The Great Nameless Rain

I mean as you saw in my previous blogs that was 3 years ago. When I saw Araneta Ave, plus the bridge connecting to Roxas district (Pegasus then going to EDSA) was in deep waters, very deep one..

Oh God, I'm thankful that we were all safe here at our home, with electricity at least.

Sunday night, although it did start raining eh di naman masyado malakas.. We did not mind it. I was minding that RoS will win that championship and they did!!! Great job for them!

Monday morning, same day, katamad pumasok but well, rain did not stop pero di naman malakas. Nasabon pa kami ni TL after ng shift nung Monday, see you tomorrow na. hehe

Tuesday morning, this was it, I can't forget that very rainy morning.. I'm looking my usual Jeepney ride papuntang Pedro Gil, pero nung papunta ako ng BK aba.. Like I saw dati nung Ondoy.. Ang daming kotse sa BK!! Meaning, it's the mixture na mga taong papuntang Espaa na di makadaan at baka yun mga taga talayan eh dun na din nakatira. That morning was really scary thought kasi sa sobrang lakas ng ulan, wala pa ako nasasakyan, sobrang basang basa na ko.. I rode a cab and yeah, the only way to go to work, eh.. EDSA. Masakit sa bulsa pero I need to go to work. In this job, damn we need to work no matter what. Except maybe if it's really the end of the world. hehe

So ganun, pagdaan ko na sa mga streets, eh halos may mga signs na it will be a very long day for all of us.. Timog got flooded which I rarely see.. I got to work, I knew it.. Many won't be there.. Kahit yun TL ko di na nakaalis from Manda. Then others I knew won't make it lalo na from Pasig, Marikina, and Rizal.. Given na din yun Camanva. For work, I don't care, I felt na queuing na to at I just want to finish the day because.. Everytime I look at the mirror sa office, grabe yun scene, madilim yun skies and I can't see any clear sight of like calm skies or sorts. Mukhang Ondoy all over again.

Sorry, hangin Habagat lang pala ito, there is no storm or typhoon. The only warning that PAGASA can give was that weird color coding rain fall system.. Geez, now they can detect kung gaanong karaming ulan ang mangyayari. Even our SOM was not able to go at work, the director of our LOB and site. The TL's at the floor eh sobrang panic na, most of the TL's wala, at kung may TL, may mga agent na pumasok kaso mga 2 lang per team siguro. Marami na kung may 8 or 5 per team kasama TL. Ganun katindi ang ulan na yun..

The rest of the day, we were restless.. I mean, I hope there was MRT para makauwi ako ng madali. Pagwala, I knew I might stay in this desolated place. Geez, wala pa naman ako gamit. Others thought of dun na lang sa work magstay since the water rises and there, they can't go home. Marikina residents was forced to evacuate na. That's how strong this rain was. Kinda scary.. Then mga lunch time, as come to my suprise and first in my career, Malacaang cancelled all work, then later sa BPO na din.. Meaning pwede na kami umuwi due to the strong rain and floods all over the place..

They announced na OT na after 9:40am.. Sabi ko ayos, at least bawi yun isang absent ko kahit papano. hehe But anyway, I'm eager to go home.. I went home after 2pm then thank God, may MRT. I knew this heavy rain was no joke.. Better to stay home, or worse stay at your lovely office.. hehe

Rains got stronger as I try to ride a jeep sa Quezon Ave. May jeep pero no FX, malamang kasi kahit Morayta di na sila aabot. Malamang, Quiapo is impassable... I rode a jeep then pagdating sa Sto. Domingo, eto na.. Di na siya tumuloy, at kaya pala.. It's flood, until my knee.. My hurting shin due to well a slip last week, anyway. Naayos din pero grabe, as I walk from Sto. Domingo, Banawe, less and less vehicles try their luck going through those streets. Nakita ko yun street shortcut to Araneta Ave, grabe ang baha. Lubog na lubog.

I went home, soaked very wet at yun first time, pati yun loob ng bahay may tubig. I thought na irequest to turn off yun kuryente through the fuse box pero well, sige hanggang di pa umaabot sa outlet, gamitin ang kuryente habang meron pa.

Bad trip talaga.. It was very cold at that day and at night. More scary news came. Meaning no vehicles can get through. How about Araneta and E.Rod, lampas tao na.. Nadale pa yun Delos Santos hospital. Sto. Domingo church became an evacuation center, I only heard that this time.. Tapos yun na.. I decided, well, malabo na ko makapasok bukas. Geez.. I'm stuck here at home.

Sayang ang OT kung sakali pero since di pa ko pwede mag VL at hell with the work. hehe I decided na di na ko papasok sa Wednesday.. I slept with fear kasi baka abutan pa kami ng tubig sa loob.. Mahirap na.

Wednesday morning came, no sun came, it's all heavy raindrops and with some lightning flashes... Chest deep water level. Oh no..

I stayed at home, cleaned some mess na lang sa room at ayun, ang dami ko ngang kalat sa cabinet. Ang daming anay. Yikes!!! hehe I need to throw old stuff away and some stuff that should have been thrown in a bin long ago..

I slept a lot and yeah.. Please, it's really scary than ondoy. Indeed for me.

Anyway, Wednesday done.

Today has come, we saw the sun at around 2pm at the afternoon and yeah.. Rain stopped.. However, the hard part begins.. Getting up again.

Other areas medyo mahirap pa, like CAMANAVA and Rizal, at lalo na naman Pasig. Yun Wednesday pala di OT kaya ok lang. hehe Manda maybe like that for somedays. Pero yun Quiapo cleanup may take 4 days daw, so gastos ito papuntang work ulit. Bwisit. hehe Don't forget Lagunsilad.

Kaso wala talaga.. Geez, paano kaya to next week? May stats pa ba ako this month? hahaha Bahala na..

Here, there and sa south, wala naman ako nabalitaan na masama. This wind seems to be clever, with no real warning at all and yes, it's just hangin lang na nagdadala ng ulan galing dun sa bagyo from China eh ayun.. Eto a record of 3 full days of non stop water dropping menace. Thank God it stopped.. That's why I'm looking forward tomorrow to watch a movie with Rheg and so.. Get some another rest, getting ready for Saturday for another long workweek..

Unfortunately, as I feeling sleepy and sorts, eto may kulog at kidlat.. At umuulan na naman! Wag mong sabihin, nagpahinga lang si Habagat..

Or is this the real storm that we...

We hope..

Prepared for?

Dapat naman siguro, may pangalan siya di ba?
