Siyempre, kaming mga BA grads eh wala naman board exams. However, my cousin has.. Congrats to Rae-Anne for not only passing the PT boards, but being 2nd place sa exams!!!! Galing!! Partida na yan. Bwahahaha

Saturday, I received a text from Dad na kailangan ko daw magproxy sa ceremony na to.. Maysakit kasi siya.. Although may kailangan ako ayusin ng Sunday, nagreply ako na sige ako na lang pupunta.. I am excited because it's the first time I'll be going to Manila Hotel and second, I'm very honored na makita si Cuz na kukuha ng oath taking, first time to see an oath taking.

Kasama yun kanyang sis na si Rachelle, and reliable kasamahan sa bahay si Uning at ang tito BokBok ko. After ng the feast, I went sa Manila Hotel, before 1pm. 1pm daw kasi yun start. I am looking around the crowd and it's a mixture of prom and party.. Yun iba sobrang formal.. Yun iba, clubbing ata pupuntahan. hehe

Well, Rae-Anne looked great, in a simple dress and yes nakaheels. I can't believe na before, batang bata lang kami na sobrang makulit at laro laro lang, pero after decades, here we are. I am old, and they, just grown up, graduated, passed the board. Rachelle took nursing, Rae-anne took PT.

Anyway, as we're waiting, dissing happens. Kami nila Tito Bok eh panay comment, lalo na si Uning. hehe May pinagmanahan ata ako sa well.. Looking great scenery.. =) Although wag naman kaklase di ba.. hehe Manila Hotel, looks well, a symbol of Philippine ambiance. Rattan chairs, mga muwebles at mga ilaw din.

We had a hard time looking for seats, kasi sobrang dami ng tao, kala namin di lahat makakaupo. Laking gulat namin, yun mga nasa top 10, eh uupo sa harap kasi may medal pa pala sila! Ayos. hahaha Mga 2pm na nagstart and yes, the ceremony went through.. May walking ceremony, from top 10, heads ng board exam, PRC, the guest speaker and ETC. While the program was running, I am reading yun program book, UST got high sa PT exam, parang 2 lang di pumasa, out of 13. Sa OT.. Well, medyo alat yun UST. hehe UP, ayun, 100% lang naman.

Pero, other schools, grabe, may 20%-40% at may iba, di ko maisip, 0%. Kahit isa o dalawa lang kumuha eh ayun, walang pa din pumasa galing sa mga school na yun. Scary...

Program proper.. Quite boring pala eto kasi paano kung marami pumasa. Well, sabi ni Rachelle, sa Nursing which were 30000 passers, di yun isa't isa.. Oath lang, tapos na. hehe Yun prayer sa umpisa, medyo nakakatawa, pero ok lang.. Tapos yun na opening remarks, then the highlight came. Not yun bigayan ng certificates, or well, another highlight yun nakuha ni Rae anne yun medal with picture taking.. But this one, sakto talaga.. Good job.. I was not expecting to see him.. At this point of time, really unexpected.

The guest speaker, it's Kabayan.. Nuff said. hehe Eto, I did not see any bodyguards with him tapos bago pa siya umakyat ng stage, ayun, panay picture lahat. Actually siya unang dumating before the heads ng boards. Very accommodating, and yes, di siya tumanggi magpapicture.

After those introduction, nagspeech na po siya.. Everybody indeed listened to him, others got starstruck, while me, nah.. I am just staring at him and at the back of my mind, I still remember the stories of him, because of her..

The reason siya ang guest speaker eh siya pala ang patient ng isang head ng board exams, at take note, pumipila sa doctor, at nagpapappointment.. Meaning di siya nagpapa VIP. hehe He pointed out important things about his speech. Bilib siya sa ating mga PT dito sa Pilipinas and sinabi niya na magaling ang board exams natin dito kasi hinahanda sila para magtrabaho abroad. Competent ang mga PT/OT dito kaya hinikayat na sila maglingkod dito lalo't na may target din ang government for medical tourism which has a very big market.. At dahil likas tayong hospitable at masayahin, pasensyahin din, eh maipagmamalaki ang mga PT/OT dito..

Tama siya! Pero sa loob ko Tito, I hope you can tell that to your wonderful niece. Bwahahaha Especially staying here for work, and living in a happy life.. While nagspeech siya, I did not focus so much with this speech. Or even sa picture taking, what I want to know, was some answers to some questions. I'll keep those questions. =)

Well, if we can turn back time I hope, he did one thing correct.. Taking care of her admist of the chaos happening within their family. Fighting, abuse or whatever, especially at his niece's family side.. It was a very painful time for her, and for them as well. Alam ko mas malamang break din kami, but sana dati pa, magandang buhay na yun natahak niya, rather than punished for a very long time.. A very long time..

