NCAA

UAAP's competitor when it comes to college basketball. hehe Now, with PCU backing out and invited 3 colleges to try this league since they are kinda champions in their respective leagues, let me share kung sa kangkungan sila pupulitin o malamang final four. hehe

Well, alam natin, tapos na ang first round, tignan natin kung sino sino ang magsembreak ng maaga or tuloy sa final four and who will be the champions....

Hay, baka may copy paste sa ibang teams ha. hehehe Play ball.

1. Angeles University Foundation - Ok, First team in alphabetical order and the first team I think, will have their great early sembreak. hehe They don't defend, at kung nag run and gun sila, ayun, TO naman sila matakaw. Good job. Like what the commentators said, it will be a good learning experience. hehehe Well, pagnanood ako ng game nila (thanks to the TV phone and spare time) I don't know, mas lost sila kaysa sa NU and UP. hehe Siguro nga, ibang league na kasi ito. Kala nila madali. Ayun, isang panalo lang first round. hehe Well marami silang kailangan improve from offense to defense, kaso ayoko isa isahan dito. hehe Umayos na lang sila ha, sayang yun time and pera na pagsali dito. Number 10, period.

2. Arellano University - On the 3 new teams joined in this league, well, this is the only team came prepared. Kasi naman nagchampion sila sa NCRAA ata, I'm not sure, pero under sila ni Leo Isaac, so malamang maganda yun chemistry nila under him. Malakas sila offensively, no doubt about that. Well, sa tingin ko may chance sila mag final four, not only because of their record but on their offense. If the opposing team can't stop their offense, they win. If they were stopped, sorry they lose. Mga number four sila. If not, five because of Letran. Check it below why.

3. College of St. Benilde - Speaking of the rarely, epic 3 OT game, well what can you say about this team? It was a crazy game. Pero buti may Morial sila, kundi, naku hindi 4-5 ang record nito. hehe Ok naman ang line up nila, kaso ang problema, well is their offense. Medyo magulo offense nila, parang DLSU na may go to guy pero di nabibigyan ng bola. hehe Ang labo no. Sa defense pwede na sila kasi ayos naman yun coach nila, si Richard Del Rosario na nag host ng Baikingu sa TV5. hehe Seriously, all they need to do is what they do best, attack the basket. Well, the problem eh mukhang mahihirapan sila mag final four, lalo na Letran pa at Arellano pa yun maglalaban for the last spot. They have a chance, but slim, kung ang AU is 4 or 5, or even Letran, but sila, around mga 6th.

4. Collegio San Juan de Letran Correct me if I'm wrong. hehe Anyway, they are the 4th place in this tournament, it depends kung magkakalat sila. hehe Well, marami nawala sa team nila, pero ang natira naman, dalawang player na under Smart Gilas RP program. Naman, 2 unguardable players. hehe Natatalo sila kasi wala silang malaki na malakas or kahit effective. Kaso, wala eh, mahina yun sentro nila. Ayos. hehehe However, Jazul and Guevarra are really their main gunners. One big happy family. Di kaya nakakasawa yun? hehe Pagpasok mo, tapos practice tapos sa laro, tatay mo nandun. Nice college life. hehe Kahit wala silang point guard, power forward tapos center, eh effective silang team, yun nga lang, sa top 3, wala silang panapat. At least, nagtagal sila. hehe A sure number 4 team, but kung maginit yun AU and CSB, magandang labanan yun for just one unlucky final four spot. hehe

5. Emilio Aguinaldo College - Eto na ang copy paste. hehe Ok, they will have their great early sembreak. hehe They don't defend, yet they have complete line up pero they are lost din. Good job. Like what the commentators said, it will be a good learning experience. hehehe Well, pagnanood ako ng game nila (thanks to the TV phone and spare time) hehe Siguro nga, ibang league na kasi ito. Kala nila madali. Ayun, dalawang panalo naman sa first round. hehe Well marami silang kailangan improve from offense to defense, kaso ayoko isa isahan dito. hehe Umayos na lang sila ha, sayang yun time and pera na pagsali dito. Hmmmm. Mga number 8 naman sila. hehe

6. Jose Rizal University - Before the tourney started, sila ang pambato ko para magchampion. hehe Kaso after first round, well, that was changed. They are strong almost in all areas. Defense, experience, depth, and skills. However, they have a big problem. When they fought against Baste, the reason they lost? They don't have the size to match Baste's big men, I mean 4 of them. hehehe How about San Beda, well without Sudan Daniel, kayang kaya nila. Pero pagbalik niya, ayun, sina James Sena, even the african Njei, finish. hehehe Tambak ang JRU. Well, malaki ang guards nila, malakas din kaso masyado maliit ang 4 and 5. Tapos si Sena nagpadraft pa. hehe Si Wilson sayang, lalo na this year yun pinakamalakas siya. Kaso wala eh, maliit lang talaga sila, compare them to the athletic and long Baste and Daniel with Beda. They still have a slim chance, kasi kailangan ibang defense ilagay nila since ang liit nila, but for my bet, di sila magchampion. Pero sure naman na final four. Number 3. A lock or a chance for the top 2 slot. hehe

