Not Showing: Casa Mi Padre

Will Farrell made some movies that were classical funny, like Anchorman and Talladega Nights.. Even Blades of Glory. But some were just flat forgettable, you can count Bewitched and Land of the Lost. These past years, he's trying to get back that groove he had for his comedy..

Will speaking spanish is enough to make me have at least a fun time? He is speaking spanish eh.. Por pabor.. Let's see!

Que Horror! Bad script, well come with bad subtitles.. I know they may planned it but it's not that really good fun. Hmmmm poor props, especially that white tiger tries to do. It's just plain sad, that they did not exert some effort!

To sum it up, they have a great plan but had a poor execution. Poor one, although it's not too late to really put down this film.

However, the only great part of this film? They have a great cast, and yes, actors. I know it doesn't work all the time, but as long you have Will Farrell, Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal, yes you're not dreaming and in her debut role the super hot Genesis Rodriguez plus some great supporting actors and hot maids... Plus Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite!!! This film was spared from poor or worse comedy film.

Will should get a credit for speaking good spanish even he only got trained while doing this film. How about Diego Luna? Raul as a sleezy and addicted brother. Fun, some sort of wacko and I hope he'll do more comedic films. Yes, Gael was great in this film as the druglord, and 2 cigar hitter. Damn, how cool he is in that white suit? The most notable actress? Of course, Genesis, oh Genesis.. If that's my girl, I feel always fresh, I always look at her I feel.. It's a start of a new day..Anytime of the day, always the beginning.. Whew. hehe

Ah yes, give the film some points of that dream sequence, it's like the homage to Jodorowsky film's.. But that's it. I had fun listening to the spanish accents and some bloody action but overall, this ain't throwback mexican film. I hope they've done better and yes, better used the ability of the actors. Come on, with Gael, and Diego? You can have already a great fun spanish film.

By the way, nice house of their father.. Big one, I love that. hehe