So, ayun.. After that wonderful speech, eh the awards, another set of speeches and yes, the long list of giving out the certificates.. Mabuti, kaunti lang yun OT. hehe Marami ang PT, which mga 300 sila. Unfortunately, yun food namin eh long wait din. Nabigay lang yun food after nagtanong ng waiter ng stub from us, at halos lahat nakakain na! Worse...

Kawawa nga yun mga katabi namin matanda, galing pa naman Cebu, kaya sila'y nagbibisaya pa man day. hehe

The food? Come on.. I rather eat lucky me pancit canton with kanin. Chicken was good but damn, bitin. Ensaymada, parang binili lang daw sa labas.. Hehe Malala yun kaysa sa inisip kong julie's.. At yun brownie, naman.. Parang cocoa sa bilog na hard pressed, may tinapay, lagay sa oven. Luto na! Sobrang tapang ng brownie. hehe Bwisit.

Natapos na din ang oath taking, everybody went home happy, at nakita ko yun certificate.. Wow, naisip ko, siguro pag sa law ako, ganun din! Kaya naisip ko, pag kampante na sa buhay ko at may time at lakas pa ko, mag law ako. hehe

Pumasa lang ok na, kahit wag na top 10 kasi malabo. hahaha

We went to Manila Pavillion.. Quite a 3 star hotel, although maganda sa loob, nagtagal kami sa cafe, eat some luscious mango cake at black forest!! It cost a lot, pero worth it naman. hehe One of the best cakes I've tasted.. Parang di ka madiabetic.

Why we are there? Because, etong si Rae Anne nagpareserve sa seasons restaurant, sabi niya, sulitin na ang buffet. Sabi ko agad, tama ka ng niyaya, hindi si Dad! Bwahahahaha

Pag upo, ayun na.. Start na! They have sets, a lot of dishes to choose from. Many than Yakimix.. I tried yun mga fried and steamed meats, tapos caldereta din.. Tapos may mga binalikan ako mga ulam, siomai at roasted chicken. hehehe Well, may pasta sila but not that good at first sight, di na ko kumuha.. Tapos, ang sarap nila magihaw.. Salmon eye the best!! hehe

Well, hmmmm 3 plates of meat, no rice! After that, talagang nagpahinga ako.. Grabe, medyo naexhale ako ng marami. hehe Tapos round 4 fruits na at ice cream.. Pang tanggal ng toxins na kinain, pambaba ng high blood. hehe Then, the last round, halo halo.. Grabe, kahit walang letche flan kasi naubusan, masarap! Maraming laman at masarap ang gatas.. And yes, the ice cream. hehe

Nung tinanong ko yun magkano, sabi ni Cuz, eh 650 discounted due to ensogo's promo. Sabi ko pwede din ito sa CRAP! hehe Ang real price eh 1300, but for me, pwede siya sa 1000 ha. Kasi sa dami ng dishes, eh di ko naman natikman ang lahat. May bagel pa nga saka anchor butter na tinignan ko lang. Yun mga ulam na pinoy, although kaunti lang pero sana natikman ko. Yun kanin, mukhang masarap, di ako nakatikim. hehe May roasted itik na di ko man lang natikman, at yun soup na masarap, di ko natry.. May crepe na masarap, tinignan ko lang. At ang desserts.. My God.. Doon ka magiging diabetic. hehe Grabe, yun na.. Although yun 1300 pwede na pero di sulit. But yun 650, damn.. Sulit na Sulit! hehe

Sa dami ng kinain ko, Monday night lang ako kumain ulit at pilit lang.. Kaunti lang kinain ko. hehehe

Thanks to Rae-Anne for the treat, sana every year may oathtaking. Joke lang.. hehe Ok lang yun treat mo, sobrang saya, naenjoy mo lalo na sa desserts, check mo na blood sugar mo. Sila Tito Bok, Rachelle at Uning, thanks din ng marami. Sana nandito din sila Tita Anne at Ryan para nakita nila kung gaano kalupit ang top 2. Naks. hehe Thanks for the ride at ayun.. Sulit, mabuti di talaga ako kumain ng marami that day.. Mukhang nakahanda naman ako. hehe

Masubukan ko na ng yun aloe vera sinabi ni Uning.. Baka magkabuhok pa ko. hehe

Well, for Kabayan, sa TV Patrol na lang kita makikita ulit or someday in the future.. Pa autograph na personally. hehe

Galing ng timing niya, I am thinking.. Will he greet to her upcoming birthday?
