quite shocking though especially the babysitter and the kid love crush story. Quite funny and thrilling. Kevin Bacon, quite small part for him, especially got punched. Suprisingly, Marisa Tomei, damn! She's quite hot and funny though. Great role for her. How about Josh Groban! Damn, I just realized it is Josh after his last scene. He can go to acting.
Well, for me, this film, nah, I watched it once and it's enough. I'll just wait for other rom-com and I hope it will be better, good enough for collection and yeah.. I don't know, it's that great but not bad. It's worth the money, unlike Green Lantern. =)

It was a great way to start my month. Got the first 2 days of rest, and it was quiet and great for me. Even quite worried pero ayun, nakalusot na lang. Tried to go out, pero I ended up, by myself.
For this month, and yes, some surprises!!!! Pero ang sure eh, less work, more on usual routine stuff.. Saka yun sana, matuloy na yun kay Dad. Geez para matapos na at gumaling na siya. =)
Ah, what else, hmmmmm It Ber months and yes, Christmas is coming, and for me, looking forward to it kasi sa business. hehe Pero rest and others, siguro sa work, sana makuha ko na process at Var pay.. I need new shoes you see. hehe