7. Mapua Institute of Technology - Well, kala ko copy paste, pero hindi, pero parang na din. hehe Siyempre di sila new team but when Dela Pea left and Pascual, they are like a new team. Many. Kahit si Victolero ang coach nila, they just don't work. It will work but some time pa. Run and gun won't work with them, half court set, doesn't fit. So for short, a learning experience. hehe Advantage, maraming shooters. Disadvantage, defensive wise, mabagal sila saka maliit sila, mas malaki pa ata yun EAC sa kanila. hehe Kaya ayun, talo sila sa EAC. Good job. hehe So sasama sila sa AUF, and they will be hmmmm 9th or 7th place, kasi may kaagaw sila. Look below. hehe

8. San Beda College - We did put up a stall once, in their school, way back College days. Anyway, with the departure of Sam Ekwe, many asked, who will be their main man now? The answer? With the MVP's backing, they got an american dude, under Sudan Daniel. Sagot? Baste. hehe Simple, because that team has men to put up against him tapos ang haba and malaki. Kahit 6"8' ka tapos dalawa naman 6"6' na maliksi tapos mahaba galamay, di ka ba matatakot nun? hehe Ganun ginawa ng baste, kaya ayun talo Beda sa kanila. Other teams tried to remove Daniel in the regular game, since from the bench siya kaso ayun, malakas naman yun mga guards like Lanete. If you can defend them, why not, pero wala eh. Letran tried that, almost but not close. JRU tried that but Daniel has less fouls, so ayun tambak JRU. hehe Daniel or Sam? I will go to Sam. For now. Kasi kahit walang post up si Sam, eh malaki naman siya saka wala naman katapat unless you have a perfect defensive plan for him. Kaso dominating talaga siya. Si Daniel, in the future, lalakas siya and better than Sam, kasi he wants to be near the basket, all the time, so may post up moves tapos may tira pa sa labas, panalo. Yun nga lang, the team is not good without him, so they just need to have a good plan to work as a great team without him. If not, they will be just number 2. Yes, runners up sila for me. But they have a big chance naman eh, basta they just need to have a good system with or without Daniel.

9. San Sebastian College - I was surprised when they are going 6-0, tapos naisip ko na panoorin ko nga, baka tsamba naman. Nung nakita ko sila, kaya pala unbeaten. Technically, they have a complete line up. Aquino of course. Sa low post, 4 to 5 guys who are tall and athletic, kaya si Daniel, di makadunk. hehe Ang problema pa, bata pa. Diyos ko, pano to next year? hehe Sila na naman ba? Yes, they are a young team, but a young team doesn't play like that. Maybe because of their new coach, Atom bomb Ato Agustin, looks deceiving, pwede pa ata maglaro. hehe Seryoso, mukhang magaling siya magcoach. Yun laro nga sa Letran, malapit na sila matalo kaso mukhang sinabon ng husto ni Ato, ayun panalo, sweep ang first round. hehe It doesn't mean, they can sweep the elims which a historic feat, but they are already dominating, lalo na yun isa, kala ko si Espinas, pero hindi pala. hehe Grabe, lalakas pa to in the future. And they are my bets. Bakit? Una, maganda yun line up and rotation, parang laging nakakapahinga ang players. Lastly, their offense is efficient and defense is effective. Kahit sa finals siguro, basta nakikinig sila sa coach, they play like a veteran team. hehe Pag nauna yun kaba nila, malamang, yun ang weakness nila. Kaya for me, sila ang champion. From a hurting kickout last year (kasi naman 4 na team 9-5 ang standing) hehe now a contender, that's a scary team.

10. Hay, ang haba, UPHSD na lang ha. - Ok, eto ang kalaban ng EAC for 7th or 9th position. hehe Di ko alam kung lalakas sila in the future kasi mahina sila this year, no star player yet mayroon naman kaso mga senior na eh. Malamang next year, ganito pa rin sila. hehe Well, ang wish ko sa kanila, umayos sila under Coach Boris and in the future, back to the final four. Run and gun sila kasi well, undersized. And they have no choice as well. hehe Besides, for this season, like what the commentators said, it will be a good learning experience. 7th or 9th tapos ayun mag sembreak sila sa Times st. in LP. bwahahahaha

That's all for this. Actually, they are worth watching ha, 10 teams eh. Pero with NCAA, maraming talents talaga, isipin mo, di sila napunta ng UAAP.

I just wish, one day, UAAP and NCAA will be under just one big freaking college league.

I hope that happens while I'm still alive. Bwahahahahahaha
