Nostalgia: Parlance

Well, I've enough giving thanks to Dell, iba naman. I want to thank for the company who enchanced my pathetic skills. =)

I forgot kung ano ibig sabihin nito sa French. It's a french word daw.. Honestly, I've never gone back to this place, may balak ako kaso since di pa ko nababanda sa Makati ulit lalo na sa Reposo eh ok lang, mukhang di ko na kailangan icheck pa ulit ang place. Malamang tapat pa din sila ng Grappa's. I put them at the 3rd place kasi without them, siguro di ako magkakacall center semi hopping. hehe

I still remember back in 2005, sobrang hirap magapply ng normal job, may iba kaso maliit at demanding ang trabaho. I cannot demand naman a higher pay kasi fresh grad. Then, I tried sa ePLDT, then they have one subsidiary which was called Parlance Systems Inc. Punta ako boni PLDT, then had a series of test at isang mahirap na interview. Napakahirap nun interview, parang sa comm law lang. Hehe After a long day of test at one interview, ayun, pinabalik ako next day sa Reposo office daw. Akala ko yun na ang test at tapos na..

Hindi pa pala, nagulat ako may phone interview tapos may interview pa na role play for advertisements tapos group pa ata. Grabe, mas mahirap yun pinagawa sa min, then after yun final interview with an OM.. My first contract show up to me and pirma na agad.

16 months later, I left Parlance kasi ibabalik ako sa inbound from eCare. Geez, no way! hehehe I can say I'm thankful sa Parlance kasi pag alam ka dun ka dati, at nagapply ka sa ibang center, parang preferred ka nila. Kasi naman, I can say mas ok yun language training dun at product training. Yun language training ba naman, trainer mo dating DJ ng NU, eh ewan ko na pag di ka natuto. Dun ko ata kinuha yun style and accent ko ngayon. hehe

Until now, eto ang pinakamahirap na account. Pinaka toxic at ngarag talaga. Well, mahirap yun telco account lalo na kung mga mobile billing, sa Parlance naku, di lang kasi customer service.. Pati inbound sales, promotions at matindi, basic tech support. Bwisit talaga. hehe Saka ang ACW, 2 mins per day, anak ng tokwa, di pwede matagal sa AC kung hindi sabon aabutin mo sa TL at workforce.

Customers? Naku, wala kang kawala, mabuti nga sa account na yun natuto talaga ng extreme patience. Mura, cursing at racist, nandun na lahat!! Tapos management wise, well it got worse nung tumagal. They are proud kasi noon na exclusive tapos 7 years ang contract.. Pero grabe naman ang demands, QA, AHT, ACW, at higit sa lahat, OT!!! Jackpot ka pag 4 x 11 ka shift tapos post or pre shift ka pa.. Sakit na aabutin mo. hehe Nabalitaan ko pa, kakatawa yun team mate ko dati, naging TL niya yun barkada ko sa UST na nakasabay ko sa Parlance, akalain mo.. Yun barkada kong yun, grabe ang pagiging TL niya!! Katakot, kaya umalis yun team mate ko. hehe Batok sa kin yun pag nagkita kami ulit. hehe At yes, sa HSBC, DELL at 24/7, may mga kakilala ako ng galing dun at we share the same experiences.. Horrific. hehe

Nakakatawa din, dun ko nakita yun second cousins ko, ibang barkada ko at yun mga kabatch ko sa UST, akalain mo dito kami magkita. hehe

But thankful ako sa experience na yun kasi marami talaga ako natutunan at siyempre mga kalokohan din. I've improved my communication, customer service skills at surviving that work. Thanks din sa eCare, nakaexperience ako ng backoffice, at dayshift. Kaso yun lang, maliit ang sweldo. hehe

Well, naging SpiGlobal na siya for now.. Sayang nga di ko nagamit yun medical cover ko kasi sila yun may pinakamagandang medical care, kahit magkano at saan ka maconfine, covered ka. Libreng gamot pa. hehe Yun nga lang, di ko alam kung kasama dependents.

I won't be surprised kung tanggal na ang Parlance, due to mismanagement and well, toxic account. I'll be surprised kung may bagong silang account at mataas na ang pay. Anyway, balita ko from naginterview sa kin last month, buhay pa ang Dish, may mga gusto kasi umalis na.. Malamang, martyr ka na pag nandun ka pa til today. =(

I still want to check that place, well, malas talaga pag dun ang shift mo kasi ang hirap lumabas sa gabi at napakainit pag hapon ang uwi. Nakakabad trip talaga.. It has worse and good memories. Thankful and relieved, after that, I did not experience it again in the other centers. Maraming medyo same experience, pero not that close and yes, never ever toxic like this. Geez..
